Have a friend that plays sound track for movies in Los Angeles. Obe, is such a sad instrument to listen to. Reminds one of the sadness that was experienced. Pltmedic vn
My pop personally requested this to be played at his funeral after watching the pacific. He was a veteran of the pacific. Although he was not American, which is what The Pacific Show is about, he did fight the Japanese in Burma and India (he was British like myself)and he often would recall during our watch of the Pacific that the hardships were very similar in that theatre of the war. Hans Zimmer touched the heart of my grandfather late in his life because of the Pacific so much he personally amended his own will to have this song played during his cremation. It moves me because it moved him, I do believe the first time he heard it at the start of episode 1 he shed a few tears. Gone but never, ever, forgotten. All the veterans who fought that terrible war for our freedoms. I salute you 🫡
Your grandfather and that entire generation who suffered thru the great depression only to face the incredible hardships they faced in the Pacific. Your grandfather is a true hero.
@@iampad545 he was my grandfather. In Britain some folk refer to their grandfather as “pops”. Well I did anyway. Regardless, it’s nice of you to say such kind words. “ in the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.” 🫡
From an American veteran to you... directly.... He isn't forgotten. never will be. For so long as you speak their names, they will be alive in you. Keep that close. 9th Infantry Division 7th Special Forces Group US Army.
This is one of the most beautiful themes ever. I was in my kitchen while someone else in my house was watching The Pacific on DVDs, and I had to go into the living room when this theme started playing because the music drew me there and into the show.
Whenever I hear this, I think of one of my mothers uncles laying wounded on a beach on the island of Tarawa. All these men laid down their lives on the altar of freedom so others made breathe free.
I have never been in an army, but each time I listen to this masterpiece, I feel like I was one of those brave men fighting side by side and made stories to share after war.
"He who saves a man, saves the world entire." - One humble Rabbi To all who work hard, risk their lives, go out of their comfort zone to fight for peace, thank you. Our thoughts are with you.
A beautiful and outstanding theme song for a TV show. The Band of Brothers main theme is still awesome too, but this one is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Great work to everyone who made the song and show. Also a special thanks to ALL veterans who served back then and who still fight for all of us today. Thank you.
I was in awe and moved with this masterpiece! I’m no musician at all, I just like music overall and my mind was so blown and puzzled how did they come up or compose with such a music piece like this? If I were the composer I’d be so proud! THIS MUSIC SO GLORIOUS!
I love this Band of Brothers and The Pacific is my favourite ww2 miniseries also the pacific was filmed in Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 where I live this was a great performance. ❤❤
This might sound odd, but whenever I hear an orchestra, it seems like the gravity of all the time these people spent perfecting their craft punches me right in my soul all at once. Orchestral music moves me like no other. Beautifully done!!
Beautiful! Just beautiful ❤️I’ve been to Prague and it is so beautiful. My late husband, Joe, took me there and we had an awesome time. The people were so nice and friendly ❤️
This music brought tears to my eyes when I thought of how great our country once was. Only to have now succumbed to moral and spiritual decay. We are ripe for the picking of our enemies. May the Lord continue to extend us His mercy and protection.
I wholeheartedly refuse to bow down to any deity but will humbly salute and bow my head to all who have fought and gave their lives for our freedom. Freedom that we today so easily take for granted, and sadly forget that many paid the ultimate price for it, so we can speak freely without having to fear being prosecuted, detained or executed for it. "When you go home, tell them of us and say For their tomorrow, we gave our today". John Maxwell Edmonds
My late father was in the Pacific in the Navy during WW2 as Chief Electricians Mate aboard a destroyer. He'd be 101 yrs old this month. My late father in law was also in the Pacific as a black Army officer. He didnt care that I was white. His only condition was that I love and take care of his youngest daughter. I miss both my Dad's. RIP to both Men and the now passing Greatest Generation.
It's sad that the youth of today don't understand what our greatest generation sacrificed for us. Maybe they don't even care. We have become a selfish nation and are very ungrateful.
Not only Usa my brother , but entire world , In Greece my homeland , youth does not even know where ww2 happened and against who Greeks fought...(Not all youth but a great percent)
Don’t worry. The youth of this country snd the world are too busy with their comforts. A depression, a war, public events that intimately affect their lives will get them to fully understand the heroics of the past. It’s alll in the time.
Beautifl indeed......so soulful...touches you deep to the core...l can listen to it over and over again......and l appreciate with all my being the sacrifices of llives that were given so that we are able to enjoy today......No one knows and feel the deep pain of loss except the families where those heroes came from...The mums and dads, the grandparents, the wife, the husbands, the sisters, the brothers, the fiances, the communities....Thank you for the brave men and women that came from your families.....Its just history for some but it is memories of bravery for you......May Our Sovereign God Jehovah continue to Bless your families, May He continue to keep you, May He continue to shine His Face upon you and guve you peace.. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🫶🫶🫶

