  • I like to head up to higher elevations to ride when Las Vegas gets hot. We stage at Cold creek NV and then ride up Wheeler pass. Where there is a challenging hill climb. Enjoy :)

    Stay on the pipe. If it's not wheeling it's not steep enough- I've had. 8 kdxs- no problems on any hills or terrain. For 18 years

    The DRZ 400 is a great bike...I struggled between the DR650 and the DRZ400 for what I would take south...I think either bike would work great!

    • @ZSharkPH
      @ZSharkPH  6 лет назад +1

      I know the feeling... Lighter is always better when your in a remote place by yourself. But I think we made the right choice :) The DR is worlds better on road.. And can do mostly everything the drz can off road... just slower usually :) Have you seen many people adventuring the DRZ in your travels?

    • @perpetualmoto
      @perpetualmoto 6 лет назад +1

      Yeah, I've seen a lot of people on the DRZ...but I was coming from a R1200GS and 800GSA so thats what a big bike is to me, making the DR650 seem like a childs toy. People often ride up on the DRZ and mention to me that the DR650 is a "big bike"...lol, its all about your past experience I guess...prob a good chance they havnt ridden the Baja peninsula on a 1200GS like me, LOL!

    • @ZSharkPH
      @ZSharkPH  6 лет назад +1

      Yeah I watched your COBDR you did on the GS.. You muscled that thing around well.. I hear the deep sand in baja can be a handful,, Haven't been there yet..If I get all my parts on in time.. I'll take the DR on the COBDR in august.. I did the IDBDR last year on my 690.. editing video of it now...haha.. Butler maps does a great job planning these routes in the U.S.

    • @perpetualmoto
      @perpetualmoto 6 лет назад

      I love Butler Maps!! I think the UTBDR (specifically the Lockhart Basin) solo on the GS may have been a stupid idea...ruclips.net/video/VrjrjWNaugA/видео.html....but the COBDR is a pleasure to ride. Amazing campsites with water close by is so common...the route is cake, but its gonna give you whiplash with all the AMAZING vistas! Love the COBDR...Colorado is simply amazing, ur gonna love it.

    • @jpesicka492
      @jpesicka492 2 года назад

      U can't compare a street bike and dirt bike though, DRZ400 with a jetted carb and full exhaust will absolutely be an offroad weapon. Could even change the gearing if need more top speed. 650 is cool more long trips and more highway use but a 650 is more bottom end power and prob slower in the top end. It's not like a gsxr 1000 vs a Hayabusa bigger isn't always better It's about what you're doing with it. 400 more versatile and more aftermarket upgrades I would assume

    Give it some more herbs and you'll get to the top first time.
    Always look well ahead and keep your weight towards the back, the front will skip over the rocks and small ledges. Commit to your path and be a bit more aggressive on those bits.
    Choice video though and a very nice spot.
    Thanks.

      Z Shark Nice haha Dye has been a top of the line Paintball company since it began 20+- years ago. I think those pants were the Dye c4 or c5 model could be wrong. But they are so similar to motocross pants and actually some of them have built in knee padding. Great riding tho, the terrain would be a nice change from what we have here in Toronto!
