I'd like to correct something. That frame is not a felt frame, just a nirve frame. I thought they were also called that, so, oops. Oh well. They do look like steel felt frames regardless, pretty similar style.

Congratulations on the New Bike and build! I really like the bike You picked up! I want to get a steel frame bike like that one myself. Your builds are always really awesome! You keep getting better and better with every build. You might want to try some Tank sealer for your tank. I have to coat 2 of mine last week with tank sealer. It takes a while to do but well worth it! 💯 Just make sure all your welding is done before you seal the tank. It fixed all the pin holes no problem. I am using a 1 gallon 4 oz.tanks and I made all new brackets for it that fit the frame perfect and bolt on very easy. End of tank issues. Is that Your Athena Motor You have in this bike? 👍 That's exactly what I did to my new tank before mounting....Sanded the paint around the 4 studs and reinforced them with JB weld...Used 2 coats & smeared it up on the threads a ways....The more the better as long as it doesn't interfere with mounting the tank.... No problems since 2020.... I also bought a plastic shut off valve from hardware store in lawn & garden section & I use it instead of wearing out the stock petcock tank valve.

This is very similar to what I want to build....A strong reinforced motorized bicycle that can SAFELY cruise at 45-55mph using moped or motorcycle tires...But that looks like a regular slow motorized bicycle....I'd also like to use a 750w front ebike hub motor for a hybrid. So I can switch to 100% legal fwd ebike in certain areas....That way I could cruise 45-55mph on the back roads 15 miles to my closet town of 30,000. Without it having to be an all day ride....I'm not sure how much chain drag or hub drag I'd have when using either gas or electric, is one issue to consider. A 2 stroke in N would have lots of chain drag. I'm pretty sure they have hub drive motors. That don't create drag when pedaling only.

You can get the same cylinder kit but without gaskets (make your own with $7 gasket paper on amazon) for $50 on californiamotorbikes.
However, a complete engine kit, for $190 on gorillagasbikes, that doesn't seem like a bad deal. Comes with a carb. But not pipe as far as I can see. They are plenty powerful and can easily turn like 10k or so rpm. So I don't see why not. Never heard of the site tho

You should def stick to those back roads bud where it’s open and no cars and no bike lane where you are just in the lane of traffic but no cars. It hurts like hell falling at 50, I can only imagine how much it hurts at 70. Stay safe bud but I don’t think that’s your motive lol.

@Flexpecs all engines have a powerband. 2 strokes have a peaky powerband where when you hit it at a certain rpm it takes off fast and make peak power, because of resonance in the pipe (look it up). 4 strokes just have a pretty flat powerband

It to much centrifugal force to move the jackshaft and all with one of these motors . It’s easier to do what he’s doin with a small gear. You get more speed with this setup then a shack shaft cause so much power get eaten up by the gears.
