The Mary chain ,The Smiths, The Bunnymen, my three fave bands of the 80's (and probably all time) was lucky enough to see all three live back then, All great live even if the mary chain was chaotic. Years later listening to them got me into Mazzy star ( another cool band). 30+ years later and still listening.

Back in the 80s my best friend and I worked all over the country floor laying and we used to have this song cued up on the cassette to play as loud as we could as we swerved away from work on the Friday afternoons...it was always the first song we played! Saw these guys in concert in Boston a couple of months ago. They sounded great. Lively, loud. I have wanted to see them live since I was a teenager in the early-mid 90s. It was great.
They 've always had a HUGE fanbase in Greece, from the very beginning! That fanbase is ever growing, to the day! They also played live numerous times here! I wish I had heard these guys back in the 80s, when they were current. I only learned about them in 2005, on VH1 Classics, when I was setting up my channel on RUclips and Delphi Forums (those were the days!). I am glad this song was played on the Walking Dead. Awesome music the present generation shouldn't miss out on.

The lead guitar sound is truly epic. It's been in my mind since I first heard it. It will never leave me. I know it may sound daft to some but because I've never seen this video before, I always pictured two singers in this group. One called Jesus Chain on lead vocals and the other, maybe his sister Mary Chain on backing vocals. That all changed when I saw the video for the first time.

Great tune watching Shetland prog had it in the background, brought back great memories.
saw them live last night in Southampton UK, and they sounded awesome...they have been on my radar since more or less 1987 when I saw this track on a NOW compilation I got for xmas 1987....and it stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the other pop/stock Aitken waterman dross on there :-) .and was intrigued since ...this song was 2nd in the set-list ....and they were top notch ..good on ya Brothers Reid
I'm listening now as im off to Liverpool in half an hour to watch them. I hope they're great so looking forward to it.. Known them since mid '80s too

The lead guitar sound is truly epic. It's been in my mind since I first heard it. It will never leave me. I know it may sound daft to some but because I've never seen this video before, I always pictured two singers in this group. One called Jesus Chain on lead vocals and the other, maybe his sister Mary Chain on backing vocals. That all changed when I saw the video for the first time.
Listening to the song makes me feel better.

Great stuff ... They were so cool, their lyrics are tender & heart-felt, full of expression & yearning yet their sound is full on, no tender soul is gonna get through, it's a hard, heavy expression

Don:t matter about "ratings, popularity" etc ... These guys defined the "alternative eighties". I men their lyrics, so tender, raw even, issues are raised & expressed & all delivered in terriffic, full-on feed back a-go-go sonic punch of brutal, honest performance.. They were cool, hard & hey fucking dangerous right?

Remember hearing this song for the first time on WLIR/WDRE in the late eighties. Still an incredible song.

There a great band but Simple Minds, Big Country and Lloyd Cole and the Commotions are all above them in my opinion in terms of Scottish bands.

I found this band by accident in 2002. One night on VH1(back then they played music) they played two songs by JAMC and I was hooked.
