I built my 347 three years ago for my 66 mustang. Its a roller engine with 10.5 compression, eldebrock heads and run a c-4 transmission. I built the nine inch rearend with 3:25 posi . I currently have over 2700 miles on it an so far no problems. As a bonus its a 5 number matching car!!
Running it without an air filter made my eyes water up :( Looks and sounds awesome! Something is holding it back though. Idk, maybe changing counter weights in distributor will help. Gearing…
@@thatmustanggt IC, nice if you can find it at 50% off. I run 100LL (100 octane low lead) airplane fuel and its a nice compromise. Costs more than 93 but much less than 110 octane.

If you're gonna go this crazy with a car, you need a 4 speed. Also, the C4 was for 289 engines, Ford put the C-6 in the big blocks, and this has similar or more power so......
With all due respect Sir, a stock C4 won’t handle a trans brake and a trans brake won’t work with out a stall converter. When you were backing up it took a lot of RPM before the car would move. That’s a stall. When you launch push the trans brake button, take your foot off the brake pedal, put the gas pedal on the floor. Look at the tach and see proof of your stall. It won’t show how big the stall is because a C4 won’t last 2 passes without a 2 step which keeps RPM’s below max stall at launch. Not being a smart ass just passing on my experiences. Hey badass Mustang much respect.🏁
@@maximusvonce1381 C4's are very easy to build and can be made to handle over 1000 HP no problem. In my experience they all work similarly. Hardened components with heavy duty bands and clutches etc is what makes or breaks them.

Where'd you get them gauges and all on that dash. I have a 67 cougar that I'm putting a stroker in and I want something similar
What type of fuel system you got in the 66 mustang? Thanks
Looking at it from the front, it has it's own personal character.

What E.T. is it running ?
What exhaust u have on that? Flowmasters?
james lanza it has flomaster 10 mufflers yes sir!
Sounds awesome to me
Now thats my idea of a ‘66 Mustang. Do you have to run race fuel or do you pay $10 per gallon just because you want to?
No it will run on pump gas just fine. We get the fuel about half price through our exhaust shop that’s the only reason we ever ran it.
