Very durable machine. I still have my original Saturn hooked up, and in January I'll have had it for 20 years. And there are a ton of good imports for the system, depending on what you like. Capcom fighters are always a joy on the Saturn, and a good one for that Pro Action Replay would be X-Men vs Street Fighter. As close to the arcade as you could get that generation, and the extra 4MB RAM really showed how good the game not only looks on the Saturn, but plays (with the helper characters you can call in to switch with you, something you couldn't do on the PS1 version). If you like Pinball, one game that might tickle your fancy may be Necronomicon Digital Pinball. Related to the Digital Pinball series by Kaze, this one has three tables with a Lovecraft feel, and a big plus is that the opening and ending music is performed by John Petrucci of Dream Theater. While there are a lot of good domestic games for the Saturn, in Japan there is an embarrassment of riches for the system.
Theodore Relic Ya man Xmen vs Street Fighter, SF Zero 3 and Xmen Children of the Atom were amazing on the Saturn! The PSX version of XvSF actually had a tag mode if you used the Gameshark with it. Not nearly as crisp, but you were able to enable it.
Metal J and beautiful co-host, this video is great and I’m under 4 minutes in! If you a Saturn Action RePlay 4M+ without a home, I’d be ecstatic and so grateful! I wonder if “Guardian Heroes” can use it for the slowdown when 30-40 bad guys need a relocation!
Getting Sega Saturn has made me so glad I started learning Japanese few years ago because of all the import games. Makes life much more simple. Japanese version of Panzer Dragoon Saga? No problem, 20 bucks.
Once you own a Saturn the only thing you should realistically be buying are CD-Rs so you can build a collection of Saturn Games. Unless you just have an endless disposable income.
Chilly Willy 88 If you want, you can visit my channel. I have uploaded some (PAL) Saturn gameplay videos, attract mode stuff etc. un-emulated. More to come in the future (Japanese, US games too). Thx. ☺
gfgfgf40 Yes, it's noticeable. But it's still playable in my opinion. Sometimes i use my modded Saturn (region-free, 50/60 hz switch) instead. In the 80's and early 90's i played all of my japanese games on my unmodded PAL Mega Drive. Modding was too expensive at this time in Germany..and as a kid..
Panzer Dragoon was my first contact with home 3d gaming after years and years playing the original NES. I was absolutely blown away and i spent many many summers shut in playing it. My favorite game ended up being Nights. To be honest, at the time, and for that generation of consoles, Nights was the most beautiful game ever. More than that, the 3D flying engine was so smooth, colors so bright and the all "vibe" of this surreal game still makes me want to play it today. Sadly, like many others, i sold it with 12 games for almost NOTHING for college beer money. Did the same with my NES and Original game boy with over 20 games each. I profoundly regret those stupid decisions. The only retro console i still have is the Dreamcast. I will start collecting for it.
I love the Sega Saturn! It is the biggest part of my huge video game collection. My personal favorite game is Shining The Holy Ark followed closely by Magic Knight Rayearth and Shining Force III
The Badcompany Gaming I’m hoping and praying for an English translation (ntsf region1) Shining Force 3: Parts 2-3 (I’ll play them on PC, DC, Saturn, 2600- any version is better than no Chapters 2&3! Any ideas? I’d never played turn-based before this. I was enthralled! Then SEGA said “no 2 or 3 for English”. Brother Metal, how can finish the game I started?
The Badcompany Saturn is also why I made sure to keep a 31” CRT (it weighs 1,624lbs)- for Virtua Cop 1 & 2! (Light guns only work with CRT). And many gamers feel playing older games look *better* on CRT- I agree! It sounds backwards, but I’m guessing you know ll of that already. Great video! Thank you!
@@sideswipe1261 Have you since found out that Parts 2 and 3 can be played on reproductions with a Pseudo Saturn cartridge? You can even get the fully translated Premium Disc.
The Badcompany #ShiningForce3Part1of3 *sigh*. The chapter we did get was riveting! The first grid-based tactical RPG I ever played. I love my Saturn! If you haven't already got Tempest 2000, seek it out! I'll keep my eyes open too! It's so intense and trippy. Once I got the hang of it it became my biggest addiction (and for 1998/99 that's saying a lot for me! Lol!). Great rave soundtrack too! (The soundtrack was actually released as a commercial audio CD as it was so loved!)
I've recently (within 2 months) read that fans translated the text for parts 2 and 3! unsure of platform/emu it's on. I could be wrong, but think they really swapped out the in game Japanese text with English (compared to a stack of paper print outs, which I'd also be happy for!). There is hope! I have Shenmue II in English for Dreamcast, and Half-Life w/the Blueshift big bonus quest. I'm 100% SEGA, but they frustrate me when they refuse to do even simple things in huge demand by hardcore fans! *WakeUp #SEGA*! So many are willing to throw you money! Yet you've done nothing to make it happen? Weird.
