- So, after like a million years, Delibird got some love in the form of a Paradox Pokemon. BUT--this form is actually the only TRUE Paradox.

It wouldn't be the first time that an Iron Bundle like Pokemon was created. Magerna, Golurk and Claydoll are Prime examples of Ancient civilizations creating Pokemon for protection (Magerna and Golurk) or by accident (Claydoll) with two modern examples being Porygon-Z and Silvally being made to combat interdimentional threats of the UBs
Perhaps Iron Bundle and Magearna came from the same place 👀
@@lumiosepost now that sounds like an interesting theory, cause Megerna is a soul of an unknown Pokemon in a proto PokeBall
I think it's possible that the iron bundle they're describing is made with primitive technology in comparison to paradox iron bundle. In all likelihood kids loved delibird so architects and engineers that could of made magernia probably made deli bird contraptions to please kids.
@@lumiosepost i dont thong these pokemon from the past or future they're from differnt dimensions
Think what you want, but the game has stated the facts of it. Its an interesting theory that I would like to hear more about, but I don't think the games would lie like that. Also, if they were Pokemon from different dimensions, there wouldn't be a time machine, and there would be more of those 'paradox' pokemon. Also, it would be much easier to access them, because of Pokemon like lunala being able to travel to different dimensions, and not use a time machine. (Correct me if I'm wrong on that part about lunala traveling through time, I know there is a Pokemon that can do it, and has done it.)
there's a very interesting dialogue If you talked to Arven for the third time in the academy after the ending, Arven is gonna talk about the Scarlet/Violet book. Arven then talks about the professors likes the book since child and that makes them wanted to become professor. Arven then came to realization that why the book (which is 200 years old) says that there is past/future pokemon when the time machine just built recently. Then, Arven came up with a simple but very important conclusion:
"Well, it's probably just made up anyway"
"And somehow my mom/dad makes it into reality"
Arven thought that the books are really just a made up story, but somehow the professors _coincidentally_ found the pokemon with the _exactly the same_ depiction that illustrates in the book.
Also the pokedex of the paradox pokemon are based on paranormal magazine "Occulture" which is a dubious magazine. If you read the book (which is scattered around the main entrance of the academy) the book will says that "the name is based on the Scarlet/Violet book" or some sort. Meaning that the dex entry are based on theory of people who write on Occulture and not the Scarlet Book, so the dex entry can't be trusted unlike with other common pokemon which has been researched properly.
I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop and confirm the paradox pokemon are simply brought to life by another legendary similar to the unown situation in the third movie where Molly made things reality just by believing it. The crystalizations remind me of it too. The Pokedex entries and designs of the paradox forms literally remind of a child's imagination come to life. I mean the iron thorns one makes me laugh. A robot sent to observe humanity. I love it.
I mean think of the name category they are in "Paradox"
@@shirokun002 LONG COMMENT WARNING: my personal theory is that it is the existence pokemon, its probably got a lot of flaws but id like to share it anyway, my theory is the giant orb is a shell that contains a reflection of existence, allowing for this pokemon to be aware of everything that does and does not exist.
On to the next point, it can manifest things from this reflection, giving the power of existence to things despite them not at all being real, so something from a book, or even just a simple thought could be brought into reality.
And to the third point, how is it still under arceus? Arceus made the pokemon world's existence, yes, but this is the manifestation of it, we know arceus likes to place the job of keeping something under watch onto pokemon, groudon for land, dialga for time, xerneas for life, etc, this being is the FIRST one, the one originally in charge of EXISTENCE, the ability to exist, but eventually arceus decided to give each thing its own general leader, rendering this thing free to observe the universe in isolation, as it was no longer needed to create things automatically for arceus, eventually, I'm sure the loneliness of residing deep beneath the ground, to where no humans, creatures, or anything would ever find you got to it, this causing for it to manifest things to live alongside of, even things that do not exist, and were just what if thoughts by humans that IT could make a reality, eventually, sparking interest in humans far above when noticing the oddity of the craters mysterious properties and creatures, they then roamed down there, obviously eventually leading up to the events of the professor encountering it, leading to the beings power being used in the machine for the professors goal by copying this pokemons reflective power, using the crystals within area zero to reflect the "time" each desired, those master balls being sent in weren't catching pokemon from the past, they were being filled with pokemon that never existed.

