It's ethereal. Not as tremendous as the Goldsmith theme but very nice to listen to.
I shed at least one tear every time I hear this music through headphones. There is so much nuance and a perfect blend of tones. It’s enough to make someone believe that humans have explored the galaxy in starships.

Just started watching Voyager. The pilot episode is a strong start and the title music is an instant favorite!
A few flat/missed notes, but overall very well done! I'm sad they didn't do the little sound that the asteroid cloud around the ringed planet makes when the camera pans up through them.
Great job, folks! :-) My nitpicky ears notice at 1:19 the trumpet plays a D where the TV show plays B. The D is arguably just as good, if not a better choice, as it gives the climbing melody more balance.

This is my favorite Star Trek theme song of all of the shows and films.
Hearing the intro so many times, it's fantastical listening to it being composed live!
I've always wondered how can musicians not get emotional when they play this one live? I would cry like a calf.
They don't experience the live performance the same way that the audience does. They spend many hours rehearsing even a short piece ike this one. And even when they get to performing live, their eyes are on the lead sheets and also on the conductor while they're listening to everyone else and waiting for their cues. While mastering any instrument the most important thing one learns is control. You can play with emotion but you remain in control of what and how you're playing. To do that you need to be focused. They enjoy the music in a different way.

In my humble opinion, outside of CPT Kirk, CPT Janeway (actor) is best to play as a Star Ship CPT.

I came across this video a few days ago and have spent some time since listening to their videos. This, specifically combined with their full play though of “The fellowship of the Ring” has inspired me to the point where I have booked a ticket to see their show in Prague. I’m excited!

what an amazingly fun peice to play. you can see the smiles beaming on many of the orchestras faces. i feel for that horn player, just wasnt his day. he probably got too caught up in the moment and went too hard 😂

My favorite of all the star trek themes. I immediately think of an old sailing ship coming into her home port out of a thick fog bank. (I'm a Navy Veteran, so go figure!)

I am amazed how much weight human bones can support.
A little more practice and they'll get it perfect... Cuz there were several places where they had issues
1:45 min i searching a Version of the Voyager Theme with alternate ending. It could be that the end was played exactly at 1:46 minutes and there is an interruption or a cut like something would have been cut together
Really amazing.... except for that one person
Goldsmith was a genius, and this little gem is one of his most beautiful pieces. Those who are knocking this performance need to remember the fundamentals of musical expression. It can be performed exactly as originally written. Or, it can be expressed with variances. Just because they didn't play every note exactly as the composer originally recorded it doesn't mean that they made mistakes or that their version is bad.
