Awesome! This makes me super keen to try surf perch fishing! 2 ideas for future videos: -Oregon catfish tips -Which water systems are safe to eat fish from? Im always so worried about the mercury levels in the willamette/columbia river systems
Great list. One of my top favorites is Shad. Mostly because they're fun to bring into shore and they turn into Dungeness crab. I'm trying to get out to hopefully catch my first steelhead but the rivers are a bit funky at the moment... Soon! Oh and spring Chinook? Maybe one of my all time favorites!
Id have to agree with you on surf perch. I thought you might say black rock or ling. I have gone surf perch fishing and caught nothing all day and I caught 40 on another day. Its so crazy when it happens. Plus how many people come up to you and ask what your fishing for when no one else is fishing the beach lol. probably the most dangerous to fish for also if you don't know tides and weather conditions.
Very true. For lingcod and rockfish, unless they wander into the bays, you need to take a charter out into the ocean, so that dinged them on availability. And yeah, never turn your back on the ocean while surf fishing 🤙
Like the idea on this video. Can't wait to see part 2.
I filmed it right after this one, so it'll take just a few days to edit 🤙
I've never heard the measuring metric of "a 6 taco fish". That's such a genius perspective! Great video Scott! Very informative. 🐟
It's proven to be an accurate metric 🤤🌮. Thank you 🤙
Surf Perch baby!!
I definitely need to get out on the beach and harvest some fish tacos soon 🤙
@@TheTroutHammer If your in the Eugene area I’ll go with you! I’m always at the beach fishing. I’m the guy that fishes with PK a lot.
I'm in Albany, but I'm down!
@@TheTroutHammer Sweet! Hopefully the weather will get better soon and we can go.
Great video Scott, looking forward to the next one.
Thank you 🤙
my favorite is EE Wilson
Great video bud
Thank you 🤙

I love it 🤙
I love in Grants Pass and have never fished for Kokanee. Any suggestions on spots here in S.O.? I also love Rock Fish!
For kokanee, your closest bets may be Odell Lake or Crecent Lake. You do live on the envious Rogue River, though 😉🤙
@@TheTroutHammer sure do! Steelhead and trout galore!
@go48go I miss that river so much. I haven't fished it since 2015
Great video! Awesome ideas..hell ya.
Thank you 🤙

Ya man I hate climbing around the jetty but those fish are tempting for sure. @@TheTroutHammer