In 2010 while I was living in singapore, I saw a classified ad for a saturn collection. I got a modded japanese saturn, 2 guns, 2 controllers, probably 50 games and an action replay card. Cost like $120. I still play it all the time.
NiGHTS came out after the N64 launch (in the US). The 3D controller was released with NiGHTS in Dec 1996. The N64 was in development with an analog stick for a couple of years and the controller was revealed in 1995. So the N64 the first
Not only that but before both the n64 and Saturn we had aftermarket Genesis controllers with an analog stick to make flight sims easier. N64 only has one claim and that's it used cartridges FAR beyond everyone stopped using them. And I know that it was a choice madeby Nintendo and it allows for instant load times but if thier cartridges were so great then why did Nintendo invent the 64DD?
Great video - After switching to using RGB SCART with an upscaler I have been amazed at how good the games look! Heres a few import titles I would recommend 1. Batsugun 2. Thiunder Force V 3. Donpachi / Dodonpachi 4. Akumajo Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight 5. Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru 6. Shining Force III (all 3 scenarios, which recently got a US translation patch)
I bought a Saturn before playstation, because ps was sold out that Christmas, I drove 226 miles and I wasn't disappointed, killer graphics and great packed-in games. I got tomb raider and panzer dragoon saga later. I absolutely loved Virtua Cop 2 with dual guns, it was awesome. great job o7, I miss my Saturn.
It's already good . You know in France we speak not very English, so the effort is praiseworthy. I love the videos of MJR. They are very interesting I also like when you are with him as on video today. Thanks for the reply and soon
Great video! Not sure if it's an exclusive (I wanna say it is) but Bubble Symphony was the Bubble Bobble for Saturn. Also recommending the vertical shmup 'Blast Wind' because it's fun and because the name makes me chuckle. Cotton 2 is a fun cute'em up, too.
Anna made a huge visual change between last year and this year. Totally appreciate the video about the Saturn in detail. There are a lot of videos about Saturn but its great to see all the details and opinions from fellow gamer nerds (some of whom experienced the original launch as I did)
The SCART cable I got for my NTSC Saturn was $9.99 from Amazon. The converter was $35. Use it in 720p mode for the least input lag as that resolution is just 3x 240p. It's dope on an HDTV!
So I had a Sega Saturn as a kid and I just bought one to collect for it. The games I enjoyed as a kid are games that I recommend. One I highly recommend is Steep Slope Sliders. Its a snowboarding game very simple to pick up and play and very affordable. Some other games include Astahl, Sega Rally, Fighting Vipers, and Legend of Oasis. I played a lot of sports titles and my favorite is World Series Baseball 98. To me that is the best Baseball game for that time period. There are so many more games I can recommend. I wish is was a little more cheaper to buy games like it is for the Dreamcast.
Gillian Seed Good to know. Also, glad to see that the English translation of Policenauts on Saturn was completed recently; have been wanting to play it for so long. I know we had the PlayStation version for awhile.
Radiant Silvergun is the pinnacle of the Saturn for me. It is a shmup with a LEVELING system, most shooters, you die a lot. In Radiant, you die a lot, but keep your level, so you can breeze through earlier levels not only with memorization, but with a lot more power. That's the beauty of the game.
ShaolinGamer OUCH! is collecting really that pricey? It makes me happy I kept everything I bought (“Panzer Dragoon Saga” from a buddy that worked at Babbages)- he only asked me $40.00 for his Flawless copy, as he’d already beaten it.
I'd pay to tour Anna's Game room. Certainly one of the most expansive ones I've seen for someone so young. Thank you for sharing! I gave up on anything Sega in the 90's with no regrets
I have all of these games listed except Bomberman, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Three Dirty Dwarves. I love the Saturn so much, especially with Panzer Dragoon Saga; one of my favorite games of all-time. The console is up there as one of my favorites.
I watch your videos and the same videos over and over. I love gaming and you guys are passionate about it and it shows. It just feels like a good time when I'm watching.
I had a rgb scart to hdmi converter. Sadly sold my Saturn and games when I was married. Still had converter in the car but I gave back the car to my ex wife. Oh well, time to rebuild my collection.
