This could've easily been so much longer. Charlie doesn't talk a lot about music, hell he never even talked about how or if he was even the one actually singing the amazing harsh vocals in Skynut. Charlie is an extremely cultured man and I'll never get bored of listening to him. Also please do some stupid over the top heavy fucking shit collab 😎

Charlie's content got me hooked exactly because of how he can talk, talk and just keep talking without either sounding like an idiot or going "Uhh" every two words.

Great video Nik I remember first finding Charlie and will never forget how much he stood out in 2016, he made so many videos all of types of content and very few had a detailed titles or thumb nails, its all just pure great content edited by the Original man himself, it was great to finally also relate to him on a musical level! One of the best Creators ever!

For me it was Hybrid Theory by LP as well. I guess that album changed a lot for people of that generation. Same for Slipknot - Subliminal Verses VOL 3.
I forgot about Sybreed until Charlie mentioned them. Bioactive is a banger of a banger. I remember like 10-15 years ago when on RUclips you could actually search "genre metalcore" or whatever and sort by rating and you would find songs with a thousand likes and one dislike. Now you try that and you get literally a million videos with one like and zero dislikes completely unrelated to the search. Google made RUclips unsearchable, ironically.
Seems like a "reupload" (from his other channel) with some of Nik's swearing bleeped out and possibly a few things rearranged.
No I watched the original & the start is missing & other bits feel moved around for some reason because i watched the stream & the original 😅 but this feels different like some key points feel that I remember came alot earlier than what I remember them to be 😅

Sybreed were amazing, Antares and Slave Design are two of my favorite albums ever.
I remember the classic Critikal, way back when all of his commentaries had some melodic death in the background. Like the skiing video.

My gateway was Metallica and My Chemical Romance. Then i went to A7X and BFMV before a friend showed me Asking Alexandria, and i found Dethklok and a few other bands throughout the guitar hero game. I'm still finding bands as i go. So far, the latest I've discovered are Lamb of God Lorna Shore and Shadow of Intent. I've been listening to metal since 5th grade in 2009 (if i remember the year right).

I kinda wanna chime in on fav bands: Bring Me The Horizon, no doubt, Kool-Aid really got me back into their stuff. But I recently gravitated more towards stuff like Dayseeker and Fit For A King, with some Spiritbox, Beartooth, Bad Omens, Architects and some others sprinkled in there.
