+Chad Perry well you certainly compacted the game. I'm just over 140 hours in and I only now beat the wall of flesh.
I just kept fighting the moon lord until I reached the 50 kills mark. It's really easy if you have a strategy, or use the terrarian. I reach the 50 moon lord kills mark on September 15th

I have to say; one of my favorite things i have ever built in terraria was on my friends multiplayer world and it was a Star-Trek style transport room where we all stood on teleporters and when we were ready we threw the switch and we all ended up at an exact copy of that room somewhere else in the world.

One of mine was a replica of the Airship from Megaman ZX. I just love that airship.
And a city in the clouds for hardcore, I just needed to leave in bloodmoons xD
Oh! And a underground mushroom biome city too! Man, such memories.

What I would add to the list is a armour room with a lol of the armour in the game so as you progress in the game you can make a few more armour sets
you CANT put npcs in the secret base because theyre visible on the map (facepalm)
Not unless they've discovered that part on the map, I would think? If it's somewhere down under it would be hard to find!
No, if the npc is in a house (aka unbound in contrast to bound mechanic/goblin) he is visible to everyone on the map

AeroTekGamingTM Just go to any old video from before the console version came out about all bosses being beaten. Look at all 9001 comments saying "You forgot Ocram". Then, look at all the cheaters who use Red's Wings, and then proceed to call legit players noobs because they don't have top teir weapons. Then watch as everyone complains that console doesn't have 1.3 because they didn't buy the superior PC version even though it's cheaper.
I'm just being honest but, some of us (like me) are just kids so parents don't allow that.If they're not kids then they should be able to buy a $10 game on steam so i guess i'm with you there

Only made potions for WOF, defeated it first try, then realized I didn't drink the potions.

make 3 liquid generators for lava, water, and honey. (easy enough: make a plinko machine with a room above dropping liquid on top of 1+ pegs, in the top room, put an output pump. at the base of the plinko pegs, put an intake pump. then connect the 2 pumps together and to a 1 sec timer. add enough of your liquid to the base to allow constant pumping, then activate and watch as the machine slowly fills with the liquid)
build an obsidian, (solid) honey, and crispy honey generator. (use the above liquid generator, then put a 3 block tunnel underneath connecting the 2 pools. remove the center block in the tunnel and as long as you keep the generators running, you have infinite obsidian and solid honey (crispy and solid).
make a statue mob farm/grinder. (there are multiple forms, my go to is a 2x3 box (interior) with thin lava, statue, and timer.)
You should do top 5 blocks

1. Get the clentaminator.
2. Get some crimson solutions.
3. Visit your sister's world.
4. Spread crimson to her base and remove the hallow.
5. Quarrell.

You should make another list, this was pretty unique.
i have a tendency to build Bases around the world, sorta like a checkpoint, really helpful actually when you need a breather but don't want to teleport to your home base.
more is needed. these. were. amazing. sadly console doesn't have rails but oh well

I used living fire to make a burning cross in the arms dealer's room. Turned out pretty nice

I know one for fast money money and has a use for the blood moon;
set up a room,
then split you're room in half with fish statues on the bottom of the room and pressure plaits at the top,
then wire the pressure plaits to the fish statues
instructions;
wait or do something until the blood moon arrives,
then run across the top layer of the box until the blood moon event is over
and finally go douwn and kill all the corrupted fish

For teleporters, I usually build a floating "hub" where all the teleporters go to/from.
+EariosRandomness Me too, I like wiring in this game, but for teleporters it sucks soooo much. I would like a "frecuency wiring" or Starbound like wiring for them.
girascorpion Wireless stuff would be a great thing for this game to have.
EariosRandomness A lot time ago I saw a Minecraft mod with that, you have a wireless box to make connections and all. For making street lights that can be off/on on night/day it was wonderful. In Starbound you can conect everything you want but not too far from another things. But teleporters dont need connections at all. That is what we need in Terraria. n_n

