build a box under liquids you want to destroy. place a chest in the box, add any item to the chest, fill the box with a liquid that isn't the one you want to get rid of, break the box open so the liquids can mix. the liquid will destroy itself without making any obsidian or honey blocks. as long as the chest contains something it cant be destroyed by lava. use block swap to place a non falling block at the bottom of a sand pile, place a torch or minecart track on the ground under that in a place like the desert or a lot of sand, break the block you swapped out and all the sand will break when it hits the torch or track allowing you to mine all of it out really quickly. this allows you to make a ton of glass quickly, use with a keg to get a lot of money easy early on.
I think secret seeds should be renamed to special seeds or gimmick seeds or something. There's nothing of secret in them, but they are very different from normal world seeds and are pretty nice and unique.
From the looks of it, it’s going to be very similar to secret seeds in the binding of isaac, where you can unlock them, and then after that, activate multiple seeds on a random world.
I know some of us would very much like for more on this topic; it’s something not mentioned often but can greatly increase rng during gameplay. Another video would be great!
I wonder if I should consider me discovering the getfixedboi generation screen secret my "biggest accomplishment in terraria." It is nice to have an impact on the community regardless.
I actually always build several towns around different biomes to match NPCs with their "natural" biomes, so I've been matching their happiness long before it was a thing. The only one that is kind of a hassle is the goblin and the mechanic because they love being near each other but like different biomes.
3:50 Not all of those items can be thrown into shimmer for permanent buffs! The peddler's satchel IS the permanent buff item (increasing the travelling merchant's item amount by 1), the item you need th shimmer in order to obtain the satchel is the Peddler's Hat!
I learned about sitting on the toilet to increase fishing power from one of your videos actually, and ever since then, I always include 1 for each of my team members in any fishing huts I build (even though i do 90% of all the fishing usually, and once I get an innertube, I tend to just chill in the water in my fishing loadout, as the innertube gives you the same boost)
You can get a 5% buff from both the Inner Tube and a toilet by placing the toilet in 1-2 blocks of water. You need to counteract the flotation effect of the Tube, which I find easiest with a Flipper Potion. With Fisher Armor, the Tackle Box, the Golden Rod, and Fishing Potion, it's not hard to get over 200 fishing power.
Found this video incredibly useful. Havent played terraria in 8 years. Bought it again on ps4 after my pc died. Could never get the hang of the controller, but now you can use a keyboard with your ps4 for it. So im getting back into it, but holy hell, its like a new game. Pylons, shimmer, npc happiness. Its all new to me!
Luck affects damage on both sides. Not only would it slightly affect your overall damage output, but also how much damage you take (both before defense is calculated) from enemy hits. According to the wiki, you can have up to a 5% increase/decrease in average damage output/intake.
I have something else to add about the shimmer, this isn't a secret but it's still good to know. The way the Aether biome generates actually makes it a fairly good mob farm, you can set up some bridges and a lava pyramid and farm some goodies
Fun fact: you can shake trees as many times as you want in any given Terraria day! After you're done shaking your desired amount of trees, just save and exit your world! For some reason the counters for if a tree was shaken and how many trees were shaken reset, so abuse this before it's potentially patched out!
As someone planning to return in the near future, thank you for explaining the shimmer liquid and that there's new player upgrading consumables to be made there (I want to return for 1.4.5/1.5 but I'm getting impatient, it's been 2 years since I last played (still my favorite game, if it wasn't obvious enough)

there was this bug upon the initial release of torch luck that made non corresponding torches actually DECREASE luck by a significant amount... at least i think anyways. it got fixed later tho.
So, I know that for those of us who are already aware of this, this may not seem all that important, but for those who are not, Chippy showed the Peddler's Satchel during his segment on Shimmer and the permanent buffs it can give, referring to it as one of the items that can be thrown in to gain consumables that provide the buffs in question, when in actuality, it is the result of an item having already been thrown in, and transformed into one of these consumables. The item required to get it is the Peddler's Hat, which is dropped by the Traveling Merchant upon his death, with this being the only way to acquire it. Upon throwing it into Shimmer, it will be transmuted into the Peddler's Satchel, which will rise up, and become retrievable by the player, who can then use it to gain its buff, increasing the amount of items that the Traveling Merchant can sell by one, although it may be more, given that I don't really know for sure what the exact number is.
