Why would you optimize a game that is still in Beta and you're still making major changes to it on the backend? They'd just have to optimize it another 3 times before launch. You officially launch with 1.0, then you optimize, not the other way around. Yes it's inconvenient, but grow up, this is how all indie games function now, you should be used to it by now.
You can also set it to 1 minute if you click on the box (not the arrow next to it) and just type "1 minute". Unfortunately that's the smallest interval windows lets you set.

Also, with it off, when I’m medding or reloading it sounds like someone is behind me doing those actions. As far as I know b.a. decreases fps and puts stress on the cpu, but not by too much
Important PSA: try every setting for yourself. Me for example, I GAIN 5-7 frames when i play on 2x supersampling for some reason, which makes objects in the distance alot clearer and fps are more consistent.
didnt know about that version of the ram cleaner setup, i just had ISLC on my old rig but now im not using it anymore, but I did set up this one cuz its so good.
Tip: Shift + DEL is perma delete, dont need to empty the bin :D Edit: Disable fullscreen optimization is better to be off, is currently worse when its on, and EFT_BE.exe is the AntiCheat, dont change anything. Nice video btw 🫡
The biggest thing I noticed is that when my total RAM usage hits about 75% (32 GB total), Tarkov starts to stutter when I turn my head. I tried turning off page file because I assumed it was swapping with page file, but that just caused my PC to BSOD because Tarkov was trying to dump into a non-existent page file. I think the biggest hitters here (considering Tarkov is often CPU bound) are going to be: 1. standby clear, to help with page file/RAM 2. low LOD 3. reducing FOV (rendering less objects = less CPU) 4. medium textures (this apparently helps a lot with the RAM/VRAM issue)
When it comes to CPU Affinity, i prefer to only disable the E-Cores, when using Process Lasso theres also no need to use the ingame setting that is supposed to only use physical cores. I have Core 0-15 enabled, with 16-23 disabled, also i have discord, winamp and some other progs set to 16-23 to unload the P-Cores. For reference i have a i9-12900k with Windows 11 and 64GB of DDR4 with XMP, which has better scheduling that Windows 10, since changing from Win 10 to Win 11 i got better performance with hyperthreading on as opposed to off.
great video. wasn't needing more FPS but the brightness settings really helped. Some areas in the dark were completely black. People I played with could see everything fine but that helped.
Problem....first off great video, truly. Even tho im having really bad stuttering problems now, i know its on my end not yours. But anyways, my game is suuuuper stuttery now, even tho the frames did go up by like 20. What could be the reasons so i can go back and maybe tweak some of these settings in the video? thansk in adv!!

Reinstalled windows a couple weeks ago, completely forgot about these things when it comes to tarkov. My standby memory was 18 gigs out of the 32 i have lol thats why it was running sht. Flinn once again saves the day!
Very Useful guide.... After thinking I had a fairly good setup for the game I have found an all round increase in performance of around 40% after following this guide (for the most part although I tweaked a couple of you're suggestions to suit my Lower RAM PC - i7-9700K 16GB @3200MHZ & 3060TI setting Virtual Memory/Page File to 32000mb on NVME SSD C: drive and "Empty StandBy List" really helped significantly) 👍👍👍👍
Hy flinn! This guide helped me a lot my game is a lot more smoother. The only problem I have is that my connection with cable has become garbage, like going at 7 mbps instead of 70. Do you think that it could be related to some of the changing I’ve made following the video? Thank you very much!!
