Regarding your question, remove all the screws of the battery and then just slide back the jack garbing from the cable, don't worry just slide (pull back) garbing the cable.

4:53 hi! I'm a little confused here, before installing a new battery, do I need to remove the BIOS battery connector so that a new battery can be installed and the BIOS battery connector reinstalled?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  5 дней назад +1

🫠Regarding your question, no, there's no need to touch or disconnect the BIOS battery. Just replace the main battery and you'll be fine. I mentioned the BIOS battery for those who are interested to know.

Hey. Do you think removing the battery might reduce overheating? My laptop is perma plugged in charger because battery lifetime is very short, but it overheats and slows down massively while charging. Should I remove and try without it?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  2 месяца назад +2

Regarding your question, you should open and disconnect the battery. This will definitely increase the lifespan of the motherboard, and the charger will last longer. The downside is that you may see a few seconds of delay on boot, but it's nothing bad.

    Hello,
my question is not regarding this video sorry but I am bit confused to upgrade my SSD as I asked to Lenovo customer service they replied that I can use max of 512gb SSD but I just checked one of your video where to advised people that it will be okay to get 2tb SSD too. So, can you please provide me with help that which SSD should I purchase for my laptop as I use for gaming and game development and I cant figure out which should should SSD should I purchase?
    LAPTOP - Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 - 15ARH05 (512gb SSD in-built)

Thank you for your feedback! If you'd like to support the channel, you can show your support by liking, subscribing, or doing both!
Regarding your question, please disregard whatever the lenovo customer service said, as they seem to be misinformed. Upgrading to a 2TB SSD is easily doable without any issues, resulting in improved performance. Brands like Lenovo, HP, and others often have poor customer service experiences.
I have been successfully upgrading clients' devices for over 17 years without encountering any problems. It's important to note that we are discussing NVMe (PCIe lane) SSDs, and there is no limitation to 512GB as previously stated by customer service.
Samsung NVMe Pro SSDs are highly recommended for their durability and reliability. Currently, the 1TB model is on sale for Prime Day. While any NVMe SSD can be used, I specifically recommend the Samsung PRO series for optimal performance and reliability.
      amzn.to/44E85iK
      amzn.to/3rtjdAq
NOTE: you can add a 2TB NVME and have more storage at the same time, you have Zero limitation regarding the storage(GB) .
Thank you for bringing these points to my attention, and if you have any further questions or requests, please feel free to ask.

    Hi!
Is it possible to upgrade the battery for this Acer nitro 5? Meaning can we use a bigger battery while taking advantage of the empty space of the hard drive. If so, would you recommend a battery model that fits? I heard somewhere that it's not recommended to do so as it's very risky because available batteries are cheap and can damage the laptop.
    Thanks

Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both!
Regarding your question, i would highly advise you to not increase the battery capacity on this laptop and use a same watt battery capacity, because the charge circuit on board are designed to charge this capacity buttery and if you increase the capacity of the battery the circuit will over load and will degrade and cause short and damage the board.
don't take me wrong you can increase the battery life by modding and stacking two of the same battery on top of each other and 3d print new bottom case, and it will work but at the risk of the degrading the components on motherboard.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

@6:55 hey i let my battery discharge to 19.9789% instead of 20% while following your ritual. Should I just throw away that battery and buy a new one? I really want battery that will last 2.23 hours longer in total lifetime then the one i messed up. You said its very very very very critically important, so I don't know if I should start over and buy a new one.

Regarding your question, I have been in the repair industry for over 17 years and have extensive experience dealing with batteries. It is crucial, when installing a new battery in a laptop, not to power on the device immediately. Instead, follow these steps:
Plug in the charger and allow the laptop to charge for 4-5 hours.
Power on the laptop without the charger, reducing the LCD brightness to 50% or lower, and maintain a light CPU load. Allow the battery to drain gradually to 20-30%.
Power off the laptop, plug in the charger, and let it charge for another 4-5 hours.
After completing these steps, you can charge and discharge the battery as needed. It's advisable to repeat this process every 3-4 months.
Note: If you've already powered on the laptop without following the above steps, don't worry. You can still perform the recommended procedure now. The above steps are suggested for new batteries and do not imply that your current battery is malfunctioning; there's no need to replace it.
If you have any further questions or requests in the future, please feel free to ask. Cheers! 🍻

      Regarding your question:
      open CMD (admin rights)
      type powercfg/energy
then wait 60sec and see the report.
2ndly you can try to reset the board, unplug the charger and press and hold the power button for 30sec and let go and plug the charger make sure the charger connector fully click all the way in.
and don't power on wait 5min then power on.
