Lucky! Trappers Lake might be the best kept secret in Colorado camping. Check out our video of Cutthroat Campground for more details on things to do in the area.
Always improving. Our old videos were pretty bad. We remade most of the first 10 and hid them forever. I prefer to have cell coverage at least where we spend the night but this was awesome to be without it for a week.
Another great video! I know it is not really feasible for every campground you visit, but I really like the walking tour of individual sites. Nice job... Almost caught up with all your current videos, and looking forward to many more!
It was great having 5 campgrounds in walking distance of our campsite. I was able to go around every day and record any sites that were vacated that morning that we hadn't recorded yet. I'm hoping to get ahead with editing soon and release 2 videos a week during May. Plenty more coming...
Great video! Lots of information. Knowing where you can find cell reception is very important. I also like to know the road conditions and what hikes are near by. Need to go here next year! Site 7 looks sweet. Thanks again!
I visited the campground a couple of times that week before site 7 & 8 were empty. 7 was the best. Taking the road thru Yampa keeps you out of Glenwood Canyon but it is an hour of dirt roads where the Meeker route is 30 minutes of smoother dirt roads. I'm not sure which route I'd take if I was towing a camper. You definitely need to go next summer.
Campground Recon Hopefuly next year Glenwood Canyon route is an option. We switched plans for our next trip first week in Oct from Redstone to Spillway campground. I remember you recommended that one.
Thanks for making such great resources and reminding me of all the places I have yet to visit. Glad you were able to get out this year, been a real bust for me.
So many places to see and not enough time. We were lucky enough to make it out for a couple of week-long trips this summer. At the beginning of June, I didn't think it would be possible this year. Next year should be better.
I'd go with 2 or 16. You could set up extra tents in the parking area. Depending on how many vehicles you have, that might be an option in some of the smaller sites too.
Great videos! How are the mosquitoes in July in the area? I’ve seen some hikers say that on the hike around Trappers lake they were bad. With the small lakes right by this campsite I’m wondering if it’s the same. Thank you!
Yes. Shepherds Rim has a couple of sites that would work well. #2 & #16. Some of the neighboring campgrounds have large spaces but don't accept reservations.

Site 7 was beautiful. Thanks for the walk around. Know it’s not always possible.
Thanks for producing this video it gives me a little more insight into the Flate Tops mountains.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks! We have reservations for site 15 and was glad to find this video.

This is so helpful! Thank you! Just booked site 7 for the weekend!
Awesome! Glad we could help!
Your videos are so good! Love that you provide cell phone reception... that’s key to my work since I’m on call 24/7. Thank you!

Campground Recon I’ll probably have to remake some of mine too!

Thanks for your awesome videos! Im looking to book a spot here for Labor Day. Any advice on which sites would be best for multiple tents?

They are bad at times. We bought a Thermacell that fits on a fuel tank for a backpacking stove. Worth the price. Definitely helped
Beautiful area.eould a 30 ft fifth wheel fit?