Ok I have been playing tarkov for some time now i try my best to get the best graphic settings I have a mid tier PC and it just always felt clunky i was about to give up on tarkov found ur settings and ill tell you this feels like a different game THANK YOU!
quick tip: if you still struggle a lot with fps, turn on fullscreen because the game likes to put you in borderless mode which for me takes away atleast 10 fps (i don't know if he mentioned this in the video)
Hey Flinn, so I'm assuming the other settings that were changed besides the tarkov specific ones, they'll help me with other games too? Like Lasso and Empty Standby List, that should help with other games I run too, right?
hi im a bit late to the party but i have a question. Do i always need to start processelasso before starting EFT or can i just clos it after doing everything and forget about it XD thank you in advance this guide seems to be the most helpfull one ive ever seen :D
Yoo, this video helped a lot. Even with my build I have i9 12900k and 32GB of DDR5 my game was running like shit. I will never run Tarkov again without Standby List and Process Lasso but I wanted to ask do I need the Task scheduler running all the time in the task bar? Also what will happen if I set the CPU to all time highest?
Glad to help bro! You can close the task scheduler, windows operates it in the background at all times for other stuff as well! I wouldnt recommend using the highest setting since your PC uses CPU for other things in the background as well, you could test it ofc, but if you use discord/chrome or whatever in the background, it might make them extremely slow!
Glad you liked it! Unfortunately I havent really played dayz in ages, but you can try the process lasso tips on it, I am sure it will have some effect! 👊
For everyone who has Ryzen just disable "Only use physical cores" and restart the game I got 25-27 fps boost and 0 stuttering Also, don't use Reflex (not working in this patch)
@@FLINNest I had Ryzen 5 5500 + GTX 1080 ti and before I played with ON and had FPS drops to 40-45 and a lot of lags after 1-3 game played. I've had stutterting on Rezerv and Streets, but after I disabled and restard game ( also make sure to clear logs ) my fps never drop below 72-75 and no stuttering at all.
You should turn on "Only use physical cores" if your CPU has hyperthreading (e.g. 6 cores 12 threads). If your CPU doesn't do hyperthreading (like my i-9400f, which has 6 physical cores only), then leave the box unchecked

Hope it solved your problems! 👊
Important PSA: try every setting for yourself. Me for example, I GAIN 5-7 frames when i play on 2x supersampling for some reason, which makes objects in the distance alot clearer and fps are more consistent.
True that, also, gaining FPS on supersampling is weird af 😂
I am running a rtx4090, maybe the game puts more load on the gpu since it would render a higher res... only way i can think of it
Because the game is crazy heavy on the cpu. I have to run ultra settings to put load on gpu and get the same fps as if running low graphics
you might try supersampling aswell hahah. maybe it's the same for you @thezohan3129
@@Sazujin_ damn I have a 7900XT and its dying for this game to utilize it, I'm gonna try supersampling lol
didnt know about that version of the ram cleaner setup, i just had ISLC on my old rig but now im not using it anymore, but I did set up this one cuz its so good.
i love you bro, went from 45-60 to now sitting smoothly at 60-95 frames
Glad to hear it bro! 👊
Man you got a sub from me I never realized I had XMP disabled this whole time running at 2k instead of 3.2
🙏🙏
listen here I have been looking for optimisations on tarkov for years and finally it works ! legend!!!!!
Glad to hear it! 👊
Finally someone explains everything rather than just saying ‘do this do that’
👊😎
Tip: Shift + DEL is perma delete, dont need to empty the bin :D
Edit: Disable fullscreen optimization is better to be off, is currently worse when its on, and EFT_BE.exe is the AntiCheat, dont change anything.
Nice video btw 🫡
Thats a solid tip, appreciate it 🙏
Amazing, did it for my acer 3070ti and gained like 10-15FPS on customs (only tested there yet), thank you!
👊😎
The biggest thing I noticed is that when my total RAM usage hits about 75% (32 GB total), Tarkov starts to stutter when I turn my head. I tried turning off page file because I assumed it was swapping with page file, but that just caused my PC to BSOD because Tarkov was trying to dump into a non-existent page file.
