Harold Faltermeyer wrote this, for the original Top Gun in 1986. Zimmer adapted it for Top Gun: Maverick. Zimmer composed the rest of the score for the film, but this piece (Top Gun Anthem) is Faltermeyer's music.
Yeah but unfortunately the name Faltermeyer doesn't sell so they just paste HANS ZIMMER on everything. Same thing happened with the first Pirates movie soundtrack. Klaus Badelt wrote the theme, Zimmer gets all the credit.
For pirates Hans Zimmer wrote all the music for the movie and handed that rough sketch to Klaus to polish it and record it with real instruments, Zimmer was legally not allowed to work on another movie but he loved pirates after he was asked by the director to have a look at it because the director wasn't happy with the score. If you dig the Internet deep enough you can find that initial sketch that Hans did experimenting with different sounds and melodies for pirates.

Guthrie is on Tour with Hans Zimmer since like 2016 at this point. they played their last concert together for this year on the 9th of june because Guthrie is going on Tour with his own band this year.

When they're taking off it makes me feel so damn proud of the pilots, etc. for protecting the US. Like a of people, I had family members in the military. My paternal granfather was in WW1, his 2 older sons in the Army Air Corps in WW2. One was a ball turret gunner who flew over 30 missions. He had problems when he came home. My father was USMC in Korea. He had a cousin shot down by the Luftwaffe over France. He was KIA and is buried in France. I didn't mean to go on. 🙂 🇺🇸

On March 3, 1969 the United States Navy established an elite school for the top one percent of its pilots. Its purpose was to teach the lost art of aerial combat and to insure that the handful of men who graduated were the best fighter pilots in the world. They succeeded. Well, Hans Zimmer for sure is the most hottest and most wanted film composer currently out there. But I would still say that the John Williams is the greatest film composer. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, ET, Harry Potter, Schindler's list etc... But funnily enough, neither of them (Hans or John) are not even necessary the richest film score composers. They are constantly in the top 10 but it depends what list you are looking at. There is also Ennio Morricone (all the famous westerns), Danny Elfman (Tim Burton stuff and Spider-Man) and Alan Silvestri (The Avengers) popping up regularly.

I've been a firefighter for the last 10 years all I've ever wanted to do was be a firefighter Hans Zimmer wrote the entire soundtrack every firefighter favorite movie that was born before the year 2000. BACKDRAFT!!!!!!!!!! So i just KNEW this was gonna be amazing.

Well, Hans Zimmer for sure is the most hottest and most wanted film composer currently out there. But I would still say that the John Williams is the greatest film composer. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, ET, Harry Potter, Schindler's list etc... But funnily enough, neither of them (Hans or John) are not even necessary the richest film score composers. They are constantly in the top 10 but it depends what list you are looking at. There is also Ennio Morricone (all the famous westerns), Danny Elfman (Tim Burton stuff and Spider-Man) and Alan Silvestri (The Avengers) popping up regularly.