Bro once you are in the undergroung mushroom biome in the downleftside theres an chest that is moving which you can unlock with golden key and inside of it is an elderly slime😮

List of Terraria Secrets: 1.) Terraria Otherworld Soundtrack - 0:27 Create a world with the Drunk world seed (05162020) to hear the alternate soundtrack, unlocking the Music tab on the Party Girl. 2.) NPC Happiness - 1:08 NPC Happiness not only affects NPC item costs, but NPC buying prices, reforge costs from the Goblin Tinkerer, and rewards from the Angler. Without checking the wiki, you can also go to the Bestiary to find an NPCs desired biome. 3.) World Generation Mini-game - 2:37 While generating a world with the Get fixed boi* seed, your cursor turns into a smiley face moon. Bouncing stars off the moon in the world generation screen increases a hidden score by 1. Every point enhances the spawn rates of life crystals, statues, chests, and more by 0.1% up to a maximum of 20% (200 points) based on your score. 4.) Shimmer Liquid Uses - 3:20 Found in the Aether biome (which is always underground, between the Ocean and Jungle), the Shimmer liquid can de-craft items, swap certain items (like Ankh Shield materials) for their counterparts, turn items (like Life Crystals and Mana Crystals) into permanent player buffs, increase luck by throwing in money, and transform NPCs into their alternate designs. 5.) Luck Mechanic - 4:03 Luck is a hidden stat influencing damage, item drops rates, rare critter and enemy spawn rates, certain NPC's first appearances, and the Travelling Merchant's inventory. It can be increased by interacting with ladybugs (whereas killing them decreases luck and increases the chance of rain), witnessing lantern nights, throwing coins into Shimmer, wearing the Lucky Horseshoe or the Lucky Coin, staying in a 170 x 125 range of a Garden Gnome, using Luck Potions or the Galaxy Pearl (shimmered Pink Pearl), and using the correct torches in the correct biomes. 6.) Torch God's Favor - 5:46 Place 101 torches close together underground to trigger an event where you need to dodge flames that shoot out from the placed torches. Completing the event grants the Torch God's Favor. Consuming it allows regular torches and campfires to convert to biome-specific versions, increasing luck underground. This can be toggled off and on at the left of the inventory. 7.) Tree Shaking - 6:22 Instead of chopping down trees, hit them once with an axe to shake them and get extra items like acorns and fruit without destroying the tree. Each tree can only be shaken once per day, up to 500 trees per day. 8.) Secret Seed Exclusives - 6:54 Some items, enemies, and a boss are more accessible/exclusive to secret seeds such as: - Moon Lord's Legs in the Drunk world seed (05162020) - Red's potion in Drunk world (05162020), For The Worthy*, Get fixed boi*, and CelebrationMk10* seeds - Jungle Mimics and the Golden Slime in CelebrationMk10 and Get Fixed Boy - Waffle's Iron weapon from Mechdusa in Get Fixed Boy. 9.) Shitty Fishing - 8:03 You can get +5 fishing power from fishing on a toilet (except for the Golden Toilet). Additional Information: You can also get more fishing power from riding a flamingo (Mollusk Whistle mount) or equipping an innertube in water and drinking an Ale/Sake. (All secret seeds with [*] can be placed as a seed with no case sensitivity to access them when creating a world while seeds with specific strings are in parentheses.)

I imagine my experience would've been a lot more annoying if I were doing vanilla GFB.
