The Zman CrawZ is a great finesse bait. I love this bait and I am excited to share this Zman TRD Crawz with you! The Zman Finesse Bulletz is the perfect terminal set up to go with the Zman Crawz baits. These little finesse baits have the same durable plastic that we know and love with the Zman products so it will allow this bait to float up off the bottom. It is going to be a sneaky little finesse bait that will work great for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. I am sure it has its time and place for spotted bass, as well!

Who is SmallmouthCrush?
Travis Manson was born and raised where the giant Smallmouth Bass of the north live...WISCONSIN. He started fishing from the bank at a young age and spent most of his childhood with a rod in his hand. Travis is primarily a self-taught angler that is always learning and experiencing this amazing sport of fishing. He started out fishing for walleyes and fishing in local walleye tournaments, but then in his mid 20's, he caught the BASS BUG and has been hooked every since. He competed at the highest level in bass fishing on the Bassmaster Elite Series for a number of years. He is a fishing guide offering trips on the Chesapeake Bay for largemouth bass(year round), guided trips for smallmouth back in Wisconsin (during select times) and trophy smallmouth bass guided trips in Upstate New York (May-November) His RUclips Channel is named after his passion for the smallmouth bass and will be used as a platform for "how-to" videos, on the water instruction, crazy on and off the water topics and vlogs on the day in the life of a fishing addict!
Hope you enjoy!

Who here has used the Zman TRD CrawZ?
I tried them briefly on one trip last year when they first came out, and haven't gone back to them. I didn't really give them enough time in the water, and think I'll give them another shot this year. I tend to default to the TRD when I'm looking for a finesse bottom bait, because that's a known confidence bait for me.
SmallmouthCrush
I wanted to. But don’t know how they compare to the Strike King Rage Craw. So I stuck to the rage craw instead.
@@Unspoke they're completely different from Rage Craws in size and purpose. I could understand how someone could think they were comparable if you haven't seen them. They're tiny compared to a Rage Craw. I was surprised how small they are. They also don't have appendages designed to move a lot of water like a Rage Craw. I use a Rage Craw as a full-size jig trailer in dirty water or for fish that are actively feeding. The Z-man TRD Crawz are something I'd use in clear water when the bite is slow.
@@Unspoke Dan is right there are totally different plastics and styles of crawfish imitator. Each one has its time though.
Caught 4.5 pounder last weekend
I just picked up several of those trd craws can't wait to start using them!
I don't get to fish smallmouth much, but have caught largemouth up to 5 lbs on these little crawz. Canada craw color my favorite.
Zman is tough to beat. Good review, I have caught some good fish on the TRD Crawz.
Awesome good to hear! This is a great little bait for finesse approach!
Great video Travis. Future review topics, would really like to hear your thoughts on the lines, and which lines you prefer for the type of fishing you do. Really looking forward to future reviews.
certainly will be talking about line!
I love the tackle review keep it up Travis from Ohio
Z man best bait out there I have caught more small and large mouth bass on them than any thing else in my tackle box
They are great! I like the fact that they are so durable
Thnx bro much appreciated.
TX for the info, just in time for the big spring order.
Right on! I just got my order in recently!
I like the idea of this series! Maybe in the future include some close ups of the bait and maybe even show the bait in your fish tank. These baits do rock. I got to play around a little with them last fall before winter and I was not disappointed.
For sure! Thanks River Rat
Love the idea
Looking forward to it! My plan is to do 1 weekly review, 1 RUclips Live and 2 regular videos every week.....time to step it up!
@@SmallmouthCrush ill be keeping my eyes open
Cant go wrong with zman. Should have dunked it in the test tank I know you have there. Haha
I have a few times!
Looking forward to this series Travis, keep up the grind man! 11k will become 30-50k in no time just keep pumping out the good content and live streams!
Thank you! We are getting there!
I have caught a lot this season on trd crawz with the finesse bulletz. It does great in highly pressured areas.
Yes it does! Cant wait to try it again this year
Good video
Thanks broheim!
I love these for ned rigs, try the Yamamoto psycho dad if you want a bigger version.
Really looking forward to your thoughts on the Curado K (even though I own a bunch).
So far they are great....sitting in my garage! Cant wait to try them out
Question. I normally only have one rod with me while fishing. It takes me over 5 minutes on average to retie new lure between casts on changing. So I generally just use one or two lures per hour of fishing if i'm not getting bit off. How long should I fish without a strike before re-tying or moving to the next spot?
