@11:15 if this actually makes your FPS go up, then your vram is not large enough to support all the textures on streets, the game generally just loads in everything, even if you dont need it. But if you vram is maxed, it ill load in and out textured. So another solution is to turn on MIP streaming, which will use your RAM as a temp location for the textures rather than your vram....

I only gained one thing from from this video. But that one thing was huge, but an extra 800mhz of ram for enabling xmp was worth it. Best guide out of the 10 I have watched so far
The biggest thing I noticed is that when my total RAM usage hits about 75% (32 GB total), Tarkov starts to stutter when I turn my head. I tried turning off page file because I assumed it was swapping with page file, but that just caused my PC to BSOD because Tarkov was trying to dump into a non-existent page file. I think the biggest hitters here (considering Tarkov is often CPU bound) are going to be: 1. standby clear, to help with page file/RAM 2. low LOD 3. reducing FOV (rendering less objects = less CPU) 4. medium textures (this apparently helps a lot with the RAM/VRAM issue)

What could be the reasons so i can go back and maybe tweak some of these settings in the video? thansk in adv!!
Hey Flinn, so I'm assuming the other settings that were changed besides the tarkov specific ones, they'll help me with other games too? Like Lasso and Empty Standby List, that should help with other games I run too, right?
i went from 40 to 70 fps in customs big thanks dude, this is the first video where 3rd party apps that are recommended actually make sense in downloading
Reinstalled windows a couple weeks ago, completely forgot about these things when it comes to tarkov. My standby memory was 18 gigs out of the 32 i have lol thats why it was running sht. Flinn once again saves the day!
Yooooooo I thought I had done everything to wring out FPS but lasso and empty standby changed eeeeverything. Basically doubled my FPS on my 3070ti and I can finally use my full refresh rate on my monitor. No stuttering, aim drastically better, have had the game for like 5 years (on and off play, first time being really consistent) and its never felt this smooth.
I took my time and did all the changes step by step. Even tho my game looks slightly better it feels WAY smoother, less stuttery and +5-10 FPS. THANKS alot for the work and the tipps. Cheers mate!
most realistic comment so far, people claiming to double fps is such bullshit, there are multiple videos proving this is impossible with only software changes..
The full screen optimization's make my game screen go black then everything re appears, happens when I go back in game. When I loaded into a raid while tabbed out it turned black and wouldn't let me close tarkov but apart from that everything was very helpful

Does dlss cause you to have ghosting with red dots when moving? I get it it almost unplayable with dlss on. Also i dont think you need lasso you can modify cpu priorities through task manager.
@@xtakeroflifex7957 I think you can do CPU priorities, but this is just a piece of software that helps out and simplifies it. As for the DLSS, dlss is basically the game running with 1080p with upscalling (720p if u play 1080 native) so pretty much using AI and predicting what the game should look like, it gives frames, but in my honest opinion, I will not be using it, the visibility with it compared to 1440p native is unplayable for me and I already get ok-ish frames, sacrificing that much visibility for frames is a no-go for me.
quick tip: if you still struggle a lot with fps, turn on fullscreen because the game likes to put you in borderless mode which for me takes away atleast 10 fps (i don't know if he mentioned this in the video)
didnt know about that version of the ram cleaner setup, i just had ISLC on my old rig but now im not using it anymore, but I did set up this one cuz its so good.
hi, good guide, but what about "Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling" in Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings, or Game Mode in system settings, it should be on or off? i saw some people have it enabled some off
Just a heads up for anyone crashing alot it might be due to xmp being enabled as thats how i fixed my crashing. You can also fix it by messing around with XMP settings but i am not really into that
@PixelMoments774 actually that could be a simple problem of ram voltage. On my previous motherboard, only the ram speed and latency were changed by the XMP setting and I had to change manually the voltage to what was written on the sticks, otherwise of course it crashed.
>Ryzen 7 5800x3D literal micdrop for EFT performance, that cache is insanely good. I'm on a 3070/Ryzen 7 5800, and my friend is on a 3070/Ryzen 7 5800x3D; same settings and he is pulling consistent 144 fps(depending on map), while i'm struggling to keep a 100.
Tip: Shift + DEL is perma delete, dont need to empty the bin :D Edit: Disable fullscreen optimization is better to be off, is currently worse when its on, and EFT_BE.exe is the AntiCheat, dont change anything. Nice video btw 🫡
Anyone else run into the issue on Process Lasso when you go to CPU Affinity > Always I don't have Disable SMT... instead I have Disable Hyper Threading. Not sure what to do here.
When it comes to CPU Affinity, i prefer to only disable the E-Cores, when using Process Lasso theres also no need to use the ingame setting that is supposed to only use physical cores. I have Core 0-15 enabled, with 16-23 disabled, also i have discord, winamp and some other progs set to 16-23 to unload the P-Cores. For reference i have a i9-12900k with Windows 11 and 64GB of DDR4 with XMP, which has better scheduling that Windows 10, since changing from Win 10 to Win 11 i got better performance with hyperthreading on as opposed to off.
Please do not turn off full screen optimisations if you run the game in full screen, just makes alt + tabbing take 10 seconds, whithout a fps increase (on my computer). With full screen optimisations on and using full screen I never get black screens while tabbing out, and it happens instantly, like it was borderless.
great video. wasn't needing more FPS but the brightness settings really helped. Some areas in the dark were completely black. People I played with could see everything fine but that helped.
You can close the task scheduler tab since that is running in the background anyway, just close process lasso and leave it running in your system tray!
This video FIXED my computer! So helpful, thank you! I am tech savvy and had no idea my computer was bogged down by these issues. I thought I just needed to upgrade...
8:07 isnt there an option in game that makes the game only use physical cores basically ditching all hyperthreaded/smt'ed threads? edit for me personally there was absolutely no difference between binaural on and off
Yeah, some say the physical cores work only for one raid and then you would have to restart the game for them to work again, for me personally I see 0 performance change with it ON or OFF...

