Its the first time out of the few cloud gaming services that I've tried that has convinced me that its definitely worth it and do indeed have the tech in order to make it happen. The advantage of having a removable rechargeable battery is the ease of hot swapping unlike the PlayStation where if the controller is dead you’re fd in the water
Having removable batteries is a benefit, a huge benefit. A console generation is like pushing 10 years and people still use them way way beyond that. My PS3 controllers from 2006 or w.e still work but last barely any time at all. My XB360 controllers not only still work perfectly and last as long as they always have, they actually last longer due to new battery tech, also they can be turned into wired super easily as well. AND they still feel more premium and less hollow than ps3 controllers. lol
Not having rechargeable batteries is a huge selling point for me. When my battery is dead, I swap for another pack really quick instead of waiting for a charge or swapping to a whole new controller. Also, the batteries in my PS3 & PS4 controllers have permanently died and require me to take them apart and buy new batteries compared to a hot swap for Xbox.
I've always felt like the adaptive controller is a bit over priced for what it is. $100 for the deck(i guess is what you could call it) and then who knows how much per "button". You cant find them anywhere anymore. Lowest i found was another $100 on sites that are sold out. So now someone who doesnt have the motor skills is already hindered and has to pay at least double the price if they can even get all the button accessories.
Hey Austin, are you going to the vintage computer festival, it’s is going to be in the city of Orange in Orange County VCF So Cal it would probably be some awesome content seeing vintage computers and they will also have some for sale. I don’t know how much you like vintage stuff but you’ll never know what you’ll find.
The best part about the Xbox controller is we don't have to throw it away or spend tons of money when the battery inside goes dead all we have to do is go buy more batteries you can even better rechargeable once
I've had that headset for about a year now and the plastic on the mic housing break over time. It's a factory defect that Microsoft hasn't really addressed. Many other people have this issue as well.
The Xbox controller does support AA for both 21700 and 18650 type battery.. both has bigger capacity than most built in controller battery.. plus they can be rechargeable..
They have clarified stating its just certain software, its not them getting out of the gaming space or even out of console space, just allowing games to be on other platforms, and even that will be limited. Completely different than something like Sega did
Gutted you could test out the adaptive controller but you also missed its big use case which is being an accessible controller for people with limited mobility! It’s a great piece of kit
I actually bought two third party rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for my Series X controllers. The batteries last a long time before they need a recharge, and it's convenient that they recharge directly from the console than from a separate power unit.
I would love to see a vid on the ultimate Xbox series s traveling system set up. I use one while traveling to other states for work and store it all in a pelican case with a traveling monitor (ROG xg16ahpe), but would love to see how you set one up.
Hey, I would prefer the option of AA's and the rechargeable vs only rechargeable. It's ONLY 24.99 vs a ps controller with a dead battery, then you're buying a whole new one.
I use the Razer Turret for my home theater on PC, and it’s fantastic!! Love that you used it here and gave your honest review lmfaoo also it has a magnetic spot for the mouse to sit in the top right it’s strong asf on mine, holds the mouse in place for storage or moving around.
I don’t understand all the hate for removable batteries. I appreciate it. With as much as I play, normally rechargeable batteries would have gone bad and need to be replaced.
I did something similar after a decade break from gaming only to come back and not one game is finished, everything worth having is behind a pay wall and it's no longer worth the time money or enjoyable anymore 😂 If you can avoid the FOMO you can get games for their real price when they go on sale at 85% too

say what you will about having to buy a rechargeable battery for the xbox controllers but ive had the same play and charge kit battery since the xbox 360 and it still lasts longer than my ps5 controller built in battery
I know I’m late to commenting on this video, but right of the bat he starts with the portable battery. Batteries or in this case the Play and Charge Kit is still the better option. What do I do when my built in battery dies? I have to replace the controller. Sucks.
I don't agree with you on the rechargeable battery thing. The problem is that once the battery in that PS3/4/5 dies, the whole controller is busted. Having the replaceable battery ensures a longer life span for the controller... assuming everything else on it works.

