Historical fun facts: - There was a nation in Indonesia built by Naz1 German prisoners during ww2. More precisely, the Frei Staat Nias, of which was built by the German prisoners that the Dutch sent there. The first and only head of state was Ernst Leo Fischer, and the nation would last about a month before Japan would annex the nation. - The first Asian (or South East Asian) republic was the Lanfang republic, a Chinese-Indonesian nation located in Kalimantan. - The Empire of Sriwijaya (English: Srivijaya) invaded the coast of Africa (around the coast of Mozambique) in the year 945 - the Makassar people travelled to the Aboriginal people of Australia, and was known to trade with the natives there. - Because of the Yogya sultan's help in financing the independence war, the government gave autonomy to the Yogya city, making it the city/province where the ruler is an absolute monarch (a sultan instead of a governor) - Soekarno, and much of the founding fathers wanted Malaysia and the Philippines to join Indonesia. Borobudur was also the biggest target for theives. Many Buddha statues were destroyed and stolen. The temple was also bombed. The Dutch destroyed some portion of it and gave them to the Thais. Even two lion statues, who were built as the guardians of the temple's entrance, are now being shown off in a Thai museum. Borobudur was once lost as well. When Muslims begin to dominate, the temple was abandoned. It was overgrown by plants to the point that people thought it was a hill. The Dutch recovered it. The Dutch also tried to repair it when they realize years later that Borobudur was a valuable historical site.

2:06 After the dissolution of the Islamic party (Masyumi 1960) because of its involvement in the PRRI/Permesta rebellion. And the rebellion was funded by the United States. During the 60s the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) It did not encounter political resistance and became the 3rd largest communist party in the world. In order to prevent Indonesia from becoming a communist country. The United States staged its second coup. 1965 the communist party was accused of involvement in the murder of 10 army generals. If this was a communist party rebellion, why were there only 10 victims and all of them were Army General .There are no navy or air generals. In 1966 Suharto and the army killed 1 million communists and imprisoned 3 million communists without trial. Dl With the death of the first president of the Republic of Indonesia in 1967.Suharto rose to power with the help of the United States. In order to prevent ideology that damages unity. All political parties must adhere to the 5 values of Pancasila. 1.Belief in the one and only God 2.Just and civilized humanity 3.The unity of Indonesia) 4 Democracy guided by the inner wisdom in the unanimity arising out of deliberations among representatives 5.Social justice for all the people of Indonesia Any party that does not have these 5 values or has opposing values must be disbanded. let me tell u an extremely interesting trivia; Soeharto was the most corrupt leader of all time, one of the most non-democratic leader of all time and possibly the entire Indonesian History, who rise to power by toppling down the unifier of the country Soekarno, who befriended China, Yugoslavia, Soviet Union & North Korea. The coup conviniently happened after the Permesta armed rebellion, which weirdly backed by the USA. Right during the New Order he dismantled all Soekarno loyalist, which are mostly Navy & Air Force branch with Soviet equipments, making Indonesia's Navy & Air Force from being the strongest in East Asia to one the Weakest in East Asia, also conviniently most Soviet gears used by Indonesia at the time are replaced by Western equipments, with most still remains in the Marines. During the reign of Soeharto Indonesia conviniently never get bombed by USA & Its allies not even once, and instead, western corporate investments starts pouring in and escavate most of local resources like Papua's gold mine. What am I getting here? try figure, maybe the USA loves Dictators who are friendly to USA???? today is Indonesian Independence day, maybe Indonesian should start realizing whats up.
Well yeah because there is no free lunch, US help us to be independence by threatening dutch to back off from their 2nd aggression after our independence declaration and when they try implement "their democracy" to us Soekarno cleverly avoid it, that's why they replace him with suharto 😅😅

One Fact that American don't know: At 1800-1942 once upon a day, a Dutch colonize Indonesia, for 350 years, and so, Indonesia are tired of being colonized, so they had a huge motivation to fight with the Dutch as 17th August 1945, and Indonesia won! *Disaster strike* Japan and UK colonize Indonesia for 14 years, no food sources and water, yet at the same day, they motivate, fight, and won.

Great video, though I felt that you skimmed out on a few more important things in the video. Such as Soeharto abusing the elective terms numorous times as back then, you can be president for more than 2 terms. So he abused this rule for 6 presidential terms of 30 entire years, effectively making him the unofficial king of Indonesia. You could be born just as Soeharto entered office, and by the time you've already been working at a job for half a decade after graduating college, he would still be the president! Might seem unrelated but it is related as you were explaining why he is the most corrupt leader in the world

1.Belief in the one and only God
2.Just and civilized humanity
3.The unity of Indonesia)
4 Democracy guided by the inner wisdom in the unanimity arising out of deliberations among representatives
5.Social justice for all the people of Indonesia
Any party that does not have these 5 values or has opposing values must be disbanded.
So don't be surprised if Indonesia chooses party figures rather than the party itself.

let me tell u an extremely interesting trivia;
Soeharto was the most corrupt leader of all time, one of the most non-democratic leader of all time and possibly the entire Indonesian History, who rise to power by toppling down the unifier of the country Soekarno, who befriended China, Yugoslavia, Soviet Union & North Korea.
Usa will do everything to prevent indonesia become communist.
Well yeah because there is no free lunch, US help us to be independence by threatening dutch to back off from their 2nd aggression after our independence declaration and when they try implement "their democracy" to us Soekarno cleverly avoid it, that's why they replace him with suharto 😅😅
Wow nice video and new sub:)
Thank you for pointing out about the biggest Muslim population in the world. A lot of other channel mistaken us simply as a Muslim country
Hey thx for commenting, 😀 but someone informed me a few hours ago, this year.. Indonesia ranked 2nd as the country with the largest muslim population. The first spot gets taken by Pakistan now.. i checked it out on the world population review website, and it's true.. but the difference is not that big tho.. Indonesia (236 million) Pakistan (240 million) 👍👍

Bro I would be shocked if Obama studied Indonesian in 4 years. Like i've never heard Obama speak Indonesian.
Today is my grandma's birthday!
One Fact that American don't know:
At 1800-1942 once upon a day, a Dutch colonize Indonesia, for 350 years, and so, Indonesia are tired of being colonized, so they had a huge motivation to fight with the Dutch as 17th August 1945, and Indonesia won! *Disaster strike* Japan and UK colonize Indonesia for 14 years, no food sources and water, yet at the same day, they motivate, fight, and won.
ANother country before the dutch are the Spain and Portugal. Even the mongolians, but they got beaten hard and left LOL
You just make me smile when you mention "free palestine" ❤😊

11:28 i remember my friend making a whole story of our group chat where we went to borobudur and suddenly on our way there were getting haunted and corrupted and hallucinating and fought monsters and there was a self driving taxi that lead us to places and i got controlled by some lady in red
Its a piece of history and whenever candi borobudur is mentioned the first thing that comes to mind is that story.
He used to give us clues of the next remaining chapters and we went crazy over them, i loved those times:D

Might seem unrelated but it is related as you were explaining why he is the most corrupt leader in the world
Thx for the comment, man. I should've included that part as well, but I forgot to add it😅 I'll do better next time 🔥 Also, happy independence day to you, dude 🫡

@@IndoGunsnGearwoi woi. Belajar sejarah dulu.

@@IndoGunsnGear yeah, even though we do take care of the environment, we still produce millions of tonnes of trash every year and was even the 2nd largest waste producer at one point 😔
But we are improving and our government already has a few plans for this problem, such as the National Action Plan on Marine Plastic Debris 2017-2025, which aims to reduce marine plastic debris by 70% by 2025 :D
