    If Rovyvon got rid of the proximity sensor and replaced it with a green laser and added a magnet to the clip, this would be an insta-buy from me.

      I have the light and while an additional laser would be very cool, it's an awesome light without it, due to all the other features. (I've disabled the proximity sensor on favour of using lockout instead).

    One of my buddy’s have this light and he loves it. He is in Law Enforcement and works overnights. The red light he says, works amazing, and works great when clipped into his Molle vest. He said he also gets loads of compliments from the other guys asking about where he got such a slim flashlight with so much power, which matters a lot when you care about the space you have on your vest

    I got one of these and I just love how complex this light is! Took me a month to figure out how to turn off the proximity sensor and back... Very usable, very EDC. I think for a backup or as a secondary light always at hand it is terrific! Also I went with a backpack the light attached to the strap. I used the red sidelight to illuminate the road ahead. Very convenient!!!

    This proximity sensor is actually a good idea for a flashlight for survival or for work where you need to look at the instructions etc. We shine into the distance and in a moment I look at the map or instructions and there are 10lm. Actually it's a good idea. It's nice that you can also turn off the proximity sensor.

      It’s a little much don’t you think?
      I’ve never seen a sensor that activates from so far away. Yes it’s a good idea to have a sensor that can be turned off but I think it’s too sensitive. 👍🏻

    I tested mine in the water. Was swimming with the light in my pocket for ~10-15 minutes. The light was never deeper than ~1m. When I got out, you could see water behind the sidelight and main light lenses. I would not count on this being IPX8. Water resistant probably, and maybe could survive a quick drop in the pool or a lake, but I wouldn't depend on this light being IPX8.

    Looks pretty cool, but there does seem to be a lot going on which can make it hard to remember the ui.
    The ui is similar to the E5 angel eyes. I do get confused with the single click to eco.

    I have the Nitecore version now. I use it far far more indoors than outdoors. I like the proximity sensor and often would have liked the one on the Nitecore to be more sensitive. I am going to buy one of these RovyVon E30 Pro's and see if its better for me than the Nitecore.

    They might as well have just made one of these but clear like they’re smaller lights and also give it a laser and have everything in one such as all the side emitters, including a UV and a warm emitter and a red and they might as well throw some RGB in there as well. Just make it a light that has everything, so if you just wanna go crazy and show off a light and have fun with it. It doesn’t have to be some like super Duper tactical and every kind of thing it can just kind of be a crazy fun light that does literally everything. So it wouldn’t be for like police officers or something like that but just for a flashlight enthusiast that wants to have a crazy light that literally does everything. No one’s done a clear glow changeable battery as well as an onboard rechargeable battery such as the previous version that literally does everything including what smaller glow-in-the-dark lights do.

  • @dialucrii31

    I love your videos but I strongly disagree with your conclusion on this one. If you're used to the usual rovyvon UI then this is actually quite intuitive with only a couple of additional steps.
    Ultimately, we can't eat our cake and have it too - if we want this many functions in a single flashlight, you need the same buttons to perform several functions. It's either that or people would complain about there being too many buttons. So you have to either accept reduced functionality/led options or master a slightly more complicated UI.
    I have a LOT of flashlights and it is easy to forget which UI does what as I rotate flashlights, but as someone with several lights from rovyvon, I find this E30 pro quite easy to use.
    The other thing to consider is that most people looking for a multifunction light are not collectors or at least aren't rotating dozens of lights, so won't be so phased by learning the UI to operate it.
    And the functionality, well.... I don't believe there's a flashlight light that does as much as this does aswell as it does it, in terms of combining EDC and tactical functionality. If that means a slight learning curve to master the UI then I'm ok with that age I think most people would be. I got out for £52 in a rovyvon website sale and compared to the nitecore etc equivalents, it blows them away at that price. The functions, lumens, battery capacity and just how it feels in the hand (I have the marble version, very premium feel).
    Out of 100 or so different lights that I own, this is the closest to "one light light to rule them all" that I've found so far.
    There will never be a flashlight that is perfect for all purposes, but this gets pretty damn close in several categories imho.
    Keep up with the great reviews. 👍

    • @ChrispyThings
      @ChrispyThings  11 дней назад +1

      That’s the thing. I don’t want that many functions in a flashlight. I’ll gladly carry 2 when I need different functions that would perform better than an all in 1.
      That opinion could change, but as of now I want an EDC floor, and a separate TAC thrower.

    • @dialucrii31
      @dialucrii31 11 дней назад

      @@ChrispyThings I hear you but with this light you're getting all the edc functionality while still having an easily accessible Tac mode. I agree it lacks throw for searching at distance though and if I was heading out walking at night I'd want a thrower too. But for 90% of use cases, including self defense, this light covers everything you'd ever need. And I value having all that in a single, light, compact form that's easily kept on me all day. More practical than carrying two lights and it frees up a pocket for other things.
      FWIW, if I was to carry two it would be the E30 pro and a warrior x4, though the javelot turbo might replace that, just because it's so compact.
      I think once someone was used to the UI, this would become their go-to (as has happened with me), especially if they value red light at night, which is partly why it ticks so many boxes for me.

    I got one of those and after I received it, I was kind of wondering why I bought it because I bought the one with the warm lights on the side instead of the different colored lights and then I was kicking myself because why did I do that because it’s basically like having the same thing in two spots

    • @andrashavas

      Put the light clip on and you can clip it on yourself, backpack and use the side-lights to illuminate things.

  • @Jeeper906
    @Jeeper906 2 месяца назад +2

    I have the nitecore edc27 and the 3000 turbo is a gimmick. The battery has to be fully charged for it to come on and if you use it at all and the battery is at say 90% turbo works for about a second or two before it shuts off. I don't know why they even added it to the flashlight. It only works if the battery is at 100%.