I think the biggest hitters here (considering Tarkov is often CPU bound) are going to be:
1. standby clear, to help with page file/RAM
2. low LOD
3. reducing FOV (rendering less objects = less CPU)
4. medium textures (this apparently helps a lot with the RAM/VRAM issue)
For reference i have a i9-12900k with Windows 11 and 64GB of DDR4 with XMP, which has better scheduling that Windows 10, since changing from Win 10 to Win 11 i got better performance with hyperthreading on as opposed to off.
you've disabled more cores than most people's total CPU cores, haha.
Absolute LEGEND! Best setting set up I've seen I went from crappy 20-50 maybe fps to 144!!! Thanks a bunch!!
Letsgoooo!! 👊
@@FLINNest can't wait to try it in online raids 😎
great video. wasn't needing more FPS but the brightness settings really helped. Some areas in the dark were completely black. People I played with could see everything fine but that helped.
👊😎
To clear cache on the new launcher press the "Game Settings" above the "Play" button!
🤣🤣 I get 180 fps across all maps with a 4070ti and i7 13700k
found out you can make the trigger go every minute but nothing lower
@@tortasatmidnight how do you make the trigger happen every min?
@@Flbodyman when you click on the bar itself instead of the drop down. Type 1 in place of the 5 and just hit enter and you're good
what bar?

Problem....first off great video, truly. Even tho im having really bad stuttering problems now, i know its on my end not yours. But anyways, my game is suuuuper stuttery now, even tho the frames did go up by like 20. What could be the reasons so i can go back and maybe tweak some of these settings in the video? thansk in adv!!
That is odd, make sure your game is on normal/high priority and not below normal or whatever.
subscribed! super clear and easy to follow. I re-learned a few things and learned some new ones. I appreciate you sharing this knowledge. shared to my friends. have a pretty healthy pc, but it all helps.
Glad to hear it bro! 👊😎
Thanks for watching!
very easy to follow thank you for the vid 😎
Thanks for watching! 👊
lookin thru a scope makes my pc go bananas lmao, gonna save this one for later
Thank for this video, very good and simple to understand the steps!
👊😎
GG's on this one mate. even with my rig I got some great info out of this
Glad to hear it! 👊
thanks, mate. I really like how in-depth you go explaining what everything does and why it does it. gained a sub here
Thanks for watching! 👊
Hey man love the video! Might I ask what DPI do you play on with the sensitivity that you have in the video?
0.38 sensitivity and 800 dpi.
Reinstalled windows a couple weeks ago, completely forgot about these things when it comes to tarkov. My standby memory was 18 gigs out of the 32 i have lol thats why it was running sht.
Flinn once again saves the day!
👊😎
Just looked 24338MB .
DUDE! thank you.
👊😎
Hy flinn! This guide helped me a lot my game is a lot more smoother. The only problem I have is that my connection with cable has become garbage, like going at 7 mbps instead of 70. Do you think that it could be related to some of the changing I’ve made following the video? Thank you very much!!
Nah, must be something else!
Ok I have been playing tarkov for some time now i try my best to get the best graphic settings I have a mid tier PC and it just always felt clunky i was about to give up on tarkov found ur settings and ill tell you this feels like a different game THANK YOU!
Glad I could help bro! 👊
quick tip: if you still struggle a lot with fps, turn on fullscreen because the game likes to put you in borderless mode which for me takes away atleast 10 fps (i don't know if he mentioned this in the video)
Thank u soo much my game boost like suiiiiiiii... not only tarkov i usually play seige ...man im having best time with fps thanks to u..
Glad to help! 👊
Hey Flinn, so I'm assuming the other settings that were changed besides the tarkov specific ones, they'll help me with other games too? Like Lasso and Empty Standby List, that should help with other games I run too, right?
Yeah, should work with other games as well!
@@FLINNest cool, testing it out now on tarkov. Thanks for the video, hope it helps!