Sorry to hear dude. But at least this time around you can mod it with various ODEs (Mode/Rhea/Phoebe/Fenrir) which replaces the cd drive with an sd card slot. Archive.org hosts alot of the games
Hi. Because of this video I started collecting sega saturn games back in November. I always wanted to do this since I was a kid but now that I can afford it I'm glad I'm doing it. I'm almost there
I loved my Sega Saturn as a kid. I squeezed every bit of life I could out of it. Over time the CD lid had issues opening and closing, the CD laser performance became intermittent and my favourite controller (second version) was falling apart. I did all the repairing little me was capable of to keep it going, but eventually it died :(. I still remember seeing previews of Fighters Megamix in a gaming magazine and literally dreaming of it (loved fighting games). The excitement when I finally got it was euphoric. Oh boy, the nostalgias kicking in >
You literally cannot talk enough about the epic Sega Saturn so please keep the vids coming! Its like the Soundgarden to the N64 an PS1's PJ and Nirvana. Criminally overlooked compared to the others.
Anna is very cute! 😍 I’ve been interested in getting a Saturn for awhile but didn’t think there were many good games. Now I know there’s plenty of fun games for the system.
Great to see Anna again, you have the best guests MJR. While I didn't own a Saturn it would've been worth it for puzzle fighter alone, I have so many fond memories playing that game for ages with my brother and sisters, it seemed to just gravitate everyone towards it. Great throwback, love and respect! x
it would be great if that Saturn version of shenmue was ever released/playable just to see what the platform could achieve pushed to its very limits. Suzuki has mentioned wanting to make it playable in some way, maybe as a bonus if/when Sega get gets to do a HD port?
Recently I released videos about: Atari 2600 + Sony Walkman Prototype, Best RPGs for Beginners, Metal Jesus Rocks Q&A - LIVE at Portland Retro Gaming Expo, Heavy Metal Vinyl Pickups, Pioneer LaserActive, Ultimate GBA (GameBoy Advance) - Modded to Perfection, etc... that more varied than most other RUclips channels.
Nice. Half a decade ago, I had saturn fever - played a lot of virtual fighter one, panzer dragoon and some slam and jam too. I may have had the system for twenty years - I played a lot of rentals on it and always liked its 3d capailities which got better though its life cycle. My main reason for liking it other than playinng audio cds was how many great arcade ports came to the system. I also own Daytona USA which is still fun.
I love this channel man. I recently got my Sega Saturn and it is one of the best consoles I have in my collection. Plus when I got it, I got it with the nights into dreams, great game!!!!!! Keep up the good videos MetalJesus I always watch them on my free time and get ideas for my collection. Thank you!!!!!
Fortunately Sega learned from their mistakes in the Saturn era and gave us PAL Dreamcast cases made out of the most brittle plastic they could find. :-) The PAL plastic Saturn cases are very nice and rugged, at least, it's just a shame so few games used them.
Lol, I found they just couldn't get the cases right on the Saturn in Europe. You either couldn't keep them shut or could not get them open depending on the case model
JDH 33 very true, I think I've got 3 different case styles in my collection. it does make my Saturn collection look a bit random! I must admit I'd rather they were all the same.
Legend of Oasis, Guardian Heroes, Dragon Force, Dark Savior and Three Dirty Dwarves are some of my favorite games. Some stay in my top 10 or top 25 forever.
Unfortunately Panzer Dragoon Saga will be the only real exclusive in videogame history. Its source code is completely lost so a port is impossible. Any remake must be started from scratch. It's a pity. This in one of the greatest games in history. Even my 11 year old nephew, that just plays XB360 and PS3 games loves it.
Albert Mas wow, I hadn’t heard the source code to Panzer Dragoon Saga is gone! How did they let that happen? Did they forget to click “save”? Any attempt to recreate it, even on the newest machines, would just be an echo of the real thing. It’s so unique, it’s very hard to describe! I should give Lando a call, see if he could store mine in carbonite!
@@sideswipe1261 For anyone knows the source code could be in a random garbage from someone who worked on the game for all we know. I know this was the case for a Sonic game I think. Still a shame it's currently lost though.
N64 was released in Japan June 23, 1996 then in North America September 26, 1996. Nights Into Dreams (and their analog stick controller) was released July 5, 1996. Its not even a discussion. N64 had the first analog stick controller. Put it this way: I was using the N64 analog stick on a demo system in Toys R Us before Sega's controller hit the shelves. Another great video.
So glad I got PDS when it was released, along with most of the games on your list. Always loved my Saturn and got my original I bought on release. Great video.
The prices on a lot of this Saturn stuff used to be affordable, but there's no way Id buy Sotn on it these days. I remember when batsugun went from $80 to $300 in the span of a month and STILL hasn't gone down. Just get pseudo saturn.
@@GiordanDiodato I have a good job thank you, I just don’t think £70 for a slightly above average for the time 25 year old game is worth it. You and the people who “thumbed up” your comment should be ashamed of yourselves. (Rude prick).