@@DarkAuraLord Calamity probably made it a lot more interesting, I think I just struggled my way to the surface, and once I realized it was fully corrupted I just gave up 😂
@@elijahloiacono that seed just entirely removing the clentaminator as an option for purifying is CRAZY work. Red was toking on that Durbin Poison when he came up with that one. 😂
4:20 great video but dang the music gets so FUNKY here for no reason and I love it
gotta be some anomalie song i don't know about, anybody know?
THE ANGLER'S HAPPINESS AFFECTS THE FISHING QUESTS REWARDS!?!?
0:51 What an interesting world name.
Ikr
1:40 I'm surprised you didn't know this until recently. It was one of the first things I noticed about this feature!
Funnily enough it was CaptainSparkles that pointed it out to me haha
Same here! I knew this since 1.4.4 came out.
Yeah, this was pretty much the first thing every online discussion about happiness was centered on when it released. Lots of people complaining that the cramped towers would now give them terrible prices. I'm very surprised Chippy missed all of that somehow.
build a box under liquids you want to destroy. place a chest in the box, add any item to the chest, fill the box with a liquid that isn't the one you want to get rid of, break the box open so the liquids can mix. the liquid will destroy itself without making any obsidian or honey blocks. as long as the chest contains something it cant be destroyed by lava.
use block swap to place a non falling block at the bottom of a sand pile, place a torch or minecart track on the ground under that in a place like the desert or a lot of sand, break the block you swapped out and all the sand will break when it hits the torch or track allowing you to mine all of it out really quickly. this allows you to make a ton of glass quickly, use with a keg to get a lot of money easy early on.
Chippy upload is a rare occurrence.
always a good one, though
I'm pretty sure moon lord legs are FTW too.
Day 1 of convincing the new CEO of terraria to add a Desert theme boss and an item that summoms the travelling merchant.😄
I wonder if I should consider me discovering the getfixedboi generation screen secret my "biggest accomplishment in terraria." It is nice to have an impact on the community regardless.
Wow dude congrats on 1 million. You worked so hard. Well deserved.
3:50
you put the peddlers satchel instead of their hat by mistake
I actually always build several towns around different biomes to match NPCs with their "natural" biomes, so I've been matching their happiness long before it was a thing. The only one that is kind of a hassle is the goblin and the mechanic because they love being near each other but like different biomes.
Thank you Chippy, listening to your tips is way easier than scrolling through the infinite void of the Wiki.
the CEO twitter interaction has been so funny thank you ❤😂
3:50 Not all of those items can be thrown into shimmer for permanent buffs!
Re-Logic is about to hire someone to "take care of" Chippy
For some reason the counters for if a tree was shaken and how many trees were shaken reset, so abuse this before it's potentially patched out!
if you make a pt.2 you should tell about how some dev names (as character name) changes some weapon colors like the last prism.
Saw this. Clicked immediately. Simple. I'll update this comment with everything I learn, if I learn anything.
What I learned:
Drunk Seed Otherworld Music
Angler Happiness
getfixedboi Generation Minigame
Same
Btw the getfixedboi thing also increases the amount of traps
@@E.EE. Traps, ore, and I think it also applies to treasure as well, that or I'm thinking of pots and heart crystals.
I knew about all of those, but I never use them, and I really should have used the minigame for my getfixedboi playthrough, but I forgot about it
ayyy, I learnt the same things as you! (other than the otherworld drunk music but that's only cause I did a playthrough of it)
I would absolutely love a part two of this
5:34 wasnt that removed because people were mad and then the devs added torch god as a way to defend from the protest people were doing, that is, putting a lot of regular torches in a small area?
there was this bug upon the initial release of torch luck that made non corresponding torches actually DECREASE luck by a significant amount... at least i think anyways. it got fixed later tho.
Love you so much Chippy! Have been following you for about 7 years now ❤
Thank you!!
Hey Chippy, do you still remember the Daytime remix we got? Still bangs to this day 😂
You know it's good when you already know all the secrets in this video😉
Bro once you are in the undergroung mushroom biome in the downleftside theres an chest that is moving which you can unlock with golden key and inside of it is an elderly slime😮
I hope that for the next update there will be a setting for world generation to include both types of evil biomes and hallowed, how big they are or how fast they spread, and for all types of exclusive enemies, items to spawn.