A time machine could interact with any time. So it could drop future or past pokemon before it was built, because time is a dimension and a time machine is design to travel in that dimension. It's why time travel is the easiest story explanation for a writer, right after "but it was all just a dream"
@@tonybrewer7536 this was my thought too. Also by scattering paradox Pokémon across paldea’s timeline the professor’s research a bootstrap paradox. Their research exist because of their research
It could also be a red herring for the DLC event since all of the paradox entries look like they were written by a child instead of a scientist
I think the future forms are basically humans trying to recreate the Pokemon that went extinct in the future.
I guess how Iron Bundle looks is how Delibird used to look in the past. Then the future people just created it after Delibird went extinct in the future to continue the lineage in some manner.
If not it could be worse, just like how the ai in the story has the professors memories. All the future paradox pokemon could of had their memories put into a metal body. The more of them that existed the more likely they would have gotten battle experience and probably dominated eco systems.
That's what I was saying.
It's an interesting theory but it doesn't make sense since iron thorns is tyranitar who the pokeddx says is completely invulnerable it can't be harmed so either toxins made them extinct or some kind of mega legendary pokemon just killed everything since tyranitar isn't a pokemon that would just die of its at the top of its food chain and being completely invulnerable makes it hard for me to believe it would just die off
I get what you mean and it makes some sense, but honestly if that was the case I would hate it. It better be an alternate dimension too because it makes the world of pokemon feel so much more dreary. The inevitability that everything people love about this magical world will die out forever. It changes pokemon from fun escapism to existential dystopia.
I agree with this, they look too artificial to be the "decendents" of modern pokemon.
My theory is that the core of the Time Machine is actually a Pokémon. It can grab part/future items (including Pokeballs with Mon in it) and move it to its current Present. That Pokémon existed before the Time Machine was built around it, and likely pulled an Iron Bundle in the past, which was found by the Ancient Civilization that found the Iron Bundle.
Alternatively, the Time Machine Core can just fabricate things based on nearby people’s imagination, and was stuck near the author of the Scarlet/Violet Book long enough to make the Mon that he thought up, and just kept making more.
I feel a similar way about the Paradox form for the legendary beasts. They were created when Ho-Oh resurrected 3 pokemon in fairly recent history, so an ancient ancestor shouldn't exist
Mabye then S/V take place a hundred years or so after Ho-Oh resurrected the beasts? (Know it doesn't make a ton of sense for Scarlet, but it would explain Toedscool and Wiglett)
Look up the definition of “Paradox”
I think we sometimes treat pokemon too much like they are real animals and don't consider how rapidly and drastically they can change in a short time. I really don't see any reason the future paradox pokemon couldn't exist if the environment they are from requires those changes for survival.
What if the space time distortions happened long ago and caused Iron Bundle to be present back then? We've witnessed "future" (at that time) pokemon, like Porygon appear in Legends of Arceus. So what if this phenomenon occurred in that set time?
I believe that the Time Machine was not used to go forward or backward I think it did at one point because a time machine shouldn’t only work One Way it should be able to bring things back and send things back to our time so an iron bundle could’ve been the only future Pokémon taken by the scarlet Time Machine, which led to it being sent back in time on accident, which, then it found itself in an ancient civilization, where it proceeded to power down aka die or something
Dimension machine that you can hop another dimension in different time era.
I have a theory that this whole game is a whole inception mind trip, everyone and everything you experience is all part of this false reality created by the professor and the third legendary. I would even go as far to say that even the glitches and bugs in the game are all part of this "reality" unraveling on itself.
