now that was a REAL MOVIE, thank you!!!!
Indeed. Incredible movie.
Absolutely an Oscar winning performance. Truly an entertaining movie.
A master performance by Lurene Tuttle. Granny Scarface!! Incredible.
I totally agree. Lurene Tuttle's acting in this movie was outstanding. Theatrical performance doesn't get any better than this.
She played that role splendidly. Like she was the real Ma Barker.
Great comeback. " I get around". Ma; " that's right in circles ". Lol
When Alvin Karpis was captured he was asked by the press if Ma planned all their heists. His answer was "Ma couldn't plan breakfast" The movie is a hoot though!
He taught Charles Manson to play the guitar in prison. They were cellmates. His nickname was "creepy".
“If only you had been a better father.” lmao. I know this is an exaggeration of Ma Barker.. but there could be some truth to it as well. She was a strong willed woman.. even her husbands family said so.
So you believe a criminal. Ya the saying there a sucker born every minute is true. Lol. They might of been protecting Ma ya know, NO one will ever know though because it was to long ago so was she the ring leader? Was she just their cook? We don't know and will never know but funny y'all believe criminals
@@will2472 she was a criminal. Today society if someobe taught their children how to rob and steak we would call them bad parents
And Alvin Karp would never lie to the authorities.
This is a great movie. I could watch this more than once, and I have. Great escape from now.
I bet the actress Lurene Tuttle
enjoyed every minute of that role!
What a gem of a film, brilliant all
round.
Thank you for uploading 💖
WHAT A STRANGE COMMENT

Why???
GOLD CARD WHAT A TROLL
I understand Vivien. I am with you 100%. I have been in prison 9 years and getting out next year. And this movie really hits home. Goldcard , i like your name . You sound rich, forget Vivien let's talk about us. shhh a guard is coming. Of course I am kidding . This movie does a great job of portraying what a bad life and bad HOME example can lead to. Nowadays we have a societal Ma Barker. Perhaps not as fragrant as encouraging criminal activity but absolutely criminally permissive. Ask our fellow beings in Seattle, we can see how that little social experiment went and is going and going and going. ( p.s I have never been in prison . Knock on shackles).
Yes and she played it well good movie I duly took note of that lal
I grew up in Southwest Missouri. This story is well-known around here the family are still around here too. I’m friends with descendants from the barkers.
I love these type of Gangster movies of robbery , crime & mayhem .. No , not that I would go out & do such a thing but I just love to watch them , Such as Dillinger & Bonnie & Clyde .. And guess what ? These are old Classic movies & they are just as good as some of these new movies today ..
From our childhood
This is a black & white worth watchin' Ma's character was most entertaining ☺
U right 👍
Love those old Bank robberies movies.🏚️🏦🗽. Thanks for the movie.
our pleasure. 😄
Lurene Tuttle gave a fine performance....even restricted by the Code, the venom was there in every line
deffinately just about hot as the sun, Yikes
No rply
What code is that? The one they never enforced, is that the one?
@@thomashenebry8269 the censors and local review boards were watching....no cursing in those days.
Academy award winning performance! Easy call.
One of, if not the best female performance’s I’ve ever seen.
Laurene as Ma Barker was Perfect..lol
Absolutely perfect
She really just sat around, read movie magazines and did crossword puzzles. Ma was created by Hoover. Still, I like this film.
She was created by Hoover and the FBI to cover up the fact that they shot and killed an unarmed woman.
Sir Talkalot Dolittle:Not quite Belle Starr material then?
As the boys got older she stayed home and wasn't involved as much
I saw this before . Good movie ! Nothing like a black and white film to bring back memories when I was younger . Thanks for posting . Just think if they had seatbelts back then , would have been less injuries .
That guy getting set on fire is one hell of a way to throw you into a movie. It sticks with you.
I’m glad I finally gave old movies a chance
There are lots of great old movies out there. I personally love Sherlock Holmes, (the twelve with Rathbone).
This is a classic.
Watch gone with the wind if you haven’t. It’s my favorite. And cleopatra. They are so good
Ma Barker didn’t put up with no riffraff. She had more balls then most wannabe gangsters today. 👍🏼🤠
She has more balls than most want to be gangsters today lol you do realize it was a different time back then and you can commit more crimes back then without even people knowing you got all these fucking cameras and people willing to snitch back then they called them dirty rats but now they call people snitches lol so the period of time was different if she did all the stupid shit today most likely she won’t be as famous as she was literally today in most likely wouldn’t be ass deadly nether lol 💀 ☠️ ^ but hey u keep thank that mr😌😀
This is a movie not a documentary.
She's dead. You know that right?
I think your ✋ is on backwards.🤠👍
It may have been a propaganda film but I still enjoyed it. Thanks for the upload and sharing it with us. Keep up the great work.
I like the old movies for the cars - this one was beautifully done .
This movie on a 1930s case, is from 1960 (not from 1970). Thanks for uploading it 👍
Master acting, a rare classic. Boney M 's 'Ma Baker ' is the best tribute to this movie. It's like today's world.' None leave their mark, each leave their stain '
I actually just listened to that song right before watching this movie.
So is it Baker or Barker?
@@paulanthony5274 Ma Barker was the original name, but the songwriters of “Ma Baker” by Boney M. decided that Baker sounded catchier, so they went with that.
@@KoryGilesYT Thanks mate.
@@paulanthony5274 You’re welcome. Happy to help.
I can't help but think about a fight between Ma Barker and Norma Bates. Great movie 👍👍
Ma Barker member Alvin karpis wrote his own book called " On the Rock" while he was at Alcatraz prison. I read the book in 1998 when I lived at Sacramento California.
My bro in laws said it was the coldest n spookiest place they had ever visited.
Very good directing and excellent camera work.
Keep the faith to the end..
Pure gangster..
The Legend...
'MA BAKER '
May God forgive your Soul...
We need more great actors like these people . They don't make them any more
Just as well, the actors are so corny