"Welcome home, Boss"
Staff moral increased

It’s important to note that moon lords legs do also appear in getfixedboi because getfixedboi is a combination of every seed
This was a great video. Part 2? Yes, please. :D I would love to learn about things that make this game better. Thanks!
We’re running out of content bro, we need 1.4.5 😭
Yeah, but I like to see how much content Re-Logic can add in a single update. 😏
I wish they would stop breaking my mod loadout...
On one hand, I'm excited for 1.4.5.
On the other hand, I'm not excited to have to play without Recipe Browser or Magic Storage
@@masontabalani1464 iff they add to much it will become 1.5 just like that, remember how long we waited for 1.4
@@morganthefool Yeah, I know. We all know how the company's like, though. I am pretty sure they are almost finish. The update would probably be released - at my guess - next year's January or March.
I actually did not know a bunch of these! Great video! :D
Part 2 would be Nice. Thanks ❤
This has been incredibly helpful, thank you Chippy!!
Nice vid!
you didnt watch it yet silly
Finish watching it bro
3:40 It's rare but possible for the Aether to generate inside the Jungle. I thought I was going insane when I couldn't find it in my world because it spawned in the Jungle
I visited the drunk seed beforehand and thought the music option was just a default feature! Fun to know it was actually a secret 😂
Another thing about ladybugs, using them as bait while fishing will also decrease your luck
I knew of everything but the toilet one
The tube floatie also boosts your fishing power, I think its slightly more then the toilet
2:43 I'd say it's worth it, but in my experience it ended up generating a working Pigron statue thanks to the No Traps seed additions and really hindered my playthrough on the Getfixedboi seed
List of Terraria Secrets:
1.) Terraria Otherworld Soundtrack - 0:27
Create a world with the Drunk world seed (05162020) to hear the alternate soundtrack, unlocking the Music tab on the Party Girl.
2.) NPC Happiness - 1:08
NPC Happiness not only affects NPC item costs, but NPC buying prices, reforge costs from the Goblin Tinkerer, and rewards from the Angler. Without checking the wiki, you can also go to the Bestiary to find an NPCs desired biome.
3.) World Generation Mini-game - 2:37
While generating a world with the Get fixed boi* seed, your cursor turns into a smiley face moon. Bouncing stars off the moon in the world generation screen increases a hidden score by 1. Every point enhances the spawn rates of life crystals, statues, chests, and more by 0.1% up to a maximum of 20% (200 points) based on your score.
4.) Shimmer Liquid Uses - 3:20
Found in the Aether biome (which is always underground, between the Ocean and Jungle), the Shimmer liquid can de-craft items, swap certain items (like Ankh Shield materials) for their counterparts, turn items (like Life Crystals and Mana Crystals) into permanent player buffs, increase luck by throwing in money, and transform NPCs into their alternate designs.
5.) Luck Mechanic - 4:03
Luck is a hidden stat influencing damage, item drops rates, rare critter and enemy spawn rates, certain NPC's first appearances, and the Travelling Merchant's inventory.
6.) Torch God's Favor - 5:46
Place 101 torches close together underground to trigger an event where you need to dodge flames that shoot out from the placed torches. Completing the event grants the Torch God's Favor. Consuming it allows regular torches and campfires to convert to biome-specific versions, increasing luck underground. This can be toggled off and on at the left of the inventory.
7.) Tree Shaking - 6:22
Instead of chopping down trees, hit them once with an axe to shake them and get extra items like acorns and fruit without destroying the tree. Each tree can only be shaken once per day, up to 500 trees per day.
8.) Secret Seed Exclusives - 6:54
Some items, enemies, and a boss are more accessible/exclusive to secret seeds such as:
- Moon Lord's Legs in the Drunk world seed (05162020)
- Red's potion in Drunk world (05162020), For The Worthy*, Get fixed boi*, and CelebrationMk10* seeds
- Jungle Mimics and the Golden Slime in CelebrationMk10 and Get Fixed Boy
- Waffle's Iron weapon from Mechdusa in Get Fixed Boy.
