Ten Mile Lake near Florence is great for Bass! Also for duck hunting!

I haven't fished Ten Mile in more than a decade, but it is definitely a prime bass destination 🤙

Years ago, we were at a 4H event at Jackson County Expo and there were a couple guys in wetsuits, armed with spearguns diving and fishing for carp. I don't know how legal it was, but they got a couple huge ones. They said there were giant goldfish in there too 😂😂

What’s the location for your carp lake/pond? I also live by A lake that has 20+ pounders in it that I have actually seen caught by somebody that moved here from the UK. While talking to him, he claimed that he owned the unofficial record for the biggest car in Oregon at 36+ pounds… It’s unofficial though, because they don’t recognize it as a sport fish in Oregon.

MANY lakes and rivers in this state don't have carp in them. None of the High Cascade lakes, Lake of the Woods, Fish Lake, Applegate lake, Applegate river, Rogue river, Deschutes river, Alsea river, Yaquina river...list goes on and on.

I'd like to verify that. I'm almost certain I've personally seen carp in the Rogue

@TheTroutHammer no no. Much too cold and clean.

@cameronmcguire7392 I know they like heat, having seen them partially on the bank sunning themselves in the summer, but I have many times caught them in cold and clean water. I could be mistaken, too. It's why in my video I said "you'd have a hard time finding a rover they aren't in," because of how common they are

@@TheTroutHammer and carp are awful. We shouldn't advocate for them in any of our waterways.
