I had low voltage problems with my mechman alt (I think my stinger battery harmed my alt, my stinger battery was lightly smoking and swollen to the point it looked like it was going to explode so I took that as a sign that there was a problem. I accidentally put the positve on negitive and that pretty much ruined my battery) I replaced the battery but still only got 13.5 volts so I sent the mechman in with no warranty and they looked it over and sent it back and when I put my alt back in it read 14.5 volts. I was very happy with they way they treated me, they definitely have great customer service. I am impressed with mechman overall.

why should you have to pay if they didnt tell you about the belt\ pulley combination. How could that have damaged the brush and ring and regulator. Singer and mechman has alts on lock and with good reason.
I had a diode pop in my Mechman, they took good care of me. Now I'm shopping for one for a 2005 Corvette.
nice to hear

At least you got some troubleshooting help..... I live in Australia and they wouldn't even offer me any support!
wow that sucks big time
