      Good deal!
      I run a heavy duty tube a good rim lock and Bridgestone x20 rear tire/ gekkota gummy rear tire and a Bridgestone m59 front and I haven’t had any issues with traction, or popped tubes!

    2001 KDX 220r
    -KX250 front fork swap
    -YZ450f rear spring
    - Flex enduro handlebars.
    I love this bike. All it does is go. Super reliable and fun to ride. With the upgrades on suspension, and practice, it can be ridden on track. I dont hit doubles or anything. Tough bike
    we have been down pretty hard, more times than most adult ridden bikes.
    Always got me back.

    04 kdx 220 heavier springs up front carb n head mod from RB designs wiseco piston n aftermarket bars with some risers. Bike has never left me stranded and will go anywhere I point it. Also have a 05 ktm 300 good bike as well but for reliability and just plain ol fun n comfort you can't beat a kdx

    This bike wasn't'built for going down a dirt road at high speed in a straight line. I owned and raced two KDX 200s in the Blackjck enduro series and the Missouri state hare scrambles championship series when they were new in '85 and '87 . They excelled in tight technical single track woods riding. I raced them in hare scrambles in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa . Take that one out and use your go pro to do some serious tight woods riding at speed. That's where it needs to be filmed and worked.

      @hashtag_moto_  3 года назад +1

      Yeah it does do great in the woods. I notice it lacks in the single track compared to my 88 though.
      I can’t ride a bike now or I would post more videos my backs messed up.
      I agree it’s not a bike that’s built to be strung out at the top of 6th constantly

    It's interesting that you refer to this bike as a heavy dual-sport. Until the KTM Freeride came along, there wasn't a more lightweight factory-built enduro. Normally the "heavy dual sport" label is something you'd call the CRF250L or bikes similar to it. From the video it seems someone made yours street legal (if it didn't come that way) and they geared pretty high for street. Most of us who use them as trail bikes leave it at the stock 13/47 gearing or even lower, like 13/48 or even 12/47.

      @hashtag_moto_  5 лет назад

      Oh for sure agreed and I didn’t mean as in heavy heavy I was talking compared to it’s motocross size competition bikes weight wise. I was saying if someone was coming off of a motocross bike this would be a “heavy bike” like my friends that tried out my bike getting off of their 125 2 strokes they noticed the weight. To me it feels 100% normal and I like how light it is but I was specifically talking first impressions off of a motocross bike it may feel heavy for some people

    • @hashtag_moto_
      @hashtag_moto_  5 лет назад +1

      Personally I leave my bike on stock heading too it’s about perfect from the factory imo I kept my 13-47 and I like how it feels in the trails but when I have to go down the road I can do 70 with no issue and 80 if I’m pushing it

    I have an 02 model.... Motor is brilliant - shame kawasaki done such a poor job with the wiring, my bike is now scrap cos I ripped every wire out of it when the lights failed..... So it's sat in my garage now and the first £500 takes it away, I only rode it out 3 times, I'd rather have spent the money on high end call girls and coke

    what ratio are you running?

    • @hashtag_moto_
      @hashtag_moto_  5 лет назад +1

      I always run amsoil dominator 32:1, but jet your bike accordingly to what you’re running and make sure your plug chop confirms it

    • @CD-uh7vs
      @CD-uh7vs 3 года назад +2

      Why would you run what the book tells you to run on a stock motor lol if it’s jetted and has jug/head work, the ratio may not be according to manufacturers recommendations... douche

    Lol dude. It is probably one of the lightest full size off road dirt bike.

    • @hashtag_moto_
      @hashtag_moto_  5 лет назад

      Oh definitely true especially from it’s time era I was saying it’s a heavy bike being compared to the newer counterpart such as you go buy a 2019 crf450r it’s only about 248-250 lbs wet. Again I didn’t address my meaning behind it in my words I’m comparing apples and oranges and 2 totally different bikes next time I’ll be more clear for sure

    • @hashtag_moto_
      @hashtag_moto_  5 лет назад

      And it’s got a good weight to it I will say that after more off-road interaction with the bike it feels very sturdy in the woods and I’ve became accustomed to the bike the more I ride it in the woods

    • @BaronBoar
      @BaronBoar 5 лет назад

      @@hashtag_moto_ even compared to new bikes it is light, wet weight. It's hard to beat. I have one. It is sweet.

    • @hashtag_moto_
      @hashtag_moto_  5 лет назад +1

      BaronBoar for sure I love mine it’s not going anywhere anytime soon as far as I’m concerned

    • @BaronBoar
      @BaronBoar 5 лет назад +1

      @@hashtag_moto_ the KDX220 is around 240 pounds wet as well. Fully fueled with 2.9 gallons of fuel. Crf450r doesn't have that much fuel capacity. So really it is still a lighter bike than most modern bikes.

    Jesus Christ, does anybody know how to ride anymore? How about giving us a video with about two minutes of commentary, and 10 minutes of what the bike can actually do on “video”… Just thinking out of the box!
