possible to just clean the fan without getting the whole heat sink out right? coz i saw part in your video that it's just being hold by a tape, the fan.
i really need your help mate there a blue cable flat and large who is supposed to be connected juste under the ram from under the battery and there a black thing holding it and that black thing juste poped out the pc still work but battery have a performance problem how can i put it back that thing and how the blue thing is supposed to be connected
Thank you so much for this video! My gpu suddenly stopped performing well. So I popped the lappy open and gave the fans a good cleaning, worked like a charm 👍
So you can have bit a hard drive and a ssd installed? Which one did you have before 6:53 when you pulled out the cable for installing an additional one?
This video is hella useful for me especially when replacing, cleaning and upgrading my laptop. The QR code is very useful to look for the right parts to replace. Also doing this is 100% void warranty so do it at very risk. Before buying a gaming laptop, you need to make a full research on it before deciding on which laptop is suitable for your taste. Price doesn't matter but the quality build of the product does. Don't mind the reviews and stick to your personal reference. Thanks a lot for the information! Cheers!
I have the same model as you, but slightly updated. The problem I‘be noticed though, is that their are springs attached to the screws that hold down the middle heat sink, and as far as I’m aware of there’s no way to take out the screws. What should I do about that?
Wont power on? I thought keyboard may be shot. I opened it up watched this. At 11:39 the keyboard connector. I noticed it slid right out locked. I moved the 2 clips like he said put it back in, locked clips. It worked! Powered on. It must not have been put in all the way during manufacturing and came lose. Hope that helps someone.
To change the touchpad, do you have to take the entire motherboard out? I can't tell if those little circles on the top of it (slightly below the mobo) are held down by screws or just click into place.
@@UbergeeksBiz I actually did it today (before you responded), turns out you don't need the motherboard out at all. It just snaps in and out. I was scared to try it, so I loosened the mobo/heatsink/ssd and did it the hard way, unfortunately. So many tiny screws to keep track of! lol, I had to write a labeled piece of paper with circles for the screws to get them all back in the right place.
Thanks for the video. I have a question. Is the CPU located to the left and the GPU to the right of the laptop (when looking at the screen and in open condition) or vise versa? The reason I ask this is because the central and right side of the keyboard gets really hot under load, so I wanted to know which of them is located to the right. CPU or GPU? Thanks.
What do you think about the charging port and the hinge? I'm a bit worried about the charging port design because you need to push the charging pin harder.
Keyboard and mouse pad completely stopped working. Had my last laptop for 13 years before getting nitro. Remove and reinsert the battery would fix almost anything on the old one. Find there's no battery opening...long story short I only needed to watch to the part where y i u disconnect the battery. Stayed for the rest of the video and now think I'll add and extra ssd. Very clear and easy to understand. Plus found heaps of fluff built up on fans that I cleaned with the vacuum cleaner. Thanks.

Whoever made the video is wrong, it's not thermal pads that are pink, it's thermal putty which is like thermal paste but more viscous, If you use thermal pads instead of thermal putty, it is likely that the CPU and GPU that use thermal paste will not make enough contact with the heatsinks.
Useful but the one part I was hoping you would address was removal f the trackpad . I have to replace mine and you disconnected the cables but is the trackpad a permanent part like the keayboard? of is it remmovable?
I hope my laptop is the same setup with the punchd keyboard backer. Im sitting in front of my Acer nitro 5 with the backplate off and trying to find a video that shows how I get to the keyboard to clean underneath it after a drink spill.... Some ISO if it gets sticky I guess.. appreciate the detailed teardown and expert opinion.
I only need to replace a fan, do I need to disconnect the battery first and then start disconnecting whatever is connected to the fan? Or sdo I need to disconnect everything in the order that you did? Heat sync is fine, only need to replace fan.

Good to know that plate cannot be removed for the keyboard. The ribbon cable has come loose on the other side on mine. It's a common problem with this brand and, is an easy fix on most other machines however since there's no way to get to the keyboard it destroys the entire machine as the power button is on the keyboard. Seems like an intentional flaw.
There is a green light(or bulb) blinking inside in the backside(botton) of laptop.I was able to notice it from the space given in the backpannel to see fans. Same Model. Is it a problem?
