    take a look at the mt1c pro from nitecore. considerably lighter, smaller, tail stand. with this weight I would just use my the pd35r

    Nice throw and beam, but there are too many weaknesses with the light itself, and the same can be said about all... the others too, many have good throw and beam, but the flashlight itself... always... leaves a lot to be desired.
    Only Klarus meets my requirements.

    It may not be to everybody’s liking ,but I think it has a good beam profile. i own 30 lights at least.

      Wifey needs to see this post, she thinks I have gone over the top with around 10 lights. I call that a bare minimum!

    I picked up a sportac p60 drop in with the Osram CSLPM1 emitter. Have it in a Malkoff MD2 host with a high draw 18650 cell. That light is what this Fenix should be. Terrible decision to use a 18350 in this. This Osram emitter actually does best with a fairly high amp draw and most 18350 can’t deliver more than 3 amps. I believe my sportac on turbo is drawing 6 amps and in the Malkoff body it takes a good 5-6 minutes before you start seeing a heat step down. Love this emitter but, the design could’ve been better as a single 18650 light.

    • @ChrispyThings
      @ChrispyThings  3 месяца назад

      Definitely. It needs 18650 or above

      @ChrispyThings true I think of it more as like a back up light or for short term use

    I wish Fenix made a dedicated WML LIGHT without the external charger port and indicator.

    Which osram is used??

  • @Sr.Trebor

    For EDC i prefer the old TK16 V2.0, more powerful, more runtime, etc...

  • @GM-gc8gg
    @GM-gc8gg 3 месяца назад +1

    Emisar D1: same size, bigger battery (more runtime), choice of emitters, customizable Anduril 2, and half the price. A no-brainer.

    A search party would not use a thing like this.. need something that can throw some light and battery capacity to keep it going..

    • @ChrispyThings
      @ChrispyThings  4 дня назад +1

      It has plenty of throw and replaceable batteries. Perfect for a search party.

    Fenix need to step up with their lights. The Nitecore MT2Cpro will outperform this but smaller. Fenix is boring brand and need innovation

      It's not smaller as it uses an 18650 battery. Yes it has more lumens but lacks the medium brightness level. Pretty much a light for the exact same use scenario as the TK05R.
