Nice job testing out the Mini Maxx at the skate park. I think all of the mini's do well in that environment because they are light weight. The mini Maxx is quite a bit bigger than the Grom or the mini LMT so I would imagine that it out performs them off road. If I was to buy another mini it would be the mini Maxx. 👍 Awesome showing ... thanks for the great content. 🫶
@RCRoads the mini maxx done well at the skate park and this was in cold temperatures! Due to the bigger wheels, it does perform better than the groms on grass. But the 223s groms are on a different level when it comes to speed dirt and tarmac. The LMT is more suited to a monster truck style than skate parks to be fair. The lighter weight on the minis helps massively! Thank you for supporting the channel it's really appreciated!
@@thercstore. Good advice and insight. I don't really visit skate parks that often because of breakage and bad driving skills. The mini's hold up quite well but the larger ones not so much. At least for me.
I was tempted to get something like this as a small area basher. The more I think about it though, it's probably better to stick with 10th scale. When Arrma updates the Granite like they did their other 3s vehicles, that'll be a winner.
@Marts112 Yeah, it's my little run around car, and it's a manual 3.2. Perfect to run about in and put a few rc cars in, especially on the country roads here. @gillian9178 Phil most likely put a vxl 3s system in it and sent it! It all comes down to how it's used. A hobbywing max10 sensored motor would be a safer option. However, if the diffs are breaking with 3s under normal use not jumping, then there's a problem.
@RcPlayer-tt2vw I've only compared it to what I own. Which was the x maxx. However, some people have stated it's closer to the slash. I have done a full unboxing video it's pinned at the top of the comments if you would like to see the chassis in detail.
@ I seen it and forgot , I read a comment as well and was just curious. I guess if shock towers are incorporated it’s a maxx style , either way it’s there style .
That's a compliment ripped off from Traxxas . Everybody I know ends up spending more money upgrading it to 3S , but the drive train can't handle the 3S. The Rlaarlo Rog 1 is much cheaper, but you get a lot more.
@Harvz78 In my opinion, you can't compare the two. You're comparing a 10th scale with a 12th. Everyone is quick to jump on the negatives, but bare in mind that most of the faults are after the trucks have been modified. Not defending Traxxas just stating that it's an unfair comparison. If you're comparing, yes, of cause the Rlaarlo is a better car from videos I have seen as I don't own an ROG1. Rlaarlo has great cars but by far the worst customer service and support, which for me i wouldn't purchase anything from them ever again. I agree that the mini maxx is not perfect but used out the box as intended. It's a good small fun truck.
What scale is this truck? I keep hearing different sizes ive heard from 1/14 all the way to 1/11th but is it closer to 1/12th or 14th? Lets ask it this way. Compared to something like the rlaarlo omni terminator hows the size compare?
@Booth73 I don't have a rlaarlo omni, so i couldn't compare aginst that. However, at the end of the video, I carry out a comparison for size. It's a 1/12th scale.
@thercstore. oh awesome. Ty i honestly haven't finished the video yet so I didn't see that part but tyvm. I may end up picking one up now. But my big thing was I dont want a 14th scale truck again they just seem to small for me. I have like 3 10th scale cars and 2 14th and the small ones never get used bc i hate the size. Just personal opinion lol
@Booth73 which is fair! It all depends on where you use them, etc, too. In the unboxing video, I put it next to a 16th to show the difference. In this video, I have put it against a 12th to show the size.

@butchmeister80 the purpose of the skate park was to show you guys it's capable but not to expect something crazy! Picking the litter up? I pay my taxes here in the UK. It was only when I started bashing it I realised how forgiving and durable the plastic X MAXX was compared to my Kraton 8s EXB and Outcast EXB. However I still thought it was over priced. But where the XMAXX came in to its own was cost of parts. Parts are so cheap on the XMAXX in comparison to Arrma. I guess that's why Traxxas over charge initially for the product to begin with. ps I don't support any brand! I just buy what I like and enjoy.