Absolutely beautiful! ❤ I have a question though, and it's probably a dumb one but idk much about orchestra music, if the musicians have the sheet music in front of them, why do they need a composure in front of them?
Do you mean conductor? It’s for the synchronization - same tempo, same tempo changes, dynamics, endings, etc. Main work for conductor is on rehearsals, but you have a group of people and you need one leader who leads and shows you - now! 😎😉
Everytime I play this song it reminds me of the galantly and how brave the Filipino soldiers and American soldiers who fought side by side in world war 2 in the Pacific region specially in the Philippines during japanesse occupation ' it's such a wonderful piece that is the pacific theme , yeah I love it

Music lovers like us would do something like that. No one else around me is like that, though, how sad.
me too
Remember the Fallen ❤
Remember ALL of the fallen. Some men were quickly forgotten because of who they were.
It sounds like Plaisir d'amour....and La golondrina
To all the soldiers who have served and continue to serve their country
“Strenght and Honor”
Hans Zimmer doesn’t disappoint
I was today years old when I learnt that this was HZ. It sounds too James Horner-y. He should play it on his live tours.
Yes❤
Whenever I hear this, I think of one of my mothers uncles laying wounded on a beach on the island of Tarawa.
All these men laid down their lives on the altar of freedom so others made breathe free.
For all those who gave their todays, for our tomorrows. This is it. With love and respect from 🇮🇳.
3 tours in Vietnam, 14 weeks in VA hospital. Lost friends there. I’m choked up hearing this music. Man, can I feel it to the core.
Thank you for your service to this grear country, the United States of America.
You’re my hero man. It was the most grueling hell, but you had balls of steel. And for what you did, you’re my hero
I have never been in an army, but each time I listen to this masterpiece, I feel like I was one of those brave men fighting side by side and made stories to share after war.

Incredibly done. Pulls at the heart strings. A huge thank you to ALL veterans.
Id have goosebumos and crying if I were there
I never Skip this beautiful music during a rewatch of The Pacific

""What a fine beauty. Thank you all so much." "" Let us learn from history let us never repeat it.....! 🙏✝️
This magnificent music makes me cry because it is so beautiful !
I lose it every time I hear this music...it almost tears my heart out....amazing
I don't know but listening to this music touches my soul and now I am crying for no reason.😢
Muy triste melodía 😢
Very true. It also made me think about life. Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy to each one of us.

The US is still a great country, regardless of what some people tell you.
Memorable theme, always on my heart.

Makes me cry
Such a poignant piece of music reflecting the traumatic environment these brave boys found themselves in - Beautiful

Wow!!!
Absolutely incredible, The Pacific is the best thing I’ve ever watched along with Band of Brothers
What a beautiful score! Just sublime.
Very..very...goooood
It's sad that the youth of today don't understand what our greatest generation sacrificed for us. Maybe they don't even care. We have become a selfish nation and are very ungrateful.
We must teach them through education otherwise the wars will be repeated; every generation will go through something because of ignorance...
Not only Usa my brother , but entire world , In Greece my homeland , youth does not even know where ww2 happened and against who Greeks fought...(Not all youth but a great percent)
Because some youths think that WW2 is basically imperialism used to defeat imperialism (a horrible one)
Or some simply simp for Axis Powers
The youth today is too busy wondering if they should change their genders to care about ww2. It's amazing if they know anything about ww2 at all.
Don’t worry. The youth of this country snd the world are too busy with their comforts. A depression, a war, public events that intimately affect their lives will get them to fully understand the heroics of the past. It’s alll in the time.
Bravo! Bravissimo!!!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Incredible! So many emotions
wonderful and so moving.
One of the best!!!
I love this piece of music, it is so emotional.

""This thee first that come me to me heart. ❤️

Merinding dengar alunan musiknya.

This is very nice orchestra I've ever seen!
Song name: Honor (from The Pacific)
Honor y gloria a los caídos en esas desgarradoras batallas
Very Good! Well Done!
Thank you very much!
Thank you (US Coast Guard veteran)
There is a Coast Guardsman alive in Slidell, La who was a Coxswain on Higgins Boats in the Battles of Tarawa and Guadalcanal 🫡
Feels like US and Japan striking in my mind when I hear this masterpiece. I love The Pacific.

Nice!!
This music is as devastating and saving as the ammunition and the war. Both the music and the war weights the same.
❤
Espetáculo !
This is lovely but without a brass section you really cannot do justice to this beautiful piece.
🫡 for all Army Veterans.
They still find the graves of Marines buried on Tarawa yet today.

Hearing this melody reminds me of the soldiers who died on the battlefield in Ukraine, and I pray for them. 😒😪
Je trouve qu'il y a quelque chose de Vangelis dans l'orchestration, le rythme, la mélodie.

This music isn't so emotional.. ❤❤❤
It’s much better when played with Brass Instruments.
One of the cellos are too loud and a bit off tune. My musical ear couldn't bare it. Otherwise very nice.