Lol game freak broke the game on purpose XD
That would be an absolutely hilarious way to turn perception of the game around. Gives me Eternal Darkness flashbacks.
Okay, I'm cracking up reading this 😂
None of the paradox pokemon are from the past/future. They are all fantastical manifestations created from Sada/Turo, and Heath's imagination by the 3rd legendary.
To go one step further I think their manifestation brought to life by by the collective thoughts of people across the ages yearning to see, explore, and find what inside of the great crater of paldea
Wdym they have a time machine to bring them into the present
@@MrClodsire1 There's a theory that the paradox pokemon aren't from different times, but are just what the professor of the game imagined the paradox pokemon would be like, and the time machine is actually just manifesting that imagination. It would explain the paradox legendaries that we will probably get in the DLC, as those have also been described as what the artist imagined to live in area zero.
@@schnig01 then rip to whatever professor flew into the time machine 😂
@@MrClodsire1 true, but the machine - according to the provided information - is only capable of transferring the pokemon and possibly humans to the time it is linked to. If those pokemon are ancient, then the "portal" should lead them to the ancient times and vice versa, and the same for future in violet.
So how Heath saw paradox pokemon in the crater and then other expeditions didn't?
That hints at that there were no paradox pokemon there 200 years before the events of the game, meaning that the whole point is imagination based on Occulture magazines and book that was discredited, which also never provided any evidence (Blurry picture isn't actually evidence).
Also the machine only pulled out those pokemon that were described in the book, which is also the key for it to work. Not even one pokemon that is not in the book was shown.
Also, in the DLC we will receive Paradox Suicune and Paradox Virizion, which both are said to be only author's imagination in the book, not what they've seen.
Also worth noting - notice how paradoxical those designs are to being with. Billion years old Jigglypuff? 10 000 years old Magneton? Billions years before the events of the game all that lived were single cell organisms, and 10 000 years ago in the best case, there were no magnets.
Those pokemon and their descriptions are straight out of the "loch ness monster sightings" and "haunted hotels" level of evidence sources.
And it's funny, and I think that was the point, how GF actually choose pokemon to be even more obvious to not be ancient or futuristic.
Like from all pokemon they choose Magneton (which uses magnets) and the fungus pokemon (Brute Bonnete) with pokeball theme on his head?
And for future forms, they picked those that are relatively not futuristic, like Tyranitar or Delibird.
I also have a theory. Keep in mind I haven’t read all the comments, so I can’t say it’s original. What if the attempt of getting iron bundle from the future to the present, like how Koraidon/Miraidon were brought first into the present, failed and the supposed first that should have been iron bundle was sent to a distant past that it didn’t thrive there, therefore it died and was discovered by past humans when it was in a scrapped state, thus having evidence of iron bundle in the past.
What if Iron Bundle was made in the past but then when that ancient civilization died out.
But then in the future someone discovered an intact Iron Bundle remains that they used to recreate Iron Bundle in the future.
I don’t care if he’s from the past, future or whatever, iron bundle is may favorite pokemon and love his shiny
He’s pretty cool! And that’s not just an Ice type pun
@@lumiosepost wasn’t the first shiny I hunted odly enough, went for iron thorns first because t-tar was my favorite before i fell for bundle
Both are super cool. Understandable
Theory: the time machines can both bring pokemon too the present, but can also send them back to the past or future. Iron bundle was infact created in the future, but the future civilization also made a time machine that could send pokemon back to the past, hence the ancient pictures of iron bundle. That wasn't where he originated, just the first time in history he was seen.