9.) Shitty Fishing - 8:03
You can get +5 fishing power from fishing on a toilet (except for the Golden Toilet).
3:51 incorrect. The Peddler's hat can be thrown into shimmer to get a permanent buff. The Peddler's Satchel (which you showed) is what you get as a result of doing so.
I have been watching you for a while and you have never Been boring
POV: you already know all of this but still watch Chippy just in case and for terraria CEO support.
For the get fixed boi minigame I thought it was just for fun thank you for this information.
8:06 I thought the toilet was just a joke item, thanks for that info
3:53 bro threw the peddlers satchel into the shimmer to get peddlers satchel
The Torch god's favor is insane, yet so very terraria.
I didn't know about the Toilets... it would've been sooooo helpful.
Jesus Christ, I've been sitting here for the past minute or so trying to comprehend why would they make "look" a hidden mechanic of all things
I feel delayed
In my defense though, it's my first time hearing you speak / watching your clip xD
Anyway, great video. Thank you very much for it, kind sir
Oh wow this was only posted 13 minutes ago, nice. Love ya man I've pretty much watched all of your update videos as they came out.
Killing EoC and WoF in the same day makes WoF drop a vanity head item that's also a reference to another Terraria RUclipsr/Streamer.
Part of me feels like you're just trying to get us all to place toilets across our fishing spots, but I don't see any ducks
I have one world/character where I've focused pretty heavily on fishing, and all of my fishing spots have a toilet, a gnome, a work bench and a cooking pot (to make cooked fish/sashimi). Anything to help fishing power. Anything 😂
@jake_from_statefarm7209 i currently have my main fishing spot inside of an afk mob farm, this toilet is gonna add 1 more layer of "...what are you playing right now?" When people see my screen
I KNEW ALL OF THEM
EXCEPT ONEEE
I didn't know killing ladybugs increases your chance for rain
that's IT (barring exact stats like the number of blocks away from gnomes you can be, I knew about the luck buff but not the distance)
I'm proud, but that's tragic 😔
Unless i want pylons, npcs will live in closets in my mega mansion
mega prison hotel lol
the toilet increasing fishing power was something i accidentally discovered in getfixedboi lol, i was trying to get poop blocks and noticed a change in the fishing power stat. BUT that would've been something i wouldn't have figured out to even be a thing
i wish some were just implemented to the game. like the mech boss mix. just make it so we fight them during an entire day and night so we can fight them all as a challenge. and the moon lords drops are kinda trash considering you just beat everything. it feels worthless. they should make a harpy boss that drops the airstrike sword start thing that the moon lord drops
Need to bring back the top 5 series
nice to know that the new CEO is showing us all the secrets of the game
The music is boppin with this one
Chippy asking me to press the subscribe button even tho i am already subscribed:
No, I dont think i will
I knew everything except:
Angler happines
Ladybugs triggering rain
Some specific things like which seeds have which items, or what exactly is affected by luck
I think moon lord legs do spawn in zenith seed. It's just that they remain in the true surface, and thus are basically useless when you can look for them.
4:05 at first i thought he was speaking about look and i was rly surprised that it influences anything.
Well luck makes more sense.
As always, chippy giving us peak content
For anyone that wants the npc happiness to be in their vanilla game. You can use npc happiness resource pack
Our favorite CEO posted a new video. Yay :D
I read the whole wiki about fishing and didn't know the last one so please do make a video about it

A terraria simp since 2014. I didn't know a lot of these, thanks man! By the way, what are you going to do as terraria CEO? :P
The beast kart telling me which nova like which places is a big tip I hated googling cause I always forget
7:16 i got moonlord’s legs on my main world the first time i killed him but i didn’t do any special seeds, i just launched a normal world and eventually beat it then got moon lords legs