Recycle the plastic, so that it can become a toilet seat in a taco bell on the side of the highway. And that's it. You're console has never been better, or more useful. You are doing yourself, and society a favor. Now go buy a Playstation or a Nintendo and become a real gamer. Because that's where all the great games are. Plus due to recent events, you can easily play what used to be xbox exclusives. All 3 of them.....
@@tyzilla358although if you do get a switch, also get a ps4 or a ps5, cuz the switch is a horrible main console
@@tyzilla358 damn, you ps5 players really are cringe

Its been a second since I've watched your channel again and got to say, I know something has changed be it format, presentation, quality has always been there, but something that just feels more grounded and the jokes are landing really good lol Love this newer version and hopefully we get to see more of this mellow-fun Austin. Cheers
Oh and as for the cloud gaming, I highly recommend the GeForce Experience, its literally night and day difference. I bought the annual pass since I knew that the free hour pass was gonna get old real quick and glad I did. I honestly can say its like a 1-to-1 experience in terms of you feeling like you have the actual console in your living room. Its the first time out of the few cloud gaming services that I've tried that has convinced me that its definitely worth it and do indeed have the tech in order to make it happen. Definitely a 4.5 out of 5, the only downside if you can see any is the array of games it has is vast but still missing the lesser known games that usually aren't the big talker in gaming channels.
This video couldn’t come at a more hilarious time
The editor probably took the xbox codes while editing
An Austin video makes it a perfect sunday!
4:27 that's because it shows the amount of storage in tibibytes but shows the terrabyte symbol, 1 tibibyte = 1024 gigabytes/1.024 terrabytes, i heard this in a video talking about why the amount of storage you get shown isn't the same as the amount of storage that gets advertized.
AND they still feel more premium and less hollow than ps3 controllers. lol
The Xbox Offical headset is really nice! Yet I upgraded to the Steelseries Acrtica Nova Pro Wireless when it came out! Love both of them.❤
You have better headphones now. I promise.
Just a heads up you can use most mouse and keyboards on the series x and s as long as it’s designed for windows you should be good
2025 anyone?
Yep me

Hey I was wondering if you were going to be able to make a Nintendo version of this video like you did for PlayStation
sometimes you don't know if he's actually advertising stuff or just straight up mocking them :)
Have you looked at the reload bonuses They seem perfect for keeping the game going after the initial play
I still feel like removeable batteries are far better than rechargeable. You don't have to worry about a controller that explodes over time.
I agree and you can swap the rechargeble batterys if it goes bad ,on playstastion you have to buy a new controller
Agreed
@@Fantomzip No you don't just open up the controller and replace the battery which easier than you would imagine.
@@Fantomzip Its easy to swap battery on ps3 controller, but i haven't opened ps4's yet :D
bros js here to yap abt how play station is so much better
You missed the premise of the turret. It's for LAP COUCH gaming 😅but yeah it is old now. Needs a refresh.
Exactly….. I have one and it’s a LOT more useful than he really makes it out to be. Using it on Windows is great.
I just need good exclusive games and we are good to go
Hey Austin, are you going to the vintage computer festival, it’s is going to be in the city of Orange in Orange County VCF So Cal it would probably be some awesome content seeing vintage computers and they will also have some for sale. I don’t know how much you like vintage stuff but you’ll never know what you’ll find.
I’ll check it out, thanks for heads up
I was gonna ask do an Ultimate PS5 but he already done it. Guess he beat me to the punch.
petition for austin to make a new toaster review channel . 👇 .
The best part about the Xbox controller is we don't have to throw it away or spend tons of money when the battery inside goes dead all we have to do is go buy more batteries you can even better rechargeable once
The PS3 did have a rechargeable battery, but how many of those still have the oem battery in them nowadays.
Yep a charge and play kit. That if your battery starts to loose charge you can buy another one without breaking it open
I've had that headset for about a year now and the plastic on the mic housing break over time. It's a factory defect that Microsoft hasn't really addressed. Many other people have this issue as well.
I'm disappointed in you Austin. Easily removable and replaceable batteries are the more consumer friendly option and should be praised not ridiculed.
14:07 Austin cringing at the price of the razer kbm for Xbox sent me 🤣🤣🤣
"Hii guys, this is Austin"
You beat me to it😂
That’s a great idea! Betting is always more fun with friends around, and those bonuses for referring them seem pretty generous.
Third, Just like Xbox's ranking in modern consoles
and so? most selled = better?