🤣 was that the movie or Bugs Bunny's Loony Tunes?! 😂
Note: correct year for this movie is 1960. For the 1970 version see: Bloody Mama starring Shelley Winters and a young Robert de Niro. KAN
Thanks for the tip.
I came here because I thought there is no way this is 1970.
That was the film I was trying to recall with Don Stroud as Hermann.
By far my favorite gangster movie❤
How sad that RUclips interrupts the movie every 10 or so minutes with an ad.

They ought to remake this one. Interesting story.

😳🤣 no way ! That woman was sick in the head
Great campy popcorn movie! Surprised about how many facts were here!
🍿💗✌🍿
Great Classic Gangster movie thanks for posting as I just this moment watched it .. 💯% 😉👍
The actual shootout lasted several hours, locals came to watch and actually sat and had picnics while the shootout took place, Fred didn't die outside, he was found in a front bedroom riddled with bullets, possibly by Ma Barker along with his mother, she only had a single bullet wound
Seriously?
@@wyattpeterson6286 Seriously, the shootout was well documented
@@stevelewis7263 It was the above comment is from one who has to be negative because of the internet.
@@Gerlad970 No it's about being pernickety about FACTUAL DETAILS, today's knee bending WOKES would have whoopie goldberg play Wyatt Earp in the Gunfight at the O.K Corral, and the protagonists throwing down their guns and ending up kissing each other like it was a GAY ORGY
Yes, the one gunshot wound points to her most likely taking her own life.
wonderful movie....loved loved it...
Good depiction of this sadist woman who turn into one of the most dangerous criminals. But Shelley Winters performance in Bloody Mama is more than amazing
Diapers are a girls best friend
I enjoyed the movie thank you for sharing
thank you for your comment! ❤👍
Great movie. Ma was sure a feisty woman no doubt.
Great Movie, I remember seeing this when I was A child. Adding this to my Movie Play list. CLASSIC 🤫💯💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💯
Stop shakin, and start shooting!! Like that.
I also Ms.Lee😊
I don't know how historically accurate this film is, but it was definitely an entertaining Blast From The Past....!!! I loved The Fed's comment in the near final scenes, "Let make Swiss cheese out of that house"....!! Right On Amigos = Killers have 'earned' nothing more, and certainly nothing LESS!!!
I think the only thing they got right was the names, but it was entertaining.
Wow!!! That this, or something in its mold, ever happened!!! Wow!!! What a mother!!!
Im so such a fan of the rifleman...I mostly adore the relationship between he and his son...he know he can say Pa/Paw lol loving it
I think you’re on the wrong post 🤔
Are you referring to the young Herman, play by Don Grady who played Robbie of My Three Sons?
When you got nothing you got nothing to lose 😊
nothing left to lose
I have to give Ma Barker credit. She was one smart woman. All the way to the end. I would say she was well above genius. And was as lethal as it comes, as a psychopath. ❤❤❤
No. There’s nothing at all smart in a life of crime…in the end it always destroys you, and those around you. Nothing “smart” about that.
No genius, a quite good comedian, for sure a sociopath...
great show 😎👍
Entertaining film! Thanks for posting.