Great video! Love the tackle tip videos! I’ve been throwing Zman for a few years now and they are probably the most productive brand I’ve seen. Looking forward to the next one!
Great, thanks Andrew
The TRD is deadly. It has a lot of buoyancy which floats it off the bottom. Travis is right about keeping the baits in original packaging. The material is tough but it melts on super hot sunny days. Should be noted to not leave these on your boat carpet. I had to replace an entire section on my boat because a couple TRDs melted.
Did not know that.....good to know though!
Those work great on the little kietech jigs along with the biwaa's. Ever try your favorite bait for drop shotting on a ned?
I like the idea on the back of a kietech.....I have ned with my favorite drop shot bait for sure
@@SmallmouthCrush I cleaned up last year on it. The bigger size great for largies on the jt Nichols ned head.
Figured I'd pay it forward those things are great you can't even knock them over
Thanks for the video. I will definitely add this to my Lake Champlain tackle. Love the Ned Rig. What is your favorite fluorocarbon line choice? I've used Seaguar InvizX but just wondering what you like. Thanks!
You will have to wait for my Tackle Crush Tuesday on the 19th to find out! Just kidding although that is the next video to go out in this series....Gamma Touch is some great line
Thanks, I'll be sure to watch next weeks show!!! Cant wait!!
Great short review. I did use the craws this season on a drop shot more horizontal dragging than vertical presentation. Stuck a couple of smallmouth and a lot of rock bass.
Try them on a shakey head or that finesse bulletz this season!
Great video Travis. I did the same thing you did took them out of their bags and put them in a plano and what a cluster I had
Oh yes....lesson learned I guess!
Can’t wait to see more of Epic Eric’s tackle.
Spring Crank Baits will be released with Eric and myself around March 22nd!
Will you be at the Classic?
I know we all like the zman products... you seemed a little out of sorts on this one... Still like the info, Those crawls looke good. Keep it up.
I agree with Bill and in to take it a step further this video seems like a direct promotional video.. I like it but still I never really had that notion with your other videos just saying it's a bit strange.
@@mattnash5159 Well guys I certainly didn't feel off...so not sure what that is all about. This will be my style moving forward on the Tackle Review Tuesdays so remember it is a review so if you feel like it was a commercial it just means I like the product. If I like the products I am going to be encouraging people to get them. If I don't like the product I am going to say so.
@@SmallmouthCrush Thats what I like about you... you say what you think...
@@SmallmouthCrush ok good to know. Like i said that was the first video i ever had the notion. I was wrong and thats that. Love all your videos man keep em coming👌
even though its not always right!!
Neko rig they really shine to,Smallies crush them
Coming to Knoxville this weekend?
Sure am! Ill be talking about the Classic on this Channel Live tomorrow at 8PM Eastern
@@SmallmouthCrush right on
SMC=SmallMouth Crush. Hehe
Love the Zman stuff! !
I love it...but it is sort of like Scott Martin's Challenge :( SMC
@@SmallmouthCrush that's why it's kinda funny AND I dk how it works but if you tagged your vids with that you may get a few that accidentally find you. Once they do, bet they continue watching CRUSH!
I’m expecting some today in my tackle warehouse shipment. UPS needs to get here already.
I hear that!
Strike King and Zman elaztech baits aren't as durable or as buoyant as the cyberflex baits made in the early 2000's. I bought some SK and Zman stickbaits just to compare them to the cyberflex baits. I wacky rigged both brands and each came off the hook on the very first cast. Cyberflex baits weren't that popular. They were only on the market for 4-5 years. From 2005-06 I went to every tackle store and wally world in my area and bought hundreds of packages of Terminator and Strike King cyberflex baits. They were sellings them for 25¢- $1.00 per pack. Those baits are so durable I've only used about 10 packs in the last 15 years.
Travis, do you ever use spybaits? id really like to see an in depth video on those.
I do, I will be up on the St Lawrence in May would like to get some on the water videos with that bait!
Them things are killer.. try using the bulletz on just a regular trd.. comes threw cover great and flat gets bit
Great Idea, thanks for the tip!
Why is zman the only one to use this awesome plastic?
There is some plastics companies that have the same type of material or should I say same float availability and elastic type out there.
What are those brands? Please, I've forwarded your channel to all my fishing buddies
@@henrygarrison1613 Look up Strike King 3X plastics you might find something in there line up
