      I think the SpongeBob SquarePants episode Just One Bite was controversial because in the original October 2001 Nickelodeon airing, there was a scene when Squidward breaks in to The Krusty Krab. At the entrance, Squidward saw a bucket thought it supposed to be a burgler alarm, however it was a bucket of gas and a light match randomly appeared causing him to blow up. When he went to the kitchen for the patty vault, there was another bucket full of gas and Squidward blows up again. Sadly, that scene was permanently removed from future TV airings likely due to the infamous terrorist attacks of September 11th of that year.

    controversy doesnt bother me, in reality what bothers me is how it bothered so many people. for example "One Beer", they were trying to send a good message there, but the outrage was so loud, they had to remove it. sheesh, it's a good thing Roseanne did a good episode on alcohol, so at least kids can learn somewhere.

    • @270MOX
      @270MOX 3 года назад +3

      Well, Looney Tunes is a franchise that focuses a lot in children, so mixing that with things like alcohol, drugs, or even worse things could not only scare children, but confuse them too. It also depends on HOW you send the message if your episode will include a life lesson. It's like showing you that killing is bad when one of the characters actually gets killed in the episode

By the time of release he was actually pretty unwell and although he wanted to keep going his family took it unto themselves to have him retire so he could spend the rest of his life as comfortable as possible. It amazes me anyone would complain about a certain episode of South park, If you don't like offensive cartoons why are you watching, South park, know what I mean? Not personally, I'm a fan of the show, but I can understand why someone would be offended by the show itself, but to complain about one episode cos it was antisemitic means you're ok with anti-catholicism, anti-scientology etc etc

He suffered a major heart attack and couldn't voice act any longer, and was convinced by his son to depart from the show because of his newly acquitted limitations. There are recently 2 Spongebob episodes that have been banned. One is from the golden age of the show. A season 3 episode called “Mid-Life Crustacean” shows Mr. Krabs feeling down in the dumps because he’s thought of as old by not only his daughter Pearl but the other citizens of Bikini Bottom. At the Krusty Krab he overhears Soongebob and Patrick taking about their big night on the town. He asks if he can be included and they agree. What ensues is one of the lamest nights known to man. Mr. Krabs calls them out for not being cool and Patrick livens up the evening by saying they were planning on participating in a panty raid. This significantly cheers Mr. Krabs up and he’s feeling like his old self again until he realizes the panty raid is taking place at his mother’s house. She catches him and grounds him for the rest of the night. I personally have always loved this episode but once the show was added to Paramount+ it was decided that this episode should not be included because of the panty raid scene. Also Nickelodeon has decided to never air this episode again on cable. The scene is pretty innocuous even by today’s standards (episode aired originally just about 20 years ago) so I was surprised its been banned.
    The other episode that has been banned and has actually never seen the light of day is a more recent episode slated to come out some time last year called “Kwarantined Krabs.” I don’t know much about the episode other than that a virus spreads around the Krusty Krab and everyone associated has to be quarantined until it passes. This episode was banned for obvious reasons due to the COVID pandemic and for people potentially thinking this episode would make light of a serious situation. However, the show’s production team said they had the idea for this episode well before the pandemic hit and it was just a case of poor timing with its release. Who knows if this episode will ever air in any form.
    There was also one additional episode of Family Guy to mention. It’s the infamous episode where Lois gets an abortion. I believe in this episode Lois becomes a surrogate for friends who can’t have a baby on their own. Later down the road the wife does become pregnant and Lois’ services are no longer needed. She then has the agonizing decision of whether to continue the pregnancy or have an abortion. I remember this episode was supposed to air for either the 7th or 8th season in like 2009. There was a lot of controversy surrounding this episode particularly because it would have aired on Fox and we all know their stance on abortion. As far as I know, unlike with “When You Wish Upon a Weinstein” which ultimately aired years later on Adult Swim, this other episode has never aired on tv in any form. I do believe it was included on the DVD box set from the season it was slated for. At the time it was the only way to see this episode. I’m sure of you look hard enough you can find it online somewhere these days.