Good movie
This is a good black and white film. I remember the one kid from my 3 sons. That was a good series. This woman is so ungrateful for what she already has. She has a house and a loving husband. But that isnt enough for her. Her and her sons are all going to wind up dead.
Whos watching this because of Boney M ma baker?
hahaha! Right
There was another film made about this family which starred Don Stroud amongst others.I have heard Ma had nothing to do with her son's lifestyle & that everything was exaggerated. There was a song about them too with the line "...she never could cry,M.m.m.m Ma Baker, but she knew how to die."I learned later the family name was Barker.
I believe it was the song by Boney M,
"Ma Baker." Check it out to hear it again 😊
Boney M .by german producer Frank Farian,he did all,the music, lyrics, all he did alone!
Yeah, her role was most likely a myth. When asked about her, Alvin Karpis replied “Ma couldn’t plan breakfast.”
A great movie on parenting! Planned parenthood!
Or Selective Baby mamahood
🤣 They ought to show this movie in the lobbies of abortion clinics.
Old movie but good actors and i liked thanks
Happy you liked it. Thanks for watching! 😃✌📺🎬
Great movie. Worth watching.
A beautiful family type movie...
One of a kind woman.
If they make a new movie about the Barker gang; I'd like to see Lynda Carter cast as Ma!
@Coogan Name your drug.
THANK YOU FOR MOVIE
Hey, that kid Herman played Robbie on ‘My Three Sons’ in the 1960’s!
Your right. Queen's lady that's a young Don grady before my three sons
And true to form he was the one that was squeaky clean, and didnt want to do crime. I felt sorry for that brother killed before Ma Barker because he was really trying to stop doing crime, and turn himself in.
One of the kids was the son on The Rifleman
Wonderful movie
Thank you !!
You should read the Wikipedia article about Ma Barker. Apparently, she was not at all a criminal, just a cover for the gang as they moved around. I've read that Alvin Karpas remarked: "Ma Barker couldn't organize lunch." (BTW, Karpis was just about the only famous bandit of the public enemy era to actually complete his prison sentence. He spent his remaining year in Portugal as a beachcomber.)
Oops I meant he spent his remaining YEARS in Portugal. (Or Spain, according to Wiki). He died in 1979 after being released from US prison in the early 1960's.
Love this movie
Great on action, light on facts!
More like a comedy than a crime movie!
Awesome Movie
Even though this movie makes Mrs. Barker out to be ruthless, in reality she was highly moral and only turned to crime when it benefited her.
If criminals didn't think that they would benefit from their crimes, they wouldn't be criminals.
You don’t seem to understand the basics of criminality 😂
Alvin Karpis was known as "Creepy Karpis" due to his weird smile, he was born 10/Aug/1907 and died 26/Aug/1979 in Spain, George Kelly Barnes 18/July/1895 - 18/July/1954 was known as Machine Gun Kelly and is reportedly the person who called FBI agents " G-Men", he died in prison on his 59th birthday
JP amazing brought me here
This movie is proof that a life doing wrong ends wrong

At her son's funeral: "This didn't have to happen"
Ma says: "If only you'd been a better father"
Holyshit😂😂😂😂
It's Rob from my 3 sons on the violin.
yes Robbie Douglas.
Oh it is!
If we had more families like Ma Barkers crew the 1% wouldn't have everything.
You're as sick as they were.

Yes they would. Cause they would be one of them. The Clinton killers.
I have been a criminal must of my life and never looked back crime dose pay till the day you get court

This was not released in 1970 like the description says, it’s actually 1960
Isn't that Robbie from My Three Son's playing the violin.
Yes, it's the now late Don Grady. 7/2019

The boy that plays Herman is Robbie from "My Three Sons"

So bad i loved it.
The sound effects of that guy being run over by the white model A couldn’t have been any better if it was Jim Carrey
Now I understand a Lone Ranger episode where Tonto falls victim to a brutal gang patterened after Ma Barker and her boys.
