- In this video, I chose a bunch of mountain bike products between $5 and $200. We still have some great riding weather in some parts of the world, and the holidays are fast approaching, so hopefully some of this stuff proves useful or at least entertaining!

Isn't there a video where he told us that they moved around? I guess it was some whistler video. Strange how things changed for money.
P.s. they only fit if you got sticks for legs. He also said that in an other video.

I've seen some US ones which don't have metric 🤔😱😅
@@ollieb9875 I have 4 tape measures. Only my flexible tailor's tape measure has metric. It's been a point of annoyance, so I'm going to get the park tool one. Actually, this was the one part of the video that was actually applicable to me.

One thing to note about field fixing your chain with a master link is if you need to shorten your chain, you also can't shift into your lowest gear. To accomodate for having a shorter chain you can mentally remember to stay out of the last 1-2 largest gears of your cassete, or use your low limit screw to prevent shifting into them.
if you're just shortening it by 1 or 2 links, shifting into the lowest gear should often still work fine. The second lowest gear should definitely still work normally unless you shroten your chain by like 10 links (= 5").

I’ve been watching your videos for about 3-4 years now, and today, after years of waiting and working, was the day I finally bought a mountain bike. I’m about to be 15 on Tuesday. The bike I purchased was the Kona Honzo. This bike is $1,500 usd and lemme tell you guys. It’s one of the best birthday gifts I’ve ever had

This man took a hard look at his metrics and made some mf big brain decisions. The quality of content is unmatched.
Could you explain what you mean?
I like the chain tool master link combo. For newer riders, I believe in a pinch if you only have the chain tool and no mstr link, you can still eliminate the bad section and rejoin the chain to get you back to the trailhead. You wouldn't be able to use your largest cog in the back most likely, but it will work.

Gotta say, ever since he signed whatever "unscripted" deal he signed, these pieces have taken on that reality TV cringe factor. Loved him before, now not so much. Take, as an example, Worldwide's product videos. Those are still great and authentic. No cheesy side camera angle shifts, no yucking it up for the reality camera (tire 'splosion!). But still fun humor and clips. I have a bit of experience in the entertainment industry, so I'm pretty sure what has happened, and I'm sad to have lost something I enjoyed. Maybe this phase/deal will pass, and OG Seth will make a return. I've seen it several times before. But many more times I've seen these deals ruin people. Like really really ruin their lives.

I could buy a full-sus by now 🤣
The only weakness I've found with Knog lights is the mounting solution. Given the weight of the light with battery and the premium materials used, the mount is plastic, gets loose and rattles after not a whole lot of usage. Amazing light for sure, but it's totally let down by the mount. It rattles around for me on my road bike, let alone riding trails on the full suspension mountain bike.
The last time I was this early Zuko was still searching for his honor

+1 for the Thule Bike Stand. After using a few previously which can't hold the weight, these are fantastic! Also fits my dual suspension no problems.
I can't say enough that your tailgate swing is the most convenient feature I've ever seen! Especially for attaching a bike tailgate pad! It's like a damn rubics cube trying to attach the one I bought! That was the fastest 17 minutes, I couldn't believe it was over already, which means absolutely nothing, but thanks for the video. My Christmas list is right on your description list!🤣👍🤙🎄

I take that Lezyne tubeless kit with me everyday on my commute. The plastic box it comes in is big enough to also hold a valve core remover, a valve core, chain link and a topeak flypaper glueless patch kit. Makes for a very compact little setup.
From personal experience I would buy a bike light from the dairy section at Walmart before I'd buy another one from Knog. I supported Knog for *years*, partly because they are from my city, and had literally every single one of them die for one reason or another. USB connection failure, battery failure, button failure, physical construction failure - all of the above. My local bike shops, when I mentioned the issues, echoed this - they've had similar issues with their Knog lights, too.

OMG I love my POC knee pad, it's so comfortable that I even use them for knee warmer on road cycling, and put underneath riding pants for dirt biking.
Another good helmet is the bell super DH. I know it’s $300 but you basically get two helmets in one (full and half lid), it’s super comfy, they look sick, and the magnet buckle is the smallest yet greatest thing ever added to a helmet.

I had one of those Park Tool racks in college. It worked for my full suspension bike, but only because there was enough space between the shock and the top tube to fit the arm. It definitely wouldn't work for all bikes, though.
The kids demoing everything are awesome!
Hey Seth, I would really like you to do a video reviewing front shocks, particularly shocks under 110 mm. Here's the story, my dad used to be a really hardcore mountain biker, but this was a loooong time ago. Now that he is older, his xc full suspension mountain bike that was really nice back in the late 90's and very early 2000's, is mostly used by me. It is still a nice bike that only weighs 25 lbs., The only problem is that the front shock that was only 90mm was leaking air (apparently it has been doing this for a very long time) and we had been combatting this by pumping fix-a-flat into them, this would work for a little while but recently I hit a jump and it completely blew out. So I have been looking for a new one that is under $170 but I don't know which ones to trust. If you have already done a video like this please just link it down below and I'm sorry for wasting your time, but if you haven't, I'm sure other people would be in the same situation and would love some more info.🙂😀😀😊
You don't have many options left, and soon it may be impossible to find a fork that fits and is good. All of the standards your fork is built to are no longer relevant, 26" wheels, 9mm QR, 100mm spacing, 1 1/8" straight steerer, and potentially rim-brake posts. Have you looked for a rebuild kit for your fork? The one fork I like is the Manitou Markhor, but like most options, it's disc brake only.
Seth, I like your cut G
You can make a bike stand to work on your bike from 2x4s. You cut the 2 pieces 3 feet long and screw them at a 45 degree angle and then cut a board 6 inches shorter than your height and screw that at the point in the 45 degree angle. Then cut a board 1 1/2 feet long and screw that at the top of the board that sticks up.
I like how you look cool on the knee bike lol . Bro thanks for continuing the love of cycling. When is was a young man my bike helped me escape from reality. Watching your channel brings me much love .

I have a Evoc 2 bike pad for my Silverado. Works pretty good, got it from Amazon for like $90. My goto tire plug kit, is the Pro Bike Tool kit. Everything is contained in a aluminum pill style bottle. The reamer screws into the container top. That set me back a massive $20. Also running an Original Free Range tube gator, neoprene sheath with elastic cords. Works AWESOME!! Then I added a Topeak Bottle cage tool case.