I feel as if the future paradox Pokémon being brought into the present could potentially be the catalyst and inspiration for their creation at their time or speed up their creation if their existence is set in stone, ultimately simply being in the present is a major paradox
Them all being Paradox Pokémon feels like the only reason they ended up on those books(either past or future mons) is because Sada/Turo get the time machine working in our current time, while doing all their research they’re able to bring some of the Pokémon described in these books but misplace some in the time that this book was written, this inspiring Sada/Turo to do their research, the time machine is built and boom paradox
Delibird became iron man, just like almost all future versions of paradox pokemon
Wellllll, according to the story and lore, the time machine was created AFTER the book already described the future/past pokemon, but they're also seen being pulled from the future. Maybe they originally did come from somewhere else
I think we owe an applause to delibird for being able to fly while holding a gift bag
Note that ancient writings use machines RESEMBLING Iron Bundle, not the Pokémon itself. Could be some type of prototype. Also note that both past and future Pokémon are MANY long years apart from the present, maybe MILLIONS. This civilization can be a thousand years to the future from the perspective of present, and just built a prototype that millions years latter became Iron Bundle. This is the simplest explanation, it does not require a crazy theory.
Celebi and Dialga been time traveling long before the Paldean professors got to it
Could be much simpler. Like the ones that created Iron Bundle are from 10K years into the future while the ones from the entry are from 100K years in the future. To them its Ancient, but to the player its Future.
I would love to see future paradox forms of porygon, castform, and type null
Normal/Ghost Iron Digits (Porygon) Normal/Psychic Iron Forecast (Castform) and Normal/Dark Iron Abomination (Null/Sylvalli) would be cool. I can see Iron Abomination having a Dex Entry that makes it sound like it destroys humanity instead of saving it
I wonder how a Future Castform would be able to change with the weather
@@xhomiegreninjax137 could also be that it's all the forms at the same time, representating like a big catastrophe that happened in the future, like a tornado, tsunami, great drought or whatever and it gets a ton of coverage moves.
Being ghost/dark type could make it darker implying that it killed ton of people
Lmfaooo, fax, porygon would finally be a real life pokemon and not a digital pokemon🤣💀 would be cool considering after every "update" for porygon it's the ppl of pokemon trying to make it closer to a live pokemon
@@xhomiegreninjax137 Future Castform would change the weather to whatever your pokemon is weakest towards
Brute bonnet should not exist, it camouflages itself as a pokeball but it comes from an age where pokeballs did not exist. So it wouldnt make much sense that brute bonnets body would imitate an item before it was even invented. Another hint that paradox pokemon arent from the past/future
if you read Foongus's pokedex entry it says that pokeballs were created in the resemblance of Foongus, not the other way around, so Foongus predates the modern pokeball and Brute Bonnet can 100% exist
@@WatsonDynamite but the pokedex also says that it is just a theory
There's a popular theory that paradox pokemon are not really past/future forms, rather they are our imagined recreations of what we assume pokemon would look like in the past or future, and that the unnamed third legendary is responsible for bringing these creatures to life.
One evidence to support this is found in Slither Wing's entry, where it was said that fossils of Volcarona were never found in the first place.
On the concept of DNA ancestry, there has actually been no proof that past paradox forms share genetic bases with modern pokemon. In fact, paradox pokemon are all genderless so how do they even reproduce generations of lineage to reach modern forms in the first place?
I think we'll soon find out that these aren't future pokemon or past pokemon but pokemon from parallel universes.
Maybe the iron bundles that the ancient civilization created were not originally robots but were instead just statues of dellibirds that scientists in the future re-purposed into robots.
paldea is the ancient civilization. we brought iron bundles to the present so the future thinks we created it. we made a paradox by using the time machine
Doctor Eggman made the Paradox Future Pokemon
The most ambitious crossover event of the century
@@lumiosepost lolz
What if the reference to an ancient civilization was actually talking about modern-day delibird, which at the time the time machine dropped the professor off at delibirds were actually extinct. And Iron Bundles were the fossil Pokemon recreated using their future technology. Which instead of adding the rock type could possibly add the Steel type 🤔
When I catch one of these guys I'll name it Merry Chrysler.
A very fitting name
I actually have a theory about the future paradox forms of pokemon.
