But does the Wolverine have the same density as the Elite Series 2? When I threw my Elite Series 2 at the TV recently, it shattered the TV, but the controller survived (except one back button is still missing). What would have happened had I had a Wolverine, instead?
the wolverines are very solid. i’ve had mine for 7 years and it has gotten a lot of use over time and is showing its age after being slammed and thrown a hundred times and the only thing broken is a paddle
C'mon man, this is not serious, Elite 2 is old shit, it can't be compared even with Razer W3, no tactile switch buttons, stick-drift issues, less additional buttons quantity, etc., etc., etc. When Elite 3 will come out we will see, but now this gamepad is outdated.
@@Psychotoxic86 for sure the Elite needs an upgrade, especially when it come to the reliability issues. But there is no denying that it is still one of the most popular Xbox Pro controllers out there. So I felt it was a nice idea for a comparison video . Thanks for watching btw !
@@Gavlaaar88 I dont know about it, espessialy after a bunch of new era controllers like: Apex 4, Vader 4PRo, Tarantula Pro, Beitong Zeus 2 even Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra, etc. I even don't want to play on this gamepad anymore. But, of course, thank you for the video!
@@Psychotoxic86bro the elite 2 is still easily top 5 arguably top 3, It still is the most comfortable, has the best features, 4 paddles, trigger stops, software tuning options, first party support, wireless, magnetic parts, joystick tensioner & still has one of the lowest latency button response times and it's not even 1000hz, even has 1000 resolution potentiometer sticks so it's already more accurate than 95% of the market, oh yeah and a massive battery and charging dock/case. You're delusional to think otherwise.
owned 2 Elite Series 2 Controllers and had a Wolverine V2 Pro for trying out back then, which i didnt like. The overall feel of the Elite 2 is so good and for me unmatched in every controller i tried so far, but they get faulty buttons and paddles so quick and the joysticks on one of my controllers were also very unreliable. Also on my last Elite 2 the upper shell was faulty and had a waaay bigger clearance on one side which led to a hairline crack besides the left stick and the rubber grip to peel off on its own due to the higher pressure on that side (my guess). i now own a Flydigi Vader 4 Pro since a few days, and if this Controller lasts in case of durability, then it is the best controller for me i've ever used.
@ my warranty doesn’t end till 2026 so I’m just gonna replace it till then and wait if they’ll make a series 3 cause it’s shame I do love the series 2 just them fecking buttons 🫣
The worst part of the elite controller is the weight of the stick when you let go it wobbles I know the metal feels like quality but it’s not functional, you can get use to it, but it feels like a handicap
after years of using the elite 1 and 2 the v3 is just better only things missing is no button for swapping profiles and the thumbstick not having editable tensions not having all the button actions the elite 2 has
i have Wolverine v1 and have put thousands of hours on it over the course of 7 years! Controller still functions like brand new minus mine taking an awkward fall and breaking one of my back paddles… definitely more reliable than the elites.
I just got the v3 recently (the pro version) and I also have had the elite controller for about a year now. I like the V3 much better due to the button and how it feels, much lighter and more comfortable to hold (personal preference) than the elite 2. I came to despise the Elite 2 controller because it was my 2nd Xbox controller and all of the box controllers I had, they all have issues. The Elite 2 that I have right now has RB a lot less responsive (sometimes doesn't even input the command). Hopefully the V3 won't have any of those issues.
The elite series are all known to have bumper issues along with right joystick stick drift. I had one and loves it until it failed a year later. I just ordered this v3 - had a victrix gambit and loved it but thought I’d switch it up
@ yeah I’d highly recommend it. I got the wired, works unreal. The mouse click buttons are really nice and the analog tech is top tier. I can play full linear 0 deadzone on any game and 0 drift.
I own both the MS Xbox Elite Series 1 & Elite Series 2. The original one lasted so damn long and eventually failed on me (the right & left bumpers, the issue with the switches and the USB port failed) This lasted a very long time. Then i got the Elite series 2 in Oct 2022. the Bumpers and the back paddle switches have already started failing after extensive use (Oct 2024) I was hoping the elite series 2 was going to last much longer, but it has failed. I may eventually try and repair it again once more using isopropyl. but I'm defaulting to the Wolverine v3 Pro for now.
for the times when you're playing a game where you're not using the back buttons does the razer get uncomfortable or it feels weird resting your hands on the back buttons without ever using them? or is it easy to get used to? What I like on the xbox is that you can just remove the back buttons when you dont want to use them but you cant remove it on the razer.
@@aaym2224 hey ! You definitely know your hands are sitting on paddles at all times , it’s not uncomfy, but as I mentioned in the review the Elite is the better fit in hand ( in terms of comfort ) so if the paddles on the elite tended to annoy you when not in use , these certainly will too.
I own both these controllers. I really do like the new V3 TE but some negatives would be their app for xbox needs more work, you cannot customize the face buttons or even bumpers in the app, the controller isn't as comfortable to hold for long sessions (6hrs+) as the Elite. When will we get the Elite Series 3?
Elite series 2 more well rounded... I used both extensively and tbh: I see no way past the Wolverine v3 for the elite series 2. All those gimmicks are pointless, when it comes to gaming and usability. Even in pricing the currently app. 50 US$ difference are imho a no-brainer for the Wolverine V3 Pro. Why? The durability of the Wolverine V3 Pro is obviously way past the elite series 2.
Have 2x elite series 2 and ive sent them back over 30 times on the 1 years warranty half had stick drift from the box other half bumpers stuck face buttons not responding the whole face and bumper buttons randomly turing off the paddle programs resetting to deafaul the grip peeling off,the list goes on cant remember half or it, ive just retired them to playing single player games
Wow….my Elite 2 is also a lemon. It’s literally in the mail back to El Paso for the 4th time. First 2 times the back buttons stopped working. Now stick drift issues. Elite 2 is a total piece of junk. Did you get this wolverine one?
I own both and the Wolverine v3 TE is the better option for me. I play on PC and enable the 1000hz polling rate and it simply feels so much more responsive than the Elite Series 2. The Elite Series 2 feels worse input latency-wise than the stock Dualshock 4 and Dual Sense controllers (I own all of these). I regret purchasing the Elite Series 2 overall. The only thing it has going for it is that it's wireless compared to the Wolverine TE, but even then there's the Pro version that is wireless.
