Thanks for posting the video. I'm new to the game and have failed to complete this campaign a few times. I'm excited to learn from an experienced player and see where I've gone wrong 👍
Interesting how this 2nd campaign is approached. I remember playing it when it first hit the internal test branch. I was very much conscious of not overly "overthinking", based on over 2k in hours of play time, but to try and very much "go with it" with what was suggested to see how that flowed. Surprisingly, it worked out quite well. Overall, the second campaign was most enjoyable. It introduced me to aspects of gameplay that I had, up to that point, largely avoided. BTW - Perhaps it is your new recording software, but please consider increasing your bitrate or reducing your compression etc. When panning and moving around the quality is not that good, good compared to your previous videos. Your new PC can most certainly handle it :) Good video. Above 97% water quality, in the objectives.....that should be written to include "citizens will need a minimum of 98% water quality for drinking, to maintain their health". But, it is not necessarily a tutorial, per se. However.........
Ty for the feedback, agree with observation on how to play the campaign. Have to keep stopping myself from using mods and keep expecting happiness to collapse. The recording setting are the same, the problem is I am using DaVinci editing software, which is a big step up from the old Movie Studio software. The upside is its free, the downside is it intended for professional video editing. At the moment need tutorials to understand the tutorials, but it will be worth it in the long run. Checked the graphics setting, seems the game detected the GPU, set all the parameters to very high, this might be the cause of the lower quality when panning.
@@StephenSilverbeard I wasn't sure if you used OBS. Not that either would mean much to me. When you are static in the game the quailty is good, when panning the blockiness, I noted as too much compression or too low a bit rate, is apparent and spoils the viewing. As for the game during the campaign...... It seems most tolerant and accepting of conditions that would otherwise have very real implications when playing sandbox. Hence, just making the thought of..."just go with it" as a generalisation. 👍🏻
Use OBS for recording, at the moment having to downscale from 2K to 1080 due to Movie Studio not providing support for 2K rendering. Have changed to the downscale in OBS for one intended for live video, that might improve the panning. The long term goal is to get to 2K videos, then maybe 4K. Although the budget will not stretch to a 4K monitor for some time. :))
