Nice video, like you got into lure fishing not long ago, during the lockdowns, been fly fishing all my life getting into the car driving miles, now I just walk 10 minutes to my local canal the kennet and Avon beautiful country stretch light lure fishing for Perch and Pike, great fun. Tight lines
Some great pics from memory lane there Dave and I totally get this kind of fishing you are doing here. My dad used to take me to Hollingworth lake as a kid where I mastered the art of how to get the old spinning plugs tightly hooked into a newly knitted jumper my mum had made for me. It took us a while to get the hang of things but it's something that stays with you for the rest of your life. I used to catch a lot of Perch, Roach, trout and the odd Gudgeon . There were also big Pike here way back in the day.
It's something that never leaves you mate. I've always returned to it. My dad started us off fishing too. So many happy memories from fishing as a kid. Glad you only got the hooks stuck in your jumper - I ended up at hospital having one cut out 😬 Hope your keeping well mate and had a good Christmas

Which part of Erewash is that if you don't mind me asking? I was usually fishing upstream of Moorbridge Lane (that first bend looks kinda familiar) but that was about a year ago and ever since I've moved further up north I haven't been to Erewash. I'm closer to Pinxton stretch now so might give it a go as seen on fb page some lads were successful there. Nice video, tight lines!

Never fished it that far down buddy. I'd imagine there's plenty of access to it down that way
