In today's video, Kirby visits with bespoke shoemaker Tony Gaziano of Gaziano & Girling in London for the final fitting of his first pair of bespoke shoes from the firm! Tony assesses the adjustments made as a result of Kirby's first fitting back in October 2021. During this fitting, Tony again takes his knife to the shoes and cuts them into pieces to help identify any remaining necessary adjustments in order to make these bespoke shoes perfect!

Always love the fact that despite being so successful, the tailors and shoemakers at Saville row are so humble and are keeping the chivalry alive
I got news for you, my friend. People who are actually successful are very disciplined and kind. It’s the fakers that aren’t.
@@TheRealChrisWoodward
That’s why they say that; only the branch that is full of fruit is ‘down to earth’
@@ahmadtirmzi6143 I like that. I’m going to share that with people also.
If you have been to the right school and know the right people
Chivalry? So all shoemakers are mounted knights?
It might sound strange but watching this purposeful interaction and friendly conversation makes me feel more human in terms I can't describe.
We need more of that in lots of settings
This is actually how two civilized grown ups should interact, with respectt, courtesy and etiquette, and a great part on what makes Kirby’s interviews so unique: it’s never just about the object, but about the quality of the interaction with his guests themselves.
We definitely need more gentlemen like these two, and I’d point you specifically to all of Kirby’s videos feat. the Sahakians from Davidoff of London on this very channel, for even more delightful talks.
Lol. If this is what makes you feel human, you may not have ur priorities sorted.
Well you can’t get anything like this when a product is made via slave labor as virtually all mass fast consumption fashion is today.
I can remember when you would buy shoes and the salesman measured the foot and had a shoehorn- I’m in my 40s; sadly most children today in America will never have that experience that I’d imagine.
I stumbled upon the short of the first fitting, had to find the full length episode, and then I'm so glad there's a follow up final fitting. I haven't looked yet, but I surely hope you've gotten yourself a pair of casual slip ons made!
Blimey! I gotta see the finished shoooeeeesss
@@omfgishBenneh They released the final shoe video on the 9th, go check it out. They are definitely very well made, well worth the process and money.
@@ancilia5508legend! I was one day early 😅
I just stumbled on that short today and now here I am in the rabbit hole of bespoke clothemaking
After watching this, I realised how much effort they put in making these shoes. A shoe that's specially made for your foot, totally different and unique from any other shoes, one and only shoe in the whole world that's specially made for your foot. Totally worth the money. 🙂👍
I have worked many years making custom high end ski boots! And It was an absolute pleasure to satisfy the different customers many unique needs! It is by far the best job I have had in my life! The process is truly amazing!
What a treat for us to be a part of this exclusive process.
I’ve also just stepped into the bespoke world and ordered my first pair of whole cut black Oxfords. I’m excited to see this journey 🙂
Nice to see a fellow countryman in the comment section, who did you commission it with?... Might want to checkout Blkbird shoemakers from Agra, U.P
From whom did you commission them?
@@kirbyallison Who is the maker of your hat, is it custom?
@@letsgowinnietheflu5439 very elegant isn’t it?
@@letsgowinnietheflu5439 I think it may be a hat from the world famous 'Optimo' in Chicago
It's crazy to me how often you post videos and how well done they are. Glad to see your channel getting so big, and thanks for all the great content.
I just love the pure passion of Tony.
What an amazing craftsman, it's a pleasure to see this skill, talent, knowledge and quality of work still exists today.
I hope to love something one day the way Kirby loves saying “bespoke.”
It's like he has no purpose in life but to travel to London so he can have bespoke shoes, bespoke suits, bespoke hats, bespoke this and bespoke that 😂
Seriously like how many times he said the word *"Bespoke"* ?!
@@MrUNCLESAM84 He managed to align his work with his passions. Your mockery only makes you sound foolish. It's true that Kirby can sound unnatural at times but being in character for his viewers while doing an actual fitting for himself is not an easy task. Overall, this is a good channel so just try and be more colourful.
@@LDacic Seem like pretty harmless comments on the whole my guy, I don't think they meant to insult.
