Great idea! I've been wanting to do something to my chain link fence(approx 300 linear feet) to improve its appearance, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. After seeing this video, now I know how I'm going to do it. Thanks.
The measurement of a pipe is the inside diameter, so 1 inch pipe clamps fit 1 1/4 outside diameter.
Nice!
I would put on the bottom too. Great job!
what about the opposite side of the fence?
i like this idea because it really is fast and simple. had i seen this first, i might have just done what you showed vs putting solid wood across the whole thing (like I did with my gate).
Very good DIY fence improvement tips. Nice idea from one of my favorite illusionist.
How do the conduit hold up to the elements? Get brittle in time?
That is an awesome idea.
That looks so nice!
this is cool…you could even add those long skinny wood slat pieces(not sure what they are called) in the chain link and you would totally have a faux wood fence!
Sorry, I am assuming the conduit clamps are plastic like material.
no they are metal and can be purchased in the fence area of your hardware store.
they are plastic... Long term not the smartest, but they should last a long time.
are the clamps plastic?
yes they are plastic and can be purchased in the fence area of your hardware store.