Amazing Settings details Thank you! subscribed
Appreciate it! 👊
Sadly cant run tarkov even after that playable anymore, but thank you so much still. it increased performance for elden ring so much!!!
could not have been more perfect we have exact same specs
I don't know too much about this stuff but damn 1.2GB of logs. Thank you bro👍
Thanks for the guide! this was amazing. My only question is will I really have a need for DLSS if I'm on 1080p? I hear conflicting things
Best to try it out yourself, I was using AMD FSR on 1080p with my last rig, gained about 20-30fps depending on the map!
interesting, will give some of this a shot, thanks
By far the best guide. Thanks!
Glad it helped!👊
hi im a bit late to the party but i have a question. Do i always need to start processelasso before starting EFT or can i just clos it after doing everything and forget about it XD thank you in advance this guide seems to be the most helpfull one ive ever seen :D
It just has to be running when you launch the game basically, you can close it afterwards if you wish, I just leave it running myself!
For some people the "Only use physical cores" setting turned on might decrease fps..It happens to me
me too
@@adub255 Same
Really good video!!! Fast and detailed
Thanks for watching! 👊
I wouldnt recommend using the highest setting since your PC uses CPU for other things in the background as well, you could test it ofc, but if you use discord/chrome or whatever in the background, it might make them extremely slow!
thx man it helped me a lot, happy hunting and best of luck YOOOOO :)
Great advice here man! it helped me and the bois out alot!
👊😎
Last wipe i had 80 fps in the middle of interchange in this wipe i have only 45 fps... I will try tips from this video and it maybe helps me.
Hope it works! 🙏
fuck every other single guide i’ve watched. my god this is by far the best. watched lots of guides. helped so so much. thank you so much
Glad to help bro! 👊
Thank you very much! Very comprehensive and helpful video.
Thanks for watching! 👊😎
Still working as of nov2024, from 50-70 to 80-110. TY
8:50 you forgot to mention you should do it on the drive that eft is installed on, idk if that's pretty obvious for some people but good to know
It doesnt matter which drive it is on, but you should always use your fastest drive for the virtual memory.
Flinn hope u doin some more labs guides for this wipe, would appreciate!! Good video tho as always brother
You have to go clean it out from all the chinese gamers first! 😅
Mate this is by far the best guide i have seen awesome mate you have a new subscriber ps. Any tips for dayz?
Glad you liked it! Unfortunately I havent really played dayz in ages, but you can try the process lasso tips on it, I am sure it will have some effect! 👊
@@FLINNest haha yea i havnt played dayz in ages either but thanks heaps!
amazing video and results, thanksss !! :)
Game feels much smoother now, TY!
For everyone who has Ryzen just disable "Only use physical cores" and restart the game
I got 25-27 fps boost and 0 stuttering
Also, don't use Reflex (not working in this patch)
My fps does not move at all when turning ON or OFF 🤔
@@FLINNest I had Ryzen 5 5500 + GTX 1080 ti and before I played with ON and had FPS drops to 40-45 and a lot of lags after 1-3 game played.
I've had stutterting on Rezerv and Streets, but after I disabled and restard game ( also make sure to clear logs ) my fps never drop below 72-75 and no stuttering at all.
@@BloodyGamingReviews Damn, thats really good, I will try it OFF for a while then!
@@FLINNest Yeah, I hope it'll help you a little bit
Try it on hard maps like Rezerv or Streets
You should turn on "Only use physical cores" if your CPU has hyperthreading (e.g. 6 cores 12 threads). If your CPU doesn't do hyperthreading (like my i-9400f, which has 6 physical cores only), then leave the box unchecked
Any tips/videos on recording or streaming tarkov? when using borderless you get mad encoding lag but i'm like you i tab out alot. Just wondered if you had come across this issue and how you overcame it.
Never experienced it, but make sure you are using an NVIDIA NVENC encoder, takes the least amount of resources since its encoded by GPU.
@FliNNest yeah using nvenc on a 3080 very strange problem but appreciate you replying will test out those settings you added thx for vid
@@SoapMcScavish You can also try and giving OBS high priority, I have had windows put it below normal for me for some odd reason!