For teleporters I don't know how to use them, search it online, connect the one at the bottom of my house to the one at the top, never use it, so all that happens is me hearing magic mirror sounds because of the NPCs, because I'm too lazy to change the pressure plates. Or get rid of the teleporter.
My arena has pressure plates everywhere and it is connected to a heart generator. Only one though... 😞
Make sure your deathweed farm is away from grass. If it is 3 blocks away it will spread crimson/corruption. Make sure it is 4-6 blocks away from grass.
Already built an amazing base with architect's dream of building design on XB-1. Now to wait for 1.3

the funny thing about trying to make a secret base is just look at the map and you'll find it especially if ur gonna have ur guide in it

Maybe u could do a sort of speed build of a rollercoaster with jumps, teleporters, speed tracks and such. That'd be awesome! But I'd definitely agree on more top 5 lists. I LOVE these videos! ;D
With the placement of coins you can make a kick ass treasure room.
I have a hidden base that I’m working on.I drained the ocean and then flattened an area. I’m about to pump it full of water again.
Gemspark blocks cost diamond. Diamond are rare.
they arent... i got over 130 in 20min with spelunkers... so the 10 gemspark need 1 diamond. that means 1diamond =10 blocks. But mostly you need walls so 1block =4 walls. at the end you will have 40gemspark wall from 1 diamond...

I think worlds should have roughly the same amounts of diamonds, perhaps very rarely it will be less on small but I think it just fills the world with ores based on guaranteed although very varied intervals of distance between each vein. Does anyone know how this works by any chance?

about the farm at 3:07 it would be more effective if you place a layer of wood or stone under the dirt so the vines don't get in your way
or like place a vine rope

You should do terraria inspiration videos giving us (the viewer) ideas on what to do in game. It can be big and elaborate stuff or small and enjoyable things. Just saying I would love a few videos like that because I always have a hard time finding things to do that will keep me interested in my worlds.

They probably won‘t find a secret entrance. I mean, it‘s a suspicious looking line out of bricks in the middle of dirt with a lever in front of it and wires + actuators. How could anyone figure out what that means? 10/10 would use this again.
For a good farm use actutaors and place them in your farm, so with a flick of a switch, all the materials drop to the bottem.

5. not a big fan of servers because they're laggy (0:16) (secret bases)
4. too much work (0:45) (rollercoaster)
3. I keep dying from doing multiple bosses at once (1:13) (HARDCOREish arena)
2. I am not a good artist (1:56) (pixel art)

I've got 430 hours in Terraria and not once have I ever made a farm. It was never necessary. I got all my health potions from bosses and pots.
Make a big giant ball of meteorite in the sky and put a flame trail on it made of living flame and living ichor blocks for a cool little artificial meteor biome
A hellivator is also a must have for every world. Fuck art, its all about usefullness!

+Tyan Tyana lol getting lead armor and gold armor is pretty useless, i just go exploring for good items underground the first day, then look in the dungeon for a waterbolt then i use that to check for floating islands and the starfury. And if i have bombs on me i explode 2 corruption orbs, then wait for the meteorite to land and then use bombs to get the metorite which i use to craft a full meteorite set and space gun, and now im ready to defeat every pre-hardmode boss easily. And this just takes like 1 hour
Secret bases are returned to Pokemon oras
Normally I don’t use an arena I use whatever my world gives me or whatever I mined already to find it
How about a room filled with organized and labeled chests?

I know this is old, but the first one is rather counter-productive if you intend to house your NPCs within them. Anyone who joins your world can just hit TAB & voila your "secret" base is revealed. Not much of a secret now is it?
i have hint for secret basses dont putt the switch next to it putt it some were were its hidden and far away
A better way is to mine out 1 block 2 blocks underground. Make sure you have every block around it as a dark block. Paint all of it with Shadow paint. Place the over and paint it with shadow paint.
