In the 80’s that’s how we did renter friendly wallpaper with our choice of flat sheets. We Just starched those suckers and applied to walls and let dry. Laura Ashley printed sheets were the thing then. They pulled right off whenn time to move. Just washed them and they were ready to apply at next house. I did wash walls down with soapy warm water before we left apt.
I am a professional at renovations and I’ve watched about 5 of ur vids so far. I must say, u do a great job! The fact that this is all removable without damaging the property is worth more than the actual work! Keep up the great work Dalia🫶🏼
Omg the renter friendly option is genius! Also, this collab was both our first time using power tools and I'm so happy someone else felt the same trepidation as I did. The final result is lovely 💕
Oh my gosh thanks so much!!! I just watched your video and your power tools usage was next level (meanwhile I was so excited with my 1 cut with the saw hahah)! So impressed with your shelf drawer and slat wall - they look fantastic 💕
What a transformation!! The little cabinet is the icing on the cake! Your staging items all look so perfectly co-ordinated and with out being over done. Kudos to you for finding renter friendly diy's that rock!!!
Wow! Get out of my brain I literally had this idea not long ago and wondered if I should try it but I was too hesitant because I hadn't seen it done before. Thanks for giving me more confidence to try it. Hopefully I can get the materials & try soon!
Hahah yay that's amazing!!! Looks like we think alike 😉. I had been thinking of it and just like you was like hmmm is this going to work right 😂?! So happy it does!
Love this idea! It came out so good, Dalia! 😍 I have always wanted to try paintable wallpaper, was actually considering it for my bedroom 🙈 So this video has given me confidence to do it one day 🙏🏼
Yes girl!! Do it! Funny - this wallpaper isn't actually 'paintable' so I didn't know for sure whether you could paint it (was worried tbh) but you totally can! So a hack in itself 😬. The paintable stuff I found was a bit too thick and paper like so I was concerned it would be too evident on the edges for this use 😆.
@@DIYDaliaI know this is TWO years later, so the odds of you even "Seeing" this more/less "Answering" me; however, I'm Positive that I won't get an answer if I don't Ask it in the first place😜🤪🤭🤭. But I'm super curious as to why you didn't just get the wallpaper in your chosen color, to begin with, instead of putting yourself through all of that extra work? Or should I say "Contact Paper" instead of wallpaper, so I guess my question Really is: "Why didn't you use contact paper in the color of your choice instead of doing all of the extra work that This route took?"🤔🤔🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🥰🥰🥰🥰
I saw painted headboards for the bedroom. It’s a painted half circle. So I figured I’d buy sticker paper and make a half circle with that! I was looking for a video to guide snd this was perfect! I’m using cork sheet with a sticker back to add a natural color to my room
Hey dalia, thanks so much for this beautiful diy . I wanted to do an accent wall using stencils with Moroccan theme . So far the glue and the wallpaper holding up next will be plaster of Paris and paint . Fingers crossed. Million thanks again.
Gonna use this technique on a vocal booth I constructed so I can reuse the drywall when I move instead of taping the drywall because I won’t be able to deconstruct it as easily if I do that. Thanks for sharing the great technique
Everything I have been hoping for in my new apartment, has been hacked in a renter friendly and cost saving way by you, girl!!!! This was fire!!!! Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks woooohoooo cannot wait to try this too. Ciao!
Love the color choice! I love this channel bc the DIYs aren’t intimidating. You create fun projects that I actually complete. My bedroom is in need of a night stand, I really want to use a vintage suitcase or something different. Hint, hint 😋
We’re picking colors right now to start a kitchen renovation and IM SO EXCITED!!!!!! I can have my wallpaper now, my husband isn’t sold but I’m about to send him this video!! You’re the greatest and SO talented. Girl’s got some power tools! Nothing can stop you now 😊❤️😊
wow that was so smart how you made it renter friendly !! where did you get the tall pampas grass that you placed in the huge vase? I am looking for similar ones plss
Love what you did to the wall. Love the color too. Did you know you can use the same method with fabric? Starch + fabric = wall. I'm a newbie to your channel. Catching up by watching all your videos. From Ohio, USA. tfs
I have been thinking of doing something like this for years. My research saw me to an item called Tempaper which is temp wallpaper you can paint on, except its friggin $$! The idea of using regular wallpaper felt just as risky as just painting right on the wall and then painting over it. It looks great though. I think its worth a try. Thanks
Hahah I've looked into temp wallpaper at least once a year for the past 6 years and every time I conclude it's too expensive 😆. According to the interwebs as long as you use non-pasted wallpaper with the liquid starch it should be fine to remove (any starch residue can be removed with warm water and a bit of soap). But this is obviously my first time doing it and I haven't removed it yet... But what I find comforting is some people have commented on this video saying that back in the 80's this is how renters would put up wallpaper and it removes perfectly.. so fingers crossed 😆❤️

This is now the second that I've watched and let me tell you, a number of your DIYs I have either done, too, or have been thinking about doing but couldn't find any information for online. I knew I couldn't be the only one with some of these ideas! 😆 Thank you for using your creativity and sharing your experiences so I/we now have a better jumping off point for when we try ourselves! 🤙🏾

Really appreciate your comment!! Makes me feel more at ease that the interwebs weren't lying to me and this is in fact renter friendly! ❤️❤️
@@DIYDalia I'm curious...would you use this approach again or would you use peel and stick in the future?

It looks absolutely stunning. I would love to do this, but l have popcorn walls and not sure it would work. Love the colour also.
You have given me ideas.....do you think contact wall paper would work?
I love it!!!! You never cease to amaze me with your diy's. How much raffia did you need to complete the cabinet?
Does any one know which specific pattern/style that is of the Superfresco wallpaper?
Cute socks!
Heh thank you! Was waiting for someone to notice 😆😆❤️
Love it!!
this is so smart ahhhh!
Very impressive! I created a "5D" (interior design, Android) for my living room. Know I can creat it as a rental!
Awesome. Where did u get the fluffy pampas grass? I can't find a genuine source yet that is not very expensive.
Well I quickly subscribed and hopefully sometime you will show a apartment bathroom makeover.
Love It, good job girl.
Thank you so much! ✨

Nice idea👍❤️
Put a mirror on the cupboard, arched would look so good

Also what is the brand of tools used?
Love it❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! 💕
What is the color and brand of the spray paint you use?
Awesome 😍

Would this work with just regular removable wallpaper?
Where did you get the fake pothos from? I wish I had space to make this :)
