Just picked up my UDR yesterday!!! Wow what a beast! seeing it on the internet does not do it justice! I am very impressed with the amount of detail put into this vehicle. I can't wait to dive in!
Once you open that box. Kaboom! It hits you how good looking that Rig looks. Then you take it out the box. Kaboom! You see how much of a beast it is. Lol!
@@LuisLPRCs no doubt bro wow what a fantastic piece of equipment! I can't wait to start! You really inspired me to do the detail work and spend the time I probably won't get a run out of her for at least a month or two. But it's cool I'm looking forward to tearing her apart regreasing.
Hey man that’s really cool! Just stumbled on your channel, absolutely loved the detail scale painting! I’ve used oil sharpie before, but never thought of this. What a great idea. I’ll be checking out the rest of your content. Keep having fun and posting it. Just got my UDR yesterday, blue one. And these details are a must! Can’t wait to get out to an open field.
Looks awesome! Great work! I would have never have thought of using paint markers. I recently found a brand new but not functional UDR, (no motor or electronics) so I'm gonna do a build up just for display purposes.
That's badass dude! You just sealed the deal for me !!I'm definitely going to pick one up this week I just didn't want to drop 700 but that's pimp ,definitely well worth it. Great video bro keep it up I'm going to start posting when I get mine. Definitely going to tear it down before I even run a battery through it. Steel driveshaft aluminum trailing arms things like that
Thanks, Its a really good vehicle. But remember its not a basher. This vehicle is ment to go fast on dirt and small jumps. You cant jump it 40 feet in the air lol!
Exactly! Thats why you see alot of people breaking it fast. This is not a Xmaxx people lmao! This is a scale truck. Thats why when I upgraded it and painted it I kept it scale to look more like the real thing.
@@LuisLPRCs did you drill your two holes in each tire to allow the sand and water to get out a lot of people aren't doing that and it's burning up Motors and rear ends
@@LuisLPRCs sand gets in there too bro it's not just from the holes.. it's really recommended you'll end up burning something up and they won't replace it under warranty
UDR looking real scale the painting takes time I’ve done some tires before need time and patience lol truck looking good be looking forward to the new body
I thought you were talking about the Xmaxx lmao! im blind! Yeah I did alot of work to my UDR. Took me a week to paint it. Its a very slow process but worth it.
Also I’ve watched a cpl vids on that all machined aluminum rear axel housing and so far zero negatives for fit n finish and while running. Can’t wait to order my udr and all the aftermarket parts.
Dude!!! Friken awesome but if you want your orange to pop paint it white first then paint it Orange. Not being negative about what you did just a little hint✌🤟👍👍👍
Thanks! The lights make it look lighter when I'm recording. The orange pops but I was not going for that super orange look like the Fox Body orange. It's hard to show it off on camera.
Great job 👍🏿 just got my Fox body UDR this morning. If you like it on 6s put a 34 pinion on the motor😈👍🏿💪🏿 I have another body for mine as well, painting it black w/metallic flakes and extra Fox body stickers, so black w/hits of orange stickers and parts...swing arms, shock sports, etc. Should look good.
P8ntballa Thanks! Your body sounds cool. I have something cool for my body thats being made, but cant say lol! I hope my video gave you ideas to customize your UDR.
I think we all did the painting before we all ran ours, the traxxas udr owners group on Facebook lots of good ideas n that what guys r doing with there’s, looks good but after a couple runs it won’t look so pretty, lol mine didn’t
Don't want it look pretty like that. I want that used look when it comes to the plastic parts I painted. The plastics are pretty well protected. The tires are a different story lol!
Luis L.P. RC's ya just when u wash it off just gotta be careful n it will last longer minor touch ups, but it was fun detailing those parts, I thought it was, like a 3d coloring book! Lol
Hey bro do you know who makes the best stainless steel replacement screw kit for the UDR?? I use Dynamite with my slash and I was very happy with them but it doesn't look like they make one yet for the UDR
@@LuisLPRCs I saw that on there but I don't know if I like the fact that they have some Phillips head screws inside that set. They mentioned that in the description but I haven't broken my UDR open yet to see if it has any phillips-head screws in it
@@rcbullshit7859 If you order them on Ebay make sure its spelled with a Z at the end. China sells them using the same packaging but spells it with a S at the end.

Great job man! You inspired me to paint mine now. It looks so sweet with that color added.
Im glad you got inspired just like I did to paint it. Go for it! Put your own style into it. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Nice job. Thanks for the ideas also !

Thanks, took me like a week to do. The wheels where very time consuming.
Great job. Looks fantastic 👍👍

Thanks, much easier to paint small parts.
THX for this vid! You inspired me alot on styling my UDR. I did actually made the white lining on the tyres/letters. It looks nice!
Thanks, and your welcome.👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks Man! It's getting there lol!
Luis L.P. RC's you're welcome
UDR looking real scale the painting takes time I’ve done some tires before need time and patience lol truck looking good be looking forward to the new body
I was going to do the white outline on the tires, but that takes so long and I know it's hard to paint without messing up.
Luis L.P. RC's I did my land grippers for my xmaxx took out for a bash session paint was gone from side walls lol but looked good for a while
That's another reason sidewall wont last, but inside will last longer. Also you can touch them up here and there.
Nice work!
Sick beats bro. And nice vid too! Keep being awesome
Thanks!
Great job man. Damn. Some detail!
Thanks Im backed up with builds. It was the Xmaxx turn. lol!

I was thinking of getting the rear axle when it first came out, but it's to heavy. Also it depends how your going to run it.

Great looking UDR! Gona paint the cooling fans to and the fuelcell?
Thanks, I did more painting since this video.

Ha Ha Ha it felt like a tiny coloring book. It was a pain. Well the paint is water proof, but we will see lol!
Looks good . Shelf it on display lol. This truck is so pretty i almost dont want to drive mine,, almost.
pencil sharpie blue and red for the tire ??
Yes
Look sick !!
Thanks
nice1 looks good !
Can you take the parts off the truck or did you have to paint them on the truck
You have to take them off. It's much easier that way. it's really not hard at all to take them off.
Luis L.P. RC's ok cool thanks