@@LDacic Sence you said I'm a fool then here's what I think about Kirby and whoever think like him.
The most successful and top wealthy people in the world don't need bespoke shoes nor bespoke suit, they wear Seiko watches and department store suits (probably from clearance section too).
This guy "Kirby" is a businessman, he doesn't care about quality, craftsmanship nor tradition! he care about the money in your wallet and how is he gonna rip it off you, *that's his real passion* and London is the best place to do so because it's full of rich people from all over the world and especially people from the middle east with plenty of oil money and no clue what to do with that money neither their lives, so there's places that sell bespoke stuff to make such people feel that they're special.
I own 2 businesses and a couple of real estates, I do wear suits sometimes for work and I did wear 2 different uniforms in the past, one for 12 years and the other for 4.
Nothing wrong with a pair of jeans, a baseball cap, a t-shirt and a pair of boots. Only fools and shallow people "like you" would judge the book by its cover.
PS. We should give Kirby a medal for sacrificing himself to such an exhausting and a torturing process for us, I didn't imagine how difficult of a task it is to sit down in a comfortable chair and being fitted for a pair of *"bespoke"* shoes 😂🤣😂🤣.
@@MrUNCLESAM84 Despite you are still on this channel and watch these videos tells everything.
PS: Those successful people don’t spend hours watching these videos.
After watching your videos for several years now, i finally got myself a pair of Allen Edmonds Park Avenue cap-toe Oxford in oxblood. Love them. Have a nice day Kirby greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
This is addictive I just got my third pair of AE in the mail today 🥳
I'm someone who is tired of looking a mess. I don't want to slob around in t shirts and jeans anymore. I like this channel.
Thankyou kirby for the insight into the world of bespoke shoe making amazing loving each episode 👞
"Always great to be back here in London" every single time without fail
Very thorough. Great attention to detail. Very informative. I really enjoyed the video and await your unboxing with great anticipation!
What a fabulous watch Tony has on 👌
I paused the video at 17:20 just to look at the beautiful Yacht-Master!
@@mikelee8082 could be tudor black bay
It's fascinating to see what kind of shoes a bespoke shoemaker wears. Or what kind of suit the tailor wears. It's always something you wouldn't expect! always something somewhat avantgarde in approach
I read on Simon Compton's blog a tailor told him they never make their own suits because they'd know where all the compromises are.
In my opinion such a shoe must be worn with the upmost respect. The dedication itself warrants it!
Wow I’m a woman but would love to have a bespoke shoe. I have had my great toe fused on the right and thus, what fits one foot well does not fit the other. I Love these videos. I really appreciate a gentleman that takes such care on what they wear. ❤️oh my. I have edited to add. Seeing him slice into those beautiful shoes hurt my heart.
Shoes are for everyone regardless of gender
Love to see the bespoke process. I have a pair of MTO G&G shoes which are so so beautiful I haven't been able to wear them yet LOL - they remain in the box for me to admire - I am too scared to walk on the pavement in them....but I need to come to terms with the fact that I need to start wearing them!
Mate, think about gorgeous they are now; then realize they’re only going to look more amazing after they start to get worn and earn the patina. Then they’ll be some real stunners with some real stories!
@@Sleepytechnician Exactly. I am going to start wearing them now it's dry weather :-)
These are fantastic videos; I feel like I know Mr. Gaziano. I can't wait to meet him one day when I get my own bespoke shoe!
It's brilliant to see a real gentleman 👏👏
Great video! And I was excited to hear you’ll be back again for the championships! You are spoiling us with all this content 😃😃😄
had no interest in any of this b4 .. thought never even crossed my mind you could get bespoke shoes till i just saw the 1 min short of a pair of shoes being butchered and i wanted to see what happened next ... very interesting even though its not something i would normally watch.. but as a crafter its nice to see how things are made :D
There's an Australian twang in Tony's voice I can detect every now and then
He has a south east metropolitan English accent.
@@Russell-1 Im a born and bred Londoner. I stand by my comment
@@teenoso4069 It's true, there is that twang and he would fit in Australia as an immigrant quite well.
