    Finally...someone who actually knows what they are talking about and has the body of work to prove it! Thank you for this...if Nikon poops the bed on the D6, this will be my next and final DSLR body.
    *UPDATE* Nikon has indeed pooped the bed on the D6 as we all know...I have already turned in my entire Nikon kit (D4S and 5 lenses) for store credit and awaiting my 1DXIII...

      Nikon's been shitting the bed when they launched the DF, D7500, D780 and D6 also the Z line in my opinion.

    hi Peter! how many shoots do you take with a camera before to replace it/or replace the shutter? my d5 shutter count is around 270k: it’s time to replace the shutter? there are many pro out there with d4, probably they took over 1M of pictures but I don’t know

    Interested in knowing how the real world focusing time requirement in an NFL game impacts the frames per second. I hope you test and report your findings.

    just found your channel through a fellow youtube commentor trying to help a neighbor out to find out details on this camera. Besides the camera details, your channel is exciting for me.

    This is a production model? That is more definitively what we can expect as opposed to a pre-production model that always has disclaimers. I'm anxiously awaiting your real world review and especially head tracking, AF and the image quality.

    Question: Couldn't the Smart Controller inadvertently move your focus point when you use back button focus?

    • @mikewinburn
      @mikewinburn 4 года назад

      i have the same question...but i'm guessing because it has a sensitivity setting, you can decide how much pressure makes the cursor move - then use the multi-pad * to fine tune. But, hey - we'll find out soon ;)

    Nice hearing from a professional...a utube professional, northrup, stated the Sony A9 was the better sports camera. Look forward to your followup review! Thanks for sharing.

      If it was a better sports camera you would see more being used. All I see are 1dx's and d5's

    Interesting to know most action photographer's don't shoot in live view, which means the camera is most proficient at 16fps mechanical.

    Who on earth would need a 1000 shot buffer? Can you imagine editing your photos at the end of the day? Great I would also need to buy new memory cards, a card reader, etc. Looks like $7000 just for those 3 things. Great camera but only for the pro photographer

    • @paulwalsh4058
      @paulwalsh4058 4 года назад +2

      Most sports pros don't edit at the end of the day, we edit as we go. So, you're not importing and processing the whole game, but are doing it constantly as the game progresses.
      With the pre-order package (in Europe), you get two free memory cards, plus a card reader, as part of the price.
      I'm looking forward to getting my pre-ordered camera in Feb.

    • @bngr_bngr
      @bngr_bngr 4 года назад +1

      woolybugger1962 the buffer is just a by product of the camera being able to shoot at a higher frame rate.

    • @mrg6424
      @mrg6424 4 года назад +4

      The same people that think they need those ridiculous high ISO numbers, and all the other high specs you can complain about! "Great camera but only for the pro photographer", what'd you expect from a 1DXIII exactly??? Don't go looking for that Nikon D6 , or you'll be traumatized!

    • @vhc7764
      @vhc7764 4 года назад +1

      @@paulwalsh4058 USA only offers one CF Express and the card reader when pre-ordering.

      Don’t need the buffer, but at rugby tourneys I’ll get 5,000 to 7500 shots when it’s done at the end of the day.
