I not really big on watching react videos, but I'll click on a video every now and again because it's the closest I'll get to watching shit like Head Bangers Ball like when I was a kid. I kinda miss those days watching MTV and shit when they actually played music and had music news.
David is a pretty good channel. He also critiques songs based off of the musicality of them. Very similar to how you critique songs. Definitely check him out. Highly reccomend.
@@d.hodgsky Oh I'll freely admit I'm silly, we're supposed to be having fun doing this stuff. It's no fun when everyone is "so serious all the time". So yeah I definitely throw some humor in there when I can.
Okay. Dude. Got to the end. Most reaction videos are fake; they watch the thing well in advance. You're one of the few people who actually sit down to something for the first time and have a genuine reaction. That's one of the reasons I subscribe to you and very few other reaction peeps. Well, that and you play guitar like a MFin badass. That's important shit, right there, my dude.
to be fair to David, the editing of this made it seem as though he accepted the scripts and pay for reviews. they cut him off at the point he says he doesn't do paid reactions. i love his inside views of the music industry, and his views as a musician himself.
I love how mainstream media covers thing that have already been going on like its a brand new thing and talk about it like "well would ya look at what these crazy kids are doing, What knuckleheads !"
I literally discovered Lorna Shore through one of your videos and they are one of my favorite bands now. So yeah, if not for your channel I probably wouldn’t have heard them.
I have to say a few things from my perspective on reaction channels . 1) we have this TV show in the UK called Gogglebox, where handpicked people get paid to react to TV shows. It's bloody awful because I am not interested in what other people think about TV shows I don't watch. My original view on reaction channels was I'm not interested , it's jumping the shark -watching people listening to music. But ....but ... I started during lockdown with the amazing Beth Roars and Charismatic voice , singing teachers talking about the singers . (Ps did you all see the Lorna shore voice cam throat thingy.... wow. ) So that piqued my interest and I rediscovered Nightwish, a band I'd not listened to because I didn't like tarja's vocals . Suddenly I'm watching floor Nightwish through different reactors , and hooked . But then I'm watching them, listening to old favourite bands and discovering new ones, some I love (Sabaton ) others not keen (Lorna shore) . New songs are listened to through some of you to get your view. So yeah, you reactors are in some ways reviewers (and no-one does lyric dissection like Vin and Sori btw . They got me into behemoth more than anyone else ) . So yeah. And in general mainstream media be it fox , BBC or the guardian or whatever , is crap when it comes to metal . Always will be. Oh final thought. Reactors. Get listening to bands such as Tabahi , Skinflint , overthrust, Arka'n, Karachi butcher clan Prineaval etc...IE non mainstream bands from Africa , south aisia etc . Use your position to bring new stuff to attention . Spread the word on them
Came for a few bmth reactions, got introduced to many great bands and guitar riffs. I had no clue wtf metalcore is and because of your reactions i have a guitar and able to play metalcore songs following your tabs)
This is the second time Fox has gotten some “non Traditional Fox demographic” online presence to come on and speak on behalf of an entire community, and then absolutely bungle the entire interview and misrepresent 90% of the people in that community.

Sick!), I'm going to say i agreed with all your justification and opinions about us as reactors.. your fans from 🇲🇾 MALAYSIA! 🤟

that clip showing up was like, the most anti climatic moment in my life i was expecting a breakdown hitting you like a fucking train and you getting your mind blown :(
I get a lot of random ads due to restricting the personalized ads option on social media. However since i linked my spotify to my facebook an era ago, i now get a lot of band ads thru my feeds - and i really don't mind. Other than that i hate ads lol

@@mrnordyk1125 Yes exactly, thank you. I actually took it a step further, and I put one of them on blast in a video I did. I learned very quickly that I shouldn't do that, because I ended up giving them exactly what they were looking for: publicity and exposure.
I agree with that David guy, only slightly though, there are some reactors who know what they're talking about and offer actual information about music, composition, equipment, lyrics, technique's and offer constructive criticism where as there majority of reactors don't know shit and have nothing to offer about what they're actually listening too
The thing about that is when people say it’s free advertisement, it is to an extent. Buying albums is about as much money as they get because merch and tickets to live shows go to the artist and then the also the companies behind the merch or behind the venues. So I do understand why they copyright stuff with that
David heretic is a rare reactor, I’ve been subbed since he had 7 subs, I can say I’ve seen his journey on RUclips and he connects with the fan base like no other. Every promotion he receives, he makes sure to tell us in the community section on RUclips. He posts regularly on community posts which so many reactors don’t do, in facts so many reactors don’t even read comments. And about the script thing. David has shown us the bands and the smaller labels that asked for “reactions” so no dishonesty from there, so from his experience it is accurate. And your experience is different from others keep that in mind. But I understand your ignorance by just using the fox video. David is honest and has integrity. Also David is a touring musician. His musical knowledge is amazing, and he comments on his reactions videos with amazing depth. You’d be surprised how knowledgeable he is. Just wanna finish by saying that David heretic isn’t like most reactors. NO ONE analysis music like him on RUclips. Keep in mind not everyone lives In the same world, everyone has different experiences…