True that, also, gaining FPS on supersampling is weird af 😂
I am running a rtx4090, maybe the game puts more load on the gpu since it would render a higher res... only way i can think of it
Because the game is crazy heavy on the cpu. I have to run ultra settings to put load on gpu and get the same fps as if running low graphics
you might try supersampling aswell hahah. maybe it's the same for you @thezohan3129
@@Sazujin_ damn I have a 7900XT and its dying for this game to utilize it, I'm gonna try supersampling lol
It's crazy how much the virtual memory helped me, 100% worth trying it.
Glad to hear it! 👊
10/10. this video made me realise I've had my 3600mhz RAM capped at 2666 since before I can remember. we share incredibly similar NVIDIA/in-game settings and can confirm streets is *chefs kiss* RUNNING
Game Changing. Thank you. Saw a 54 frame increase total.
👊😎
For some people the "Only use physical cores" setting turned on might decrease fps..It happens to me
me too

WHAT!!! I had 35GB of logs just sitting around! Thank you man.
thanks, mate. I really like how in-depth you go explaining what everything does and why it does it. gained a sub here
Thanks for watching! 👊
Problem....first off great video, truly. Even tho im having really bad stuttering problems now, i know its on my end not yours. But anyways, my game is suuuuper stuttery now, even tho the frames did go up by like 20. What could be the reasons so i can go back and maybe tweak some of these settings in the video? thansk in adv!!
That is odd, make sure your game is on normal/high priority and not below normal or whatever.
Hey Flinn, so I'm assuming the other settings that were changed besides the tarkov specific ones, they'll help me with other games too? Like Lasso and Empty Standby List, that should help with other games I run too, right?
Yeah, should work with other games as well!
@@FLINNest cool, testing it out now on tarkov. Thanks for the video, hope it helps!
This is easily the best optimisation guide. Thanks mate!
Thanks for watching! 👊
what are you using for a fps counter?
I use the in-game fps counter, write "fps 1" into console!
@@FLINNest thanks! been over a year since i played and couldnt remember the commands
that stand by list thing worked dog i had like 14g on standby then it went to like 300mega bytes lol
i went from 40 to 70 fps in customs big thanks dude, this is the first video where 3rd party apps that are recommended actually make sense in downloading
Thats awesome bro, glad to help! 👊
They also added FSR 3.0 now and removed 1.0, dont forget to give it a try!
Amazing Settings details Thank you! subscribed
Appreciate it! 👊
8:50 you forgot to mention you should do it on the drive that eft is installed on, idk if that's pretty obvious for some people but good to know
It doesnt matter which drive it is on, but you should always use your fastest drive for the virtual memory.
GG's on this one mate. even with my rig I got some great info out of this
Glad to hear it! 👊
Reinstalled windows a couple weeks ago, completely forgot about these things when it comes to tarkov. My standby memory was 18 gigs out of the 32 i have lol thats why it was running sht.
Flinn once again saves the day!
👊😎
Just looked 24338MB .
DUDE! thank you.
Amazing, did it for my acer 3070ti and gained like 10-15FPS on customs (only tested there yet), thank you!
👊😎
Yooooooo I thought I had done everything to wring out FPS but lasso and empty standby changed eeeeverything. Basically doubled my FPS on my 3070ti and I can finally use my full refresh rate on my monitor. No stuttering, aim drastically better, have had the game for like 5 years (on and off play, first time being really consistent) and its never felt this smooth.
Love to hear it bro! 👊
I took my time and did all the changes step by step. Even tho my game looks slightly better it feels WAY smoother, less stuttery and +5-10 FPS.
THANKS alot for the work and the tipps. Cheers mate!
Glad to hear it mate! 👊
most realistic comment so far, people claiming to double fps is such bullshit, there are multiple videos proving this is impossible with only software changes..
The full screen optimization's make my game screen go black then everything re appears, happens when I go back in game. When I loaded into a raid while tabbed out it turned black and wouldn't let me close tarkov but apart from that everything was very helpful
i love you bro, went from 45-60 to now sitting smoothly at 60-95 frames
Glad to hear it bro! 👊