So, you guys remember the future iron treads right? You know that the iron treads that the violet players fought on the search of herba mystica? Well, if you remember when you played the game, professor turo had said that the one iron treads escaped from the crater of paldea. Well, I'm almost completely certain that professor Turo (not the AI) ruined the future of paldea. Well, back to the iron treads thing... When AI Turo used the time machine to escape the present, that made it so the time machine was not usable any more. That does not mean that all the future Pokemon aren't still in the present. My theory is that later in the future (not one million years though) a bunch of the future Pokemon escaped area zero, and ruined the habitats of all the present pokemon. Either making them adapt over time and become the future Pokemon ( the one I doubt the most out of the two outcomes) or after the tragic attack, most, if not all Pokemon died, and humans missed them so dearly. So dearly in fact, that they decided to try as well as they could to remake the precious pocket monsters they missed so much.
Well, that just about sums up my theory, hope you like it! :)
What if delibird has to the blueprints to iron bundle in his pouch? He was going extinct or wanted an upgrade making it the tire paradox Pokémon?
Iron Bundle is a threat in Competitive I heard! Maybe it is because it's a CyberBird kinda similar to the CyberMen of Doctor Who.
It also helps that it has 124 base SpAtk and 136 base Spe
It is. That thing is not outsped by much and hits like a truck
These entries sound like excerpts of a cryptid magazine
Because they are!
While past paradox Pokemon are ancient relatives of modern Pokemon, future paradox Pokemon are *entirely theoretical* relatives of modern Pokemon
I agree!
Okay, so look at it this way, Iron bundle is a pokemon from who knows how far into the future. If we take into consideration tha the reference to "ancient" is relative to Iron bundles time, it would still be a future civilization from the player timeline.
Take for example scream tale which dex description is "Its primitive appearance and savage nature have prompted rumors that it could be a Jigglypuff from one billion years ago. Same goes for Ironthorns, considering that its description also mention 1 billion years into the future.
These paradox pokemon could all be from 1 billion years past or present. So saying Ancient or future civilizations could be speculative based on the point of reference
I just like to imagine it was a Santa pokemon rebuilt to be a robot to dispense joy at optimum capacity but it went haywire and only brought death and destruction.
Dang it this is now my head cannon
Why is it that a time machine’s energy creates temporary type change or is it rather a machine that turns imagination into reality.
I’ve really been enjoying the theory videos!
Thank you! I’ve had a lot of fun making them for sure. It’s so hard to pick what to put up next because there’s so many I’m enjoying covering!
it doesn't actually say that they saw a depiction of iron bundle just technology resembling the system iron bundle uses. Although we see depictions if paradox pokemon in the scarlet/violet book which we know to be quite old. My personal theory is basically time machine sling shot of trying to retrieve pokemon from the future and them getting sent to far back
Future Paradox Pokemon are what you get when you put your Pokemon in a washing machine and fill it up with metal coat and leave it running for the next 3000 years.
New Donphan evolution method confirmed
3:49 what if I told you that this is area zero's code name? No, I'm not kidding.
I have a theory for that and it has some pretty solid points I believe.
Google the meaning of Time Paradox, and you’ll find the answer.
Iron Bundle was created in the future based on Delibird and was sent to the past to slightly evolve into Delibird and… you have there the Paradox: one will not exist without the other.
Remnants of team flare build iron bundle and another time machine to escape to the future. From there they killed everyone. But then they got sad because they kinda liked Pokemon after all. So they build even more iron pokemon again and lived happy ever after. :>
I think the creation of the crater of paldea is because of the time machine. Since it can travel to the far past and far future perhaps the origin is the farthest point the time machine can go to which could’ve happened if it needed outside air to catch pokemon and/or keep them in area zero (also from the violet and scarlet book somehow both futur pokemons (in violet) and past pokemons (in scarlet) lived there even before the professor was born and created the time machine so I guess area zero is like a no time zone until a little bit before the professor creates the Time Machine)
This all seems so unnecessarily complex. Why assume the past figured out time travel early when the future is much more likely to do this? Maybe the future sent technology to the past
True. Maybe the future people went to the past to save the future.