He sounds kinda like Andy serkis
This is a great video to show people who don’t understand the value of hand-made goods.
Nice one Kirby. You got me savouring your experience!
I really love this bespoke shoes world - I am just now waiting for my second pair of bespoke shoes from the great viennese shoemaker "Materna". Thanks for these interesting videos showing the whole process.
nice to see a fellow Viennese. Trying to save some money for a pair of real high quality bespoke shoes. Been to materna before and had a look at his shop. Wonderful shoes. But I guess I fell in love with "Feine Wiener Schuhmanufaktur" and their workshop :)
I don’t know how these videos got into my feed, and I’m definitely not the type of person that would do this. That said, I really enjoyed watching this process purely for the discipline of the craft and the conversation. If I ever get a terminal diagnosis, I might just take some retirement money and get the works - suit, shoes, watch…. everything. Then I can literally go out in style.
Hes savoring the process
I see you, Yachtmaster. What a flex.
Can’t wait to see the final product!!
Amazing attention to detail
Looking forward to seeing these finished
Perfect giveaway idea, take the winner and have them fit for their own bespoke suit, shirt, and shoes!
I once suggested that. Obviously no return comments were made.
That's a 5 digit giveaway dude.
@@F0XD1E I know, dude.
@@F0XD1E obviously this was not a very serious comment.
Kirby alison what a channel your videos are on another level
Incredible British craftsmanship
Hat and coat in the beginning 🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely fascinating, and most informative! Great video. Kindest regards.
Ancient craft and science.. Craftsman, podiatrist, communicator, salesman, consultant and somewhat athletic getting done on the floor ... We can learn a lot how to carry ourselves from watching these videos.
Can't wait to see the goal, Kirby!
I’m not sure why I’ve become so invested in these darn shoes. I don’t even like shoes. But I can’t wait to see the final product.
Great video Kirby
The Kirby Allison “Sandford” shoe. A casual way to look refined.
I think this is the first time I see someone so well dressed act like a child in the playground, haha
I guess he really loves his job and doesn't care for unnecessary formalities
I love, love, love your videos!
What a treat, the higher end of it all!
He’s a very talented Shoemaker!! Hopefully one day I will be in a position to commission a custom pair for myself 👍
I love that! Thank you so much!
Stunning shoes
Lovely Kirby, thankyou very much. Just a quick question. I have noticed that there is quite a bit of space in this model between the end of the model ie tie point and where your point ends? Is that right or does Tony take that back a bit, looked like there was a good inch of space there? Thankyou.
this kirby guy, very nice
he should be on the show more often
I couldn't even afford the pissing shoebox!😭
Tony Gaziano wears pretty much the same pocket square that is my favorite pocket square. I often wear a navy pocket square with white polka dots, It goes with almost anything and is a bit more fun than just a white pocket square, which is what I would suggest for most men.
Wow look at the space in the toes to its actual toe caps.....learning alot
That is by far the least thing to take with you from these videos. Its entirely cosmetical.
@Kirby Allison, great video! Which style did you decide on; the St. James I or the St. James II? Also, what toe shape are you going with; is it closer to the TG73 or the MH71? Can’t wait to see the finished product in May!
Hi Kirby, what do you think about the 82 last compared to the new 915 last from Edward Green. Which one do you prefer more for a young 25 year-old man? Thank you for your great content!
Kirby great video!! I was wondering can you explain what is the difference between Norwegian Construction and Goyser/Tirolese Construction. I always thought they were the same thing. Recently someone mentioned to me that there are not but they didn't know the exact difference themselves. I thought you are the person to ask. Thank you and have a great day.
Fascinating video
Looking sharp 👌
Loved seeing the rose gold Yachtmaster outside of a watch review.