Do you all play on Xbox or Playstation
I play both and like xbox more
The Xbox controller does support AA for both 21700 and 18650 type battery.. both has bigger capacity than most built in controller battery.. plus they can be rechargeable..
The ultimate Xbox setup? isn't that just a PS5..? :)
Real
Ha ha ha 😒
This is definitely my favorite wrestlemania of all time
bad timing of this video with xbox going third party on thursday 😂😂😂
They have clarified stating its just certain software, its not them getting out of the gaming space or even out of console space, just allowing games to be on other platforms, and even that will be limited. Completely different than something like Sega did
Gutted you could test out the adaptive controller but you also missed its big use case which is being an accessible controller for people with limited mobility! It’s a great piece of kit
I actually bought two third party rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for my Series X controllers. The batteries last a long time before they need a recharge, and it's convenient that they recharge directly from the console than from a separate power unit.
xbox having removable batteries is 100% better than it having rechargeable by default.
20:08 if you'd like the size of that the Neo pocket S is way more powerful.
I'm thinking of using it to bet on the cricket matches. There's a big game coming up, and that extra bonus could really come in handy
He watched the dancing piglets with panda bear tummies in the swimming pool.
$20 for those thumb stick things is crazy. I got a generic set for about $5 and they’re nice
I did something similar after a decade break from gaming only to come back and not one game is finished, everything worth having is behind a pay wall and it's no longer worth the time money or enjoyable anymore 😂
If you can avoid the FOMO you can get games for their real price when they go on sale at 85% too
austin tweaking forza 5 and cod mw3 don’t even take up half of my 1tb series x. they’re large games but they don’t take up the entire storage. plus i can make cod even smaller if i manage and delete items i don’t play. gmfu this is more an issue for the 500gb consoles
much prefer having AA batteries in my controller rather than rechargable, then I can swap them out when they run out without having to be tethered with a cable or waiting hours to charge,
say what you will about having to buy a rechargeable battery for the xbox controllers but ive had the same play and charge kit battery since the xbox 360 and it still lasts longer than my ps5 controller built in battery
I know I’m late to commenting on this video, but right of the bat he starts with the portable battery. PS5 controllers last 5 maybe 6 hours at the most of strait playing and they either turn into a cord controller or you pay $80 after tax for a secondary.🤔 I wonder which one is more efficient? The Xbox battery pack or it takes 10 seconds or less to replace the batteries!😄🤷
You keep talking about the Xbox rechargeable battery you have to put in but it literally last six times as long as a PlayStation 5 duel sets😂
This a question for anyone who has a xbox one and series x i just got the x today and i wanted to know if i can download games off what i had on the xbox one can i delete if off that and it will keep it on my x? For example
I download minecraft on the x and delete the xbox one will it stay on the xbox x? And not be deleted bc i did that on the xbox one
look inside the battery pack.. its literally 2 AA rechargable batteries.
hell nah im subbing, cant miss another toaster review
The AA batteries are totally superior, 2 weeks without charging, playing 2-4 hours per day
Perfect timing with all the xbox drama going on
Batteries or in this case the Play and Charge Kit is still the better option.
I’ve had the 12tb hdd for years now And love it I had it for my original Xbox one also I love headset to have that and you can listen to your phone and Xbox at the same time both connected at same time you can play your music on your phone or be on a call it also turns on your Xbox one turning on the headset
5:15 it can also multipoint bluetooth and xbox at the same time, and then the left cuff fades between the two
I frequently have it bluetoothed to my laptop and wirelessed to Xbox to use Discord and watch stuff while playing
I've had the Xbox rechargeable battery since 2013.. I play till the battery dies out and while it charges.. it's 2024 and I still have the same pack and still getting like 12+ hours on it.. worth the $30
@AustinEvans I went on whatnot to see your livestream. I ended up finding bullion streams after yours ended and now im addicted to buying metals. How often do you guys stream on whatnot?
13:52 since when were you allowed to use a keyboard on Xbox?
I’ve always used a keyboard for the Xbox. It’s just that some games don’t let you use a keyboard.
Can snyone answer if the 12TB hard drive Austin grabbed, works for Series X games? I'm curious because I thought just the NVMEs that go into the card slot in the back of the console worked for Series X games.
Haan yaar 4RA ke welcome bonus ne toh pehli baar me hi maza de diya tha, bohot badiya
How do you manage lighting for both indoor and outdoor shots in a video?
To anyone that has used the keyboard and mouse, have you had issues with it connected to your console and causing significant lag? Whenever I had the USB connected, my wifi would be a over the place. It wasn't until I unplugged it that my wifi would go back to normal and run smoothly, I just ended up storing the damn thing away
THE MAN THE LEGEND HITS WHEN I NEEDED IT!❤❤❤❤❤
Now, here’s what I’m confused about, that D10 12TB thing, can I use that for games that have X/S on them?? Cause my Xbox tells me I can’t play those games on my other external hard drive and only internal, does that D10 help with that and I can play my X/S games through it??
I've had the xbox wireless headset for 3 years and it still works today
If your battery goes bad all you have to do is swap out the pack cuz I've had PS3 controllers where the battery didn't hold the charge that long
2:15 I had Forza 5, Forza Motorsport, mw3 (multi+camp), wz3, Fortnite, and ark installed all at the same time. (Don’t get ark, it crashed series x’s specifically)
microsoft making the rechargable battery a pack makes it easy to replace, thing about how many playstation controllers that has a dead battery and you have to open up the whole controller
it said 10.9gb bps you had games downloaded already, the expansion just expands your internal so technically with no games it would have 12
