You sound rich, forget Vivien let's talk about us. shhh a guard is coming. Of course I am kidding . This movie does a great job of portraying what a bad life and bad HOME example can lead to. Nowadays we have a societal Ma Barker. Perhaps not as fragrant as encouraging criminal activity but absolutely criminally permissive. Ask our fellow beings in Seattle, we can see how that little social experiment went and is going and going and going. ( p.s I have never been in prison . Knock on shackles).

I've read that Alvin Karpas remarked: "Ma Barker couldn't organize lunch." (BTW, Karpis was just about the only famous bandit of the public enemy era to actually complete his prison sentence. He spent his remaining year in Portugal as a beachcomber.)

I can see either Kathy Bates, Rosanne Barr or Stockard Channing playing the role of Ma Barker on the big screen. Let's get Netflix, Amazon or one of the old Hollywood studios to do this by registering a like on this comment. Thanks!!!
