The episode where Zack tried to get with the school nurse while he was still dating Kelly, while in the process denying Slater a proper inoculation to prevent disease. The episode where he was so damn shallow to the overweight girl who wanted to go to the dance with him, he was such trash even the studio audience applauded when she told him off. The college years when he went dumpster diving for exam results cause he was too lazy to study and get the education his parents were paying for, it was an ethics class so the professor was only doing his job in trying to teach some ethics to that unethical bastard! The possibilities are endless man!
and we never see the car again, because it probably fucking killed itself.

His body may be maturing, but his mindset needs work. What's worse is he even pulls this crap in college. Good thing that lasted 13 episodes. Then there's the incident in the Wedding In Las Vegas movie. Kelly was too forgiving there, or just used to his BS by then that she had no choice but to forgive him; not to mention the cost of canceling everything.

He didn't orchestrate an accident. He set up his friend for academic (and potentially criminal) charges and mistakenly caused an accident. Zack doens't physically hurt people. He emotionally, mentally, and legally hurts them until they're as good as dead.
IKR, if someone had something heavy in that locker and it hit Kelly on the head severely injuring or killing her Slater would have been on the hook for criminal negligence.
People here are enabling affluenza.
Even IF Kelly didn't suffer severe head trauma (big if; lockers are plenty heavy enough when empty), Slater could still be charged with theft of school property and operating a motor vehicle without a licensed driver in the car.
+John Eusebio I'm not sure about California, but here a golf cart doesn't require licensing and is just prohibited from public road use. The other charges would still stick though.
It kind of bugs me. Zack is a manipulative jerk. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. But, he didn't force Slater to give him an illegal lesson. He certainly didn't force Kelly to get in the car where she shouldn't have been. And, while he distracted Slater, if Slater was going to turn around to yell at Zach, he should have hit the brakes first.

Opee: It was NBC's first attempt at a Saturday morning teen sitcom (that I know of) so they had to keep things light even when exploring a serious topic.

You gotta do the episode where Zack is in charge of the video yearbook, and uses it to sell to other schools as dating videos, and then tries to get everyone to feel sorry for him. Basically fraud, sexual harassment, and other sociopathic behavior.

In the end, since it wasn't mentioned, Mr. Belding rightfully flunked Zack in Driver's Ed and gave Slater two weeks detention for driving the stolen car and causing damage. "And that, Mr. Tuttle, is how we Principal." and then Mr. Tuttle mocked him. Hilarious!! Zack still got off too easy though. No detention or suspension for masterminding it??
I love these!! I certainly don't look at the show the same way now and even only watched a few episodes when it was on Netflix because I couldn't stand a lot of the crap Zack did. Keep up the excellent work!! :)
Back then I'm pretty sure u had to pass drivers ed in school before u could take ur real driving test, so maybe Zack had to wait another semester to get his license

This show had so many PSAs, but despite that, it was Zack who was a horrible role model to begin with and nobody should have looked up to him
Please also do the episode where Zack Morris makes Lisa do the Teen Line where he gives out bad advice in order to generate more phone calls and leads on Kelly's 13 year old sister into thinking she likes him.

The longer I marathon these, the more I feel like people look to this character as a positive rolemodel, instead of a negative one as intended.
The writers/creators were definitely ambivalent about Zack. He displayed sociopathic tendencies but, more often than not, his shenanigans were presented as "cool" and he got off scot-free.
Furthermore, he was the face of *SBTB* and his image was on all the merchandise (e.g., posters, books, games). It's no wonder Zack Morris (and by extension MPG) became a teen idol. Tween girls wanted him and boys wanted to be him. Not the kind of message you want to send if you're trying to deter kids from Zack's behavior.

The best bit of these, without question, are the edits with the narrator giving the dialogue over the episode verbatim, gets me every time.
I wish I could write a villain as despicable and yet compelling and effective as Zack.

Actually, if I remember correctly, Zack tried to stop Kelly from riding on that vehicle because Zack had sabotaged the vehicle so it would crash. He did not want Kelly hurt (possibly because if she was hurt she wouldn't want to date)
