They were CHOMPING the Z-Man TRD BugZ!

  • Z-Man recently launched the TRD BugZ which is a small creature bait designed to work well on numerous rigs. Obviously, as a TRD bait, this will excel on the Ned Rig but I am also excited to use it as a jig trailer and on the back of a Finesse BulletZ jig.
    In this video, I tested out the TRD BugZ on all three of these rigs and I was incredibly impressed with it. After getting rained on, I found a population of aggressive fall bass and was able to catch a lot of fish. On this particular day, they positioned on shallow wind-blown vegetation. They were eating my Ned Rig incredibly weird but I was able to put several in the kayak throughout the trip.

      Ain’t that the truth! Super thankful they chose to lead the industry with this rig. Now the copy cats come out after Z-Man showed how productive it is 🤠🤣

    Trd bugz works great on the VMC swinging Ned head

    You went with that wind, pushing bait into the shallows and then you started getting into them real good Ethan. Way to adjust your game plan. I like these little TRD Bugz. They look like they'd work great in a smallie river or creek also. I'm going to try and get out on the kayak in next couple of days to fish but the weather is looking cold, windy and wet. But you gave me inspiration to get out there and brave it. Well done my friend 😊

      Go get them Fitzy, the fish are waiting for you 🤠 it’s not quite as easy to stay motivated during this cold weather but there are fish to be caught!!

    With the right reel and line and rod you can almost read braile underwater.
    Rain in my experience is great for fishing. They tend to move up to the shallows. I personally think they do that because the rain is loud and spooks larvae and other small aquatic animals and forces them down more towards the bottom and limits their escape routes. This puts them in a pinch point and bass take ultra advantage of that.
    when stuff floods they move into that flooded area and eat all types of bugs and animals they dont have huge access to normally. When flooding occurs that's when you can get the biggest bass of your life.

      For sure, I’m a Finesse TRD guy through and through! These will be nice on rigs other than the Ned which is why they should be a great addition to the box. Super pumped about them as a finesse jig trailer!

    Love the bulletz. I use them with the Fattyz. Tail sticks up nice. Caught 24 largemouth a few weeks ago and when my wife and I went out on Saturday this weekend the largemouth wouldn't hit on anything until we threw the FattyZ on. Caught 7 after that. Haven't had luck with the bulletz on the TRD but thought it might be because the bait doesn't stand up off the bottom as well as with the finesse mushroom jig.

      @@FishAnything they are one of my favorite finesse jigs for spinning rods. They are very compact and coke without the weed guard installed. That way you can fish them without them of just superglue them in place. They also come in a pack of two and have great colors!

    Great video, really like the Z-Mann stuff. However the NED has let me down this year; the past 2 years I caught fish on them almost every time out, this year only 3 or 4 fish total. So it goes, I'll still try these.

    • @FishAnything
      @FishAnything  4 года назад +1

      The BulletZ is definitely more weedless but it has a different action. I am not super into it personally but I know a lot of folks are. If you are fishing that heavy wooded areas, you should definitely give it a shot though.
