Fun fact: Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse was originally going to be even MORE violent as it was pitched and had a prototype as a parody of Left 4 Dead where everyone was turned into zombies and Brian and Stewie were the only ones left with the same shooter gameplay style as the final game, but Seth MacFarlane saw this and didn't like it so he forced the devs to tone down the violence and change the plot to the Multiverse storyline.
I really like the multiverse thing, it just could've been handled far better. Imagine if the two were combined and you went across dimensions fighting Bertram's army of robots or something, with each dimension being smart and funny instead of just offensive. A 3D platformer would've worked best, but you can definitely make a good shooter out of Family Guy if you know what you're doing. Edit: I just looked it up. Brian and Stewie were playable, but so were Peter, Lois, Joe, Quagmire, and Adam West. It was gonna be called Road to Death.
Damn, I haven't thought of Sitting Ducks in 20 years. It was weird. The Reboot game has a cheat that lets you fly up that makes it actually playable. That's all I remember about the game.

I remember getting super excited because you could freely run around the city, but then I somehow got lost and couldn't find the place I needed to go in order to advance the "story" and ended up having to take the game back because my rental was up

Woah... woah... sitting ducks. I've spent around 10 years trying to remember what that show was called, I had bits of this show in the back of my mind for years and I thought I just imagined it.
It was one of those shows that was shown in the mornings on like, UPN or the WB back in the day. There were too many of those kind of shows to mention and they all kind of become a blur in your mind. But it's weird how we'll completely forget about something for decades and then see a video and it will come up and it'll be like whoa, I remember this.

You're right though I do believe Cartoon Network played sitting ducks at some point or another in the early 2000s. (I didn't have any kind of television beyond the internet between 2006-2015 so that's just my best guess)
We still do, it's just not as frequent and they're not as amazingly terrible. A Ben 10 game was announced not that long ago and if it's anything like the 2017 game it'll be a beautifully boring slog. Not to mention a new Paw Patrol game, Bakugan, Transformers, Nickelodeon Kart Racers, and can't forget motherfucking Shaun the Sheep.
I recommend the channel Cartoon Review, it's reviews of these kinds of games from cartoon network. I don't always agree with the reviews but it's still fun to see from a safe distance..!
These games are still everywhere they are just lost in online stores, they only give physical releases to this shit when they are due out at Xmas nowadays, apart from the occasional big Disney or dreamworks movies, they also jumped on the vr bandwagon for a bit, now those licensed games are the worst.
Hit & Run is definitely the much better game. The car handling was fun & satisfying and the missions were a lot more interesting even if they did reuse the same objective formulas. Loved Hit & Run for being a fun sandbox & driving game as kid and hated Sitting Ducks at the same time for its overall frustrating/bad design.
I did not know I was gonna find out that the Disney Afternoon Collection got its name from a television block of the 90s in this video, but I'll take it! Also Talespin was pretty good. I liked how Sheer Khan wasn't the direct antagonist in that show, just the ominous CEO.

One of the main reasons why a show kinda based on The Jungle Book was chosen was that at the time it was in development, Jungle Book was the 4th highest grossing DIsney movie at the time. I never even knew there was a NES game made for it until the collection came out, even thou I had Ducktales and Chip and Dale.
That is what we call the great "nostalgia epiphany". This is just like how there were certain games we loved as a kid and we go back now and we realized they're awful.

I owned not one, not two but THREE of these games as a kid. Talespin (which I never watched so no idea why my parents bought it for me), Beast Wars and Reboot (both of which I was/am a huge fan of). I’m glad you confirmed the unplayability and difficulty of them, since I was worried it was just me when I could barely beat the first level in any of them. I sold them all a while ago but probably should’ve held on to at least the two PS1 games. I definitely spent hours of my youth in the first and second levels of Beast Wars and Reboot though. Those giant slugs in Reboot still terrify me.

My brother had the Reboot game, and he beat it several times. I tried playing it once. I do not understand how he was able to beat it, even once. There's really no accurate way to describe how awful the controls are-- though tank controls on ice is pretty close-- it's something you gotta experience yourself.

For years I thought Beast Wars was actually a part of the Transformer series. I thought it was sooo damn cool, those robot animals fighting, evolving, and the graphics were amazing! I wish they would remake the series with nice graphics. I'd be all over that.