Nik is the only reactor that I watch and probably ever will. And I'm not even a fan of reaction vids. There's just something with Nik's energy when he does his react vids and his analyzation of the songs and I liked it
hey nick i've been learning how to write music based on your videos and you've given me a huge jump start. thank you nick
David heretic is the goat, hes prob the most honest reactor ive ever seen
FEELIN' YOU Aspect!!! I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad you enjoy what I do....but I am far from the best and I can always do better.
@@THEDavidHeretic i agree, but your sheer compasion for music, the honesty everything is amazing!
2:11 about that you are the only reason I know bleed from within and I thank you so much for that
The Next Day.... "Hey I'm Nik Nocturnal and today were checking out the latest Beyonce music video."
I not really big on watching react videos, but I'll click on a video every now and again because it's the closest I'll get to watching shit like Head Bangers Ball like when I was a kid. I kinda miss those days watching MTV and shit when they actually played music and had music news.
I think it's absolutely hilarious Nik getting so riled up about the wrong spelling of his name 🤣🤣 but totally understandable 😂
I found so many new music because of Nik, including reactions and spotify playlist. Thank you bro.
We're on page 87 of the script, Nik.
was literally introduced to slaughter to prevail, electric callboy, and WBTBWB by you. never would have found and listened otherwise.
I never clicked on a notification so fast before holy feuck
felt that😂
Quack
Hjonk
I honestly would not know so many bands if not your reactions. Most of my favorite bands were shown to me by you.
Man I love Nic Nocturnal!
I like how you were groovin when they showed you.
David is a pretty good channel. He also critiques songs based off of the musicality of them. Very similar to how you critique songs. Definitely check him out. Highly reccomend.
He seems like a little bit of a silly goose to be honest.
@@d.hodgsky that's fair
FEELIN' YOU Mark!!!
@@THEDavidHeretic and the same to you man! Really dig your stuff and enjoy your criticism on the songs and bands you reac to. Can't wait for more.
Nic Nocturnal on Fox news!!! Next time they hopefully can read better....
Nik, reacting to the news, reacting to the reactor, reacting to rectors, reacting to music videos.
We've reached the pinnacle people!
to be fair to David, the editing of this made it seem as though he accepted the scripts and pay for reviews. they cut him off at the point he says he doesn't do paid reactions. i love his inside views of the music industry, and his views as a musician himself.
Yep, love watching David's channel.
Actually, it was explicitly said that he turned all the offers down. Or did I hear it wrong? 🤔
@@santanebulae I don't think I saw that in this video (I may have missed it) but I know he has said it on his channel.
@biglew11 not trying to call you out or something, just saying that you're right :) and it is said in the video at 4:47, just rewatched this bit
@@santanebulae it's all good I just didn't remember seeing it in this version of the video.
very honest and insightful comments on this news article
appreciate it
It was a typo, they were gonna spell it as Nick 😏
Spread the word on them
yeah?! nic? unbelievable 🤣
*Band Nik introduced me to:*
-Gojira
-Chelsea Grin
-Architects
-White Chapel
*Bands I have seen live because I saw Niks vids:*
-Gojira
-Chelsea Grin
-Architecs
-White Chapel
This was by far my favorite reaction from you Nik! 😂
Nic*
I’ve seen some of David Heretics videos, he seems pretty cool and passionate about what he likes
Awesome vid nik
Nic*
@The Horizon Blue thx you❤️
I have a small metal reactor channel of my own that reacts to metal bands in my country and other countries as well and trust me i did't get any paid from any music company and i did the reaction because i love metal music, and i'm a fan of your channel as well nick ( love ur guitar skills bro! Sick!), I'm going to say i agreed with all your justification and opinions about us as reactors.. your fans from 🇲🇾 MALAYSIA! 🤟
They literally spelled Nik's name wrong even when it's literally right under the overlay. Yep, that's Fox News for you! 😂😂
It's true. I've found a ton of new bands through reaction videos, including your own. Hell, I only got back into metal through a Charismatic Voice reaction.
that clip showing up was like, the most anti climatic moment in my life
i was expecting a breakdown hitting you like a fucking train and you getting your mind blown :(
Lost in Vegas are great and provide some awesome insights on lyrics, etc.
Looks like you're famous Nik👍
I get a lot of random ads due to restricting the personalized ads option on social media. However since i linked my spotify to my facebook an era ago, i now get a lot of band ads thru my feeds - and i really don't mind. Thru those ads and channels like this i find some awesome groups that i really enjoy. So in a time where advertising is everywhere you look, it's cool to see this scene trying to expand. Other than that i hate ads lol
The grey-haired guy: "We are the new journalists"
Also the grey-haired guy: "We get paid to give our opinion"
That's not journalism, that's maintaining the shit that transformed journalism into massive public-spreading shit. And I'm not talking about what we have today, but what we are supposed to have on info things.
That is not at all what I said. Watch the entire news piece, not the clips provided here, and hear exactly what I said.
He said he was proposed/offered by label to do it for money and with scripts but he didn't want to do it.
@@mrnordyk1125 Yes exactly, thank you. I actually took it a step further, and I put one of them on blast in a video I did. I learned very quickly that I shouldn't do that, because I ended up giving them exactly what they were looking for: publicity and exposure.
I agree with that David guy, only slightly though, there are some reactors who know what they're talking about and offer actual information about music, composition, equipment, lyrics, technique's and offer constructive criticism where as there majority of reactors don't know shit and have nothing to offer about what they're actually listening too
8:35 bruh does Nik think that Fox News audience can actually read? xd
Well it's not fake news CNN or MSNBC
The thing about that is when people say it’s free advertisement, it is to an extent. Buying albums is about as much money as they get because merch and tickets to live shows go to the artist and then the also the companies behind the merch or behind the venues. So I do understand why they copyright stuff with that
You think no reactors use a script? No reactors get paid? LOL
*cough*Alex Hefner*cough*
now I need some context
You are correct, I did watch this because I was bored - thank you for the brief save from that boredom!
David heretic is a rare reactor, I’ve been subbed since he had 7 subs,
I can say I’ve seen his journey on RUclips and he connects with the fan base like no other.
10:11 you at the lie berry?