Wait.... what if violet is actually the past, and scarlet is some post apocalyptic future. Would also explain brute bonetts modern day pokemon ball aesthetic
I kinda think we could look at this by considering that the future/past need to be flipped in order put the future forms in our past and put the past forms in our future.
Future Pokémon have just evolved
It makes sense because of the delibird delivery service
People were tired of delibird being so unbelievably bad, they made a new one.
Savage
But true
Paradox pokemon = Cryptids and Urban legends
i think the 'time portals' are just ultra wormholes
U could also say the a Celebi from the future sent it back to the past on accident
I honestly think there is going to be an Underwater DLC for Scarlet and Violet.
That’d be soooo freaking cool. Give me Pokelantis
I don't see any other reason why they created an entire sound effect for going underwater when the only time you'll experience it is going over waterfalls.
@@lumiosepost they've get enough established, yet vague, lore that it would honestly fit. There's already so many water pokemon. I would also like it if Lugia was somehow involved, but I don't want to be greedy.
@@scottlocke9328 now I think about it they actually could just be creating features they intend to reuse later for bringing back the dive mechanic in a later game but who knows honestly
It's the correct Santa because santa travels the world in one night
With that speed he def could
If they saw it in drawings on cave wall, well they could have it confused with a regular ol bird.
I think something along those lines too. It might be poking fun at ancient alien theorists who see something resembling a lightbulb in hieroglyphs and go on to claim the Egyptians had lightbulbs.
Though, it could also be that Pokemon has circular history...
I think at this point it’s very clear that the paradox Pokémon aren’t from a different timeline, and simply shouldn’t exist. They’re clearly manifestations created by whatever lives in the depths of Aero Zero.
Disagree
@@trappedcosmos there’s a document you can read in the game written by the original explorers detailing a situation where one of the explorers drew a Pokémon he saw in a dream and then woke up somewhere else with no memory. Imo I think we have a situation similar to the plot of the 3rd Pokémon movie where Pokémon and locations are being created psychically
its confirmed ingame that the violet paradox mons are descendants of the current ones. They may be mechanic but turo outright says that miraidon is a descendant of cyclizar, and that he proved it by testing its DNA. Which means that the future mons do have DNA despite being metallic. A lot of people miss this detail and assume theyre all robots devoid of life
I love the paradox theories. I find them very interesting, if a bit confusing.
Literally my thoughts on paradoxes. Super strange. Super confusing. But so cool!
I dont believe theyre not from our world but from dimensions but i can till you this theyre not gonna go any deep then they did gamefreak and tpc dont like to give answers to these type of thing
Think that's partially because Jacq (he is the one behind the dex, not Sada or Turo) is unaware of their true nature. So the Pokedex relies on rumors and such.
me too. I haven't been interested in Pokemon Lore since Gen 2 before this game came out. Yeah, wanted to know how the true dragon looked like from Gen 5, but not the backstory behind it.
Or the advanced dudes in the past brought iron bundle from the future and studied it
None of the Paradox entries are to be taken seriously. The best description I can give for paradox pokemon is go watch Pokémon Spell of the Unown.
Entries from the opposite version actually has something to say compared to redundant dex entries that are basically this looks like such and such called such and such described in this book (scarlet/violet book)
I now really wonder what professor turo (Ai) is doing in the future hope we'll get more informations about his journey in the future, might not happen but it would be amazing.
1:30 what if the ghostly pterosaur is actually just missingno and it’s aerodactyl form?
