Dude, I've been waiting a long for someone to show off a different colour. Love it!! Thank you for super kind words, you are a true professional in the sport!!
Love your content!! You and CSO are my only fishing content I can watch to the end. For the heater put a wood stove fan on the buddy. Hands down the best addition to my shack.
Hi Mac. Big fan. I must say the quality of your videos is getting better and better. Question, is your action packer , that is sitting behind you, lined with reflective material? Is it to keep things ,bait, from freezing? Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next adventure. Kind Regards Marty.
Thank you definitely appreciate it! I got it linned with reflective bubble wrap basically. Just makes it softer on gear bouncing around in there. Thank you appreciate it!
I got some brown head tubes with lime green bottom on em. Worked really well but lost the pack and havnt seen em since. I definitely would try some small black ones for some stocked trout 👌 keep up the good videos btw. Have a feeling your channel will grow quick 👍
Great video, would be nice to know what a fish is seeing. One of the rivers I fish the main bait is whitefish and more often than not they will hit a black streamer over a white one.
Good stuff Mac. The black Tube probably resembles a leech or crayfish which may cause a reactionary "pin them to the bottom" response. Just my opinion.
Hey Mac, what's the battery you're running on your livescope? I just recently got the LVS34 and my 18ah isn't cutting it. I saw the 16.8 volts and was wondering - is it a Norsk, or Powerhouse lithium?
I've been using countdown rapalas through the ice for trout for years. Drop em to the bottom, rip it a few times, then when they chase just a steady retrieve keeps it swimming awesome and they eat the crap out of it.
@MacMulligan people laughed when I was ripping rattle traps 25years ago. Now we accept ripping raps as common ice tackle. Tried a countdown once for the heck of it probably 15 years ago and it's either that or a Williams warbler I go to every time as my main lure.
The closest lake to me that has lake trout and stream trout I tried fishing 4-6 times out in deep water. Moved up to 15 feet one day for rainbows and hooked up with a couple lakers. Definitely don’t get stuck fishing deep water. I had a buddy fishing the same lake that caught one in 4ft of water a few weeks after.
I went out Saturday and I used 9 different lures. Didn’t matter what u did they would chase up from 100 feet to 20 and then turn around. Didn’t matter what I did.
Great content. Idk about Manitoba, but in Saskatchewan, that would technically be a snagged/fouled fish and is to be released, so....no goal, bud. Lol Keep them coming...tight lines!
My thought is you have to drop it to the bottom because of the barometric high pressure. When it gets down to -25 or colder, the fish are glued to the bottom. I have to drop it down and wiggle the jig on the bottom. Spoon work great then. Or at least that is how it works for me. Lol.

Appreciate it buddy !
Even the mighty Mac mulligan catches little ones. Great video buddy. Thanks for the content
Thanks for watching!
It took a minute for your heater to catch up with you. Good to see you whack a few!
Great tips Mac... well done. Looks cold af in there :O
Definitely far from tropical!!
My uncle would use large suckers for lake trout bait and caught a 26 lb lake trout out of a northern Vermont lake. Thanks for the video
Super cool! Thanks for watching!

Yes they definitely do make a big difference!
Appreciate it!
really?! They make that big of a difference? I guess I'll have to invest in one!

BINGO!
Nice video bud 👍 can’t wait to get up there!
You and me both!
great job, you know your stuff!

Yea a fisherman can only wonder
Awesome!
Cool out of the box thinking, I’ve used smelt tubes, half black half white with good luck, and heard smoke is good, almost black.
Absolutely 💯 💯
Good stuff Mac. The black Tube probably resembles a leech or crayfish which may cause a reactionary "pin them to the bottom" response. Just my opinion.
Definitely possible!
Do you sing ebony and ivory when your driving out to lake trout fish ? Asking for a friend . Great video Mac
You should get a primer pump on your skidoo. Three pumps and it starts first pull.

48amped outdoors battery
well now.... I suppose I'm gonna have to try black in my neck of the woods! Good vid man!
Thank. You appreciate it! Hope they work for you!
16.8 volts on the livescope? What battery are you running?
Amped 48AH myself for that voltage.
Thank you!

They have definitely been know to catch a few fish 😉

@@eduffy4937 interesting.
What model sonar do have and what transducer did you use with it? LiveScope sure seems to be a game changer! Thanks
Lvs 62 it definitely is nice for lake trout
whats your opinion on the steelshad?
They work well at times absolutely 💯
What are you using for 'meat' on the tube? What size tube was it?
4" tubes with cisco belly!
What tent are you fishing out of size and brand
Clam X700
Is there anything that helps you choose to go deeper or not on any given day?
I like cloud cover for shallow stuff

Definitely don't get stuck in your ways!
How big is your shelter? It seems huge!
This was a clam X700
Mac they eat the black on bottom looks like leches to them good job

That sounds familiar!
Soak the rubber baits in some sardine or tuna fish oil the night before
@ got a derby next weekend I’m going to give that a try
Great content.

Hahaha 😆 😂
What's the difference between high quality baits and super high quality baits? Is there some kind of a gauge out there? Asking for a friend.
Consistency and precision finish is what i call high quality. Strong hooks, centered in the led

They do get glued to the bottom sometimes. Definitely can be grouchy
The only thumbs down must be from a ninja who is offended of the name ninja tube😅😅😅
Nice
Thank you
I wonder if they were taking it off the bottom because it looked like a little baby burbot
Definitely possible
I slay them on clown colour tubes.
Deadlay!!
Thanks buddy!
❤️👊💪🎣
Man I can’t wait for the end of the month! Bringing the daughter up for a trip!
Heck yea buddy!!