I am glad you answered that question I was thinking between Yachtmaster or Omega Seamaster. Thank you,
It’s a Tudor with the bronze case
It’s so relaxing for me watching him and hearing him cut the shoes. But then again, I ain’t paying for em either 😅
I love the series! May you go into some depth / advise for finishing university and gaining full suits with consideration of money ! Another question I have is when is the most appropriate setting for dbl breasted or single (if there is etc). Thank you and best regards ST (Edinburgh/Munich)
God this was a fascinating watch
Is there a specific way to tie these shoes? Why the maker wanted to tie the shoe? Does the process change if the client has a specific way he ties his shoes?
Your coat is amazing. May I know where did you get that coat from? Is it bespoke or RTW?
You are a real man of style, but I have a question. Will there EVER come a time in your life when you will have all the shoes and suits and shirts and jackets that you need?
He already does!! How's he gonna keep making videos otherwise?
love your long coat where did u buy it .love your classy style .❤❤❤
I'd love a pair of bespoke shoes, I'm kind of in between 11.5 and 12 UK size and it's impossible to get shoes that fit correctly. I also would have chosen the st James II
Nice idea..
I need a Kirby goes Sneaker Shopping with Joe La Puma.
Dont down grade to street ware. Such distasteful
I wonder if Gaziano would make a Custom Horsebit with Danite.
Great video, Kirby! The shoes looks great. Can’t wait to see those boots from Lee Miller!
I’ve discovered the only asmr I like: people talking about shoes I can’t afford for half an hour then a British man cutting them up on the floor
My only discus not wanting Tony’s jacket this time. That’s a first! Everything else is great.
Tony is a real master, well worth the expense, probably some the best shoes in the world.
Kirby hope you don't take this wrong, but could you make a video for short guys? I am a short guy myself and you look pretty dapper in your outfits all the time :)
How is this final fitting when he is still cutting them up? I want to see the finished product
Hey Kirby, out of curiosity how do you feel now, months later, about the shoes? Were your concerns about the arch warranted, or did the finished product's structure provide enough support as was discussed?
There is no point making direct questions to Kirby in the comments, or atleast ive never seen him respond to anything in the comment section.
At first I thought Kirby was contracted to do a mob hit. Nice shoes, nobody does it like Gaziano!
has Mr Allison done a video on socks? otc ftw. Mes Chausettes Rouges?
Is there a reason why they dont simply take a mold of your foot for the last? Is it just about the tradition or artisanship of the wooden last?
I’ve seen that on other channels.
I think this guy is starting to Savour the experience
I wonder if Trev loves the process and savors it?
Kirby, you don't prefer the "snap brim" on your fedora?
Awesome
Tony's voice!
The measurements are so precise. I wonder how the foot changes during the day affect the fitting process. Does one schedule the fittings first thing in the morning, or make a point to try on the shoes at the same time of day throughout?
Who makes Tony's suits?
if we could get Reviewbrah to fly to London and star in these videos, they would be PERFECT. Just perfect.
Just checked online, the prices for these aren't as extravagant as I would have expected. They're not inexpensive, don't get me wrong, but a normal person with a decent income could afford a couple pairs of these and they would last you a lifetime.
Sounds like a house of commercial affection I visited once great conversation enjoyable experience especially at the end go to Walmart pick up a pair of shoes and donate the rest to charity
Anyone know how much a pair of shoes like this would cost?
The Cobbler's sporting a Rose Gold Rolex Yacht Master - $30k - Good on him!
I find it unusual that this place doesn't have a fitting stool like a shoe store in the U.S. would have .
Yall notice how he waited to be offered a seat before he even moved? That's called home training...
Tony has such nice manners and is a highly skilled craftsman.
It sounds like hes having abit of a cold, hope it didnt feel too bad during the day!
I enjoy watching. But I can't continue when he starts to cut it 😕
It is quite interesting the philosophy of returns on products what is deemed "worth it". 1 bespoke compared to 5 high end dress shoes. Valuing quantity and better than a lot out there as justification but it is still short changing. Buy right once and limit quantity to have superior quality. Same thing of the lower end market there are great shoes under 250$ but people would rather buy 2 or even 4 pairs of shoes for that 250 instead of one quality piece based on budget.
Very big difference and is limited by overall budget. But 1 shoe a year compared to 4 or 5 a year with exact costs have better return on the 1 alone.