The origin of the paradox pokemon is a paradox in it self
In game info contradict it's self which is cool because that a paradox if both accounts are true
Iron bundle is the true villain of the Pokemon world
With that special attack and speed, it really is 😨
No one is talking about how the future paradox pokemon could literally be from a boot strap paradox stories about them from the past(pokemon present) so people created them turo brought them to the current time people saw them the stories in the future caused them to make them & repeat ad infinitum
Also iron bundle could have been in a legends arcues situation like another pokemon line that should be retroactively considered a paradox pokemon the porygon line
I have a theory it was aliens that created the device for paradox Pokémon
The ancient paradox pokémon could be mega evolutions
The thing is, the Scarlet / Violet book who already has descriptions and pictures of these Pokemon was already made BEFORE the professor created the time machine. So when the professor created the time machine, that was actually (at least) the 2nd time these pokemon were discovered, not the first time. Which doesnt seem to make much sense to begin with. Now you could try to argue that, maybe, the time machine was less precise than it appeared to be and maybe created more than just one rupture in time, not only connecting the present to the past / future, but also to the "not as far away" past. So, whatever happened exactly, we at least know that the paradox forms existed at some point within human history (the whole expedition story that lead to the scarlet / violet book was somewhere about 200 years ago, iIrc (history lessons in the academy talk about that), and this is true for Scarlet AND Violet, which means its part of the lore in Violet that the FUTURE forms were discovered in the past already. Which means that the Future time machine might have warped some future forms further to the past and not just to the present. Thus, Iron Bundle could also have been warped to that "ancient civilization".
However, there is yet another big flaw if we consider this a possibility: It was the Scarlet / Violet book that inspired the professor to create the time machine to begin with. Without the book, no time machine. Without a time machine, no way for the paradox mons to appear in recent human history. Without the appearence of paradox forms in recent human history, no book. And without the book, no time machine.
No flaw actually, seems like a perfect description of a paradox.
I think there is one "paradox Pokemon" that might be even more interesting. And said Pokemon is in the Scarlet Book if I recall correctly and might tie into Gen 2 lore, the only one I liked the most before Gen 9 came out. I made a video about it with godawful audio which is currently the lastest video on my channel.
Maybe the Pokédex meant the present when it said ancient past, since relatively speaking, the ancient past FOR the future is the present. Maybe the entry was based on something found on Iron Bundle itself. It could have just said the design was inspired by an “ancient delibird” which is just our delibird and the “ancient civilization” is just the present civilization.
fun fact : neither of the other Paradoxes exists in the past or future...they just appear out of nowhere
Did anyone else besides me think that Eggman from sonic took over Pokemon?
I mean... they ARE called PARADOX pokemon... what is something from the future that should have been from the past if not the very definition of a paradox? Iron Bundle is the truest to the idea of a Paradox Pokemon.
The ancient Civilization thing might be poking fun at ancient alien theorists. The whole giant light bulb in hieroglyphs thing.
I think Paradox Pokémon are not from past/future actually being from parallel dimensions like a Cyberpunk dimension and a No Human dimension, that's may explain why they can't breed like Ultra Beasts because they are not from here
In the anime there is literally a lost civilization lost to the sea it was in the manaphy movie
Wonder if they worked with team rocket on Mewtwo. Then expanded the work in this area. Creating the mechanical mon.
I just assumed that the future paradox pokemon evolved in a way that their bodies became metal like since they aren’t actually steel types.
The machines is not going into the past or future to catch pokémon, it is creating pokémon from imagination.
paradox Pokémon, dream up eldritch beings because how that Pokémon with drawings of them before the time-machine? third legendary can bend reality
It fascinates me on how the overall story of Pokemon has gone from "Scientists try to create the worlds strongest Pokemon with the evils of the world wanting it" to "Time, Space and Reality are being threatened by manmade horrors or corrupt business CEOs"
Or maybe the third legendary can show glimpses of the future and past to those staring at it. Tying it with the past and future theme.
@@gustavju4686 no fossil of slither wing said in it's entry
OR they're from the future, but they themselves are capable of time travel. It's only believed they were created by an ancient advanced civilization, but they could have just been observed.
Miraidon shares DNA with Cyclizar so its very possible theyre biomechanical by nature and not just completely mechanical
Its also possible theyre just not from the future because Pokemon like Iron Treads was spotted before the machine was even built.