For me, in the Process Lasso, in the part CPU affinity, instead of saying "Disable SMT" it says "Disable Hypertheading". Should I disable it?
@@toxicproxic Give it a try yeah, forgot to mention that it is different between Intel and AMD users..
thanks for explainin what to do on a lower end system as well, every performance vid ive ever seen the dude has some god tier gigafuck 9000 thing that costs like 3K, I appreciate what you do man.
I am a Japanese viewer and I used this setup as a reference and my FPS is around 70! Thank you very much!
Glad to hear it! 👊
didnt know about that version of the ram cleaner setup, i just had ISLC on my old rig but now im not using it anymore, but I did set up this one cuz its so good.
hi, good guide, but what about "Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling" in Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings, or Game Mode in system settings, it should be on or off? i saw some people have it enabled some off
From what I understand sometimes it can make the performance worse, I personally never used it so you would have to test it yourself, sorry!
Really good video!!! Fast and detailed
Thanks for watching! 👊
>Ryzen 7 5800x3D
literal micdrop for EFT performance, that cache is insanely good. I'm on a 3070/Ryzen 7 5800, and my friend is on a 3070/Ryzen 7 5800x3D; same settings and he is pulling consistent 144 fps(depending on map), while i'm struggling to keep a 100.
5800X3D is amazing!
By far the best guide. Thanks!
Glad it helped!👊
Tip: Shift + DEL is perma delete, dont need to empty the bin :D
Edit: Disable fullscreen optimization is better to be off, is currently worse when its on, and EFT_BE.exe is the AntiCheat, dont change anything.
Nice video btw 🫡
Thats a solid tip, appreciate it 🙏
Anyone else run into the issue on Process Lasso when you go to CPU Affinity > Always I don't have Disable SMT... instead I have Disable Hyper Threading. Not sure what to do here.
Thats because you have an intel cpu, I forgot to mention it but it is basically the same thing!
For reference i have a i9-12900k with Windows 11 and 64GB of DDR4 with XMP, which has better scheduling that Windows 10, since changing from Win 10 to Win 11 i got better performance with hyperthreading on as opposed to off.
you've disabled more cores than most people's total CPU cores, haha.
Absolute LEGEND! Best setting set up I've seen I went from crappy 20-50 maybe fps to 144!!! Thanks a bunch!!

@FliNNest How do you do you're free cam fly arounds?
Tarkov Prime
@@FLINNest Ok thanks il look into that! Do you have a schedule for your streams? Im assuming you only stream on YT....

@@FLINNest Only found you yesterday, been really enjoying you're videos dude!
W video. I went from 30-40 on Streets and Ground Zero (R7 5800x and 3070ti btw) to 144 at 1440p
Damn, thats massive, glad to help! 👊
Thank u soo much my game boost like suiiiiiiii... not only tarkov i usually play seige ...man im having best time with fps thanks to u..
Glad to help! 👊
👊😎
do you have to have task scheduler and project lasso ruining in background every time
You can close the task scheduler tab since that is running in the background anyway, just close process lasso and leave it running in your system tray!
This video FIXED my computer! So helpful, thank you! I am tech savvy and had no idea my computer was bogged down by these issues. I thought I just needed to upgrade...
Thats awesome, glad I could help! 👊
Man you got a sub from me I never realized I had XMP disabled this whole time running at 2k instead of 3.2
🙏🙏
Disabling fullscreen optimizations crashed my game over and over. Fixed it by leaving it on.
Odd, never heard of that before, but at least you figured it out..
@@FLINNest Other than that great vid, helped heaps
thx man it helped me a lot, happy hunting and best of luck YOOOOO :)
i personaly use a program called ISLC to keep clean the memory, you wont need to create a task, it will do all automatically for you.
Yeah, I just prefer to keep my system tray as clean as possible..
It only works for one raid after you launched the game fresh.
Do i need process Lasso running in the background while playing tarkov?
I guess you need it when you launch the game, but it shouldnt take any significant resources so I would leave it running.
whenever i try with the standby list and i press ok it says "An error has occurred for task Empty Standby List, error message a task or folder with this name already exists please help
Delete the existing task or folder.
Maybe it would be useful to indicate what GPU you are using ?

doubling fps with software.. I CALL BS
@@jerbaancap5244He literally tripled it. 20 to 60 is absolutely impossible. That’s in case he didn’t run the game on max settings before that.