So case in point we dont have all the details. For some reason these pokemon were here before anything could bring them here. Pokemon Lore is getting super wild
Maybe 3 mins into the video the video I was like ohhh do kinda like a magearna thing
Those paradox pokemon are trippy and gnarly looking. They are super cool!
"Ope", dude, you are SO Midwestern in your talk. XD That's totally cool! So am I. I had to be clued into the fact a year or so ago that I actually said that word as much as everyone else. Never noticed. XD
Am I? That’s wild! I’m actually from the Southeast! I was born in NC and raised in SC-no longer live in that state but that’s where I was until a year ago!
@@lumiosepost It has spread in recent years. 😆
Don’t think that lock ness monster is real but there are no snakes in Scotland
There’s the Scottish adder-the only Scottish snake iirc! But either way-just an example. I mean I imagine they didn’t see a plesiosaur!
@@lumiosepost I didn’t know about the Scottish adder so that is cool.
Just want to say this is probably my favourite scarlet and violet “theory?” video
Thank you! I appreciate it!
i think its pokedex says that because they're travelling to a future so far ahead that many ancient civilizations would have come and gone by then. The time that the paradox pokemon come from are at the beginning and end of the pokemon worlds time.
Fun theory what if the pokemon went extinct and a scientist couldn’t live without a pokemon so the hydragon gave it motivation to make artificial pokemon and that how we got the robotic pokemon
Wouldn't it make more sense that the future returned to the past thereby making the advanced civilization but the past has past Pokemon that wrecked havoc on there civilization because in the future pokemon are more docile or even diseases from the past and not having a resistance to them because they work extinct for several million years now
Why couldn't it be simpler? Maybe the ancient civilization just made blueprints but were never able to make it work, and people of the future found those and build it?
Or, to get timewimy maybe the Pokedex entry is somehow from the future and this past civilization is the current pokemon world. The future according to this game seems fairly bleak, so why no add another level to it?
Occams Razor, the Pokédex isn’t 100% accurate as it’s written by the Teacher.
So he’s writing what he THINKS is right, and it’s actually wrong.
The Iron pokemon can also eat sandwiches.
Isn’t that all that matters
@@lumiosepost just thought I point out how these pokemon might still be somewhat organic, like a cyborg. Then again, Genosect and Golurk can eat food so I guess I have no idea what I am even talking about.
No, no, I see what you mean. That’s honestly a great point. It’s proof of a living component in them. And not like the battery life kind, but the organism life kind
Orrrrr the point in time these Pokémon are getting pulled from is just so far in the future that even that futures “ancient civilization” while being their past, is still in the future of the Pokémon world.
So you’d look at it like
Present time

(Present future) Ancient civilization (futures past)

Future Pokémon
maybe iron bundle was discovered in the future and is the inspiration for building the other paradox pokemon
If this is true, it would be somewhat disappointing. 😅
The future just turn Delibird, this trash of a Pokémon (battle wise), into a stronger and more reliable cyborg creature. Only to be all “or is it ?” or it shouldn’t exist. 😅
ill just say this right now, not you or anyone, not even the pokemon company can convince me that these future forms 'descended' from current day pokemon
thats stupid, its dumb, pokemon evolve into pokemon, not robots
with that said i think a good explanation for why these robot pokemon exist can be because humans, us, wiping the pokemon species out, then finding a way to bring them back
delibird would make sense as penguins are losing their homes due to global warming
but most of the other pokemon chosen would not really fit this bill which sucks because this could have been an easy explanation, and a good one that relates to real world problems
What i wish had happened was that the future pokemon were also fleshy real pokemon, just like the past forms
delibird for example would be easy, after losing their habitat to global warming, they adapted to live permanently in the ocean, becoming ice and water type
donphan, another endangered animal in the real world, could have evolved to lose their tusks as humans hunted them
something like this that has real world evolutionary basis and not just 'oh everything in the future are robots' i think its lazy as hell