Magic Knight Rayearth (£300+) in a buying guide.. Seriously? Buying guides should be seen as quick starts to a console.. Eg 1. Ffvii, Tekken 3, Gran Turismo and Resident Evil 1 or 2 on the origional playstation.. Eg 2. Donkey Kong Country, Mario all stars, Mario Kart and starwing on SNES Putting MKR in there is like putting Suikoden 2 on a ps1 buying guide .. or Fire Emblem Path of Radiance on a Gamecube (or Goemon 2 boxed in a pal N64 guide XD) It's soo out of place, this is a prime example why you get bad comments about driving prices up on hidden gem vids..
Sephiroth Vale We had this discussion on the Sega Saturn Buy, sell, trade board (FB) how this hardware gets such a bad reputation for being expensive when there are plenty of value titles that are great (Nights, Manx TT, and an absolute slew of Imports)
I agree totally, I bought an asian sega saturn (HK model).. Which is awesome because it uses a UK plug socket, but plays Japanese games & Is the sexy white version.. Just for the imports :D
My all time favorite console. So many amazing 2D shmups and fighters. PS. Those arcade sticks shown here are pieces of shit. Get the japanese virtual stick if possible.
Just want to add a great game: Guardian Heroes. A great beat'em up that glued a nintendo fan like me to a SEGA console for more than a hundred hours easily.
If I had a Sega Saturn, I would get Saturn Bomberman, Sonic Jam, Sonic R, Street Fighter, Dead or Alive and other fighting games for it. I hate Virtua Fighter. The Virtua Fighter series aged really badly over the years and Sega never improved the series' gameplay mechanics. I am also not getting Sonic 3D Blast/Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island. That game is garbage.
Anna is so Rad! MetalJesus you have the best video game channel on RUclips. I just started collecting for my Sega Saturn again so this video helps a ton. Keep up the great work.

We need a karaoke video with Reggie
Please make this happen.
Great to see Three Dirty Dwarves again! I almost thought I was the only one to have that.
I use the Action Replay 4M Plus with my PAL-Saturn. It works great with my import games. I love the SEGA Saturn.
TheVerytex just outs curiosity what pal games do you play
Chilly Willy 88 If you want, you can visit my channel. I have uploaded some (PAL) Saturn gameplay videos, attract mode stuff etc. un-emulated. More to come in the future (Japanese, US games too). Thx. ☺
Is the slower gameplay of the US and Japanese games on your Pal system noticeable?, because of the 50/60 Hz fr?
gfgfgf40 Yes, it's noticeable.
Thanks for answering. I wanted to get a modded Saturn, but the price is insane. Action Replay it is.
So the N64 the first
Mizzah Tee
The Vectrex came out in 1983 and beat all of these systems to the punch with the analog controller...
Mizzah Tee i
Yup Nintendo made it mainstream
Incorrect. Nights was released in August of 96 in N America and July of 96 in Japan.
Great video - After switching to using RGB SCART with an upscaler I have been amazed at how good the games look! Heres a few import titles I would recommend
1. Batsugun
2. Thiunder Force V
3. Donpachi / Dodonpachi
4. Akumajo Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight
5. Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru
6. Shining Force III (all 3 scenarios, which recently got a US translation patch)
Saturn love all day long people! Nice to see you again Anna!
I love how you give Sega Saturn so much love, I love saturn and a lot europeans do as well.
wow, Anna knows her saturn games....
kudos for both of you being awesome
She said ray earth was a long game.....its 6 hours....LOL
The battery explanation saved me. I've been playing a burnt out battery - used Saturn and have been upset with this. No longer! Thankssssss
Useful tip: the action replay cart can be soft modded with a software called PseudoSaturn to play back ups/burnt games.
Lewis C. shh!!! thats best kept our little secret!
I guys, a little hello from France. You are very famous in my country.
Your Videos are great.
Go on I love it.
See you
Bonjour! J'adore la MJR, et toi? [I took French for one semester...apologies]
It's already good .
You know in France we speak not very English, so the effort is praiseworthy.
I love the videos of MJR. They are very interesting
I also like when you are with him as on video today.
Thanks for the reply and soon
The Saturn looks incredible when outputting to your TV via RGB Scart. I definitely recommend it.
F
Anna made a huge visual change between last year and this year. Totally appreciate the video about the Saturn in detail. There are a lot of videos about Saturn but its great to see all the details and opinions from fellow gamer nerds (some of whom experienced the original launch as I did)
A wise man once said, "Saturn is life. Life is Saturn."
Still giving my Saturn the love it deserves, in 2016.
The SCART cable I got for my NTSC Saturn was $9.99 from Amazon. The converter was $35. Use it in 720p mode for the least input lag as that resolution is just 3x 240p. It's dope on an HDTV!
Love the Saturn. Definitely check out the import scene...tons of great titles that are very import friendly.
She needs to be on more often, she's fucking awesome and hilarious
Dat somebody's daughter bruh, with that being said I would nut on her forehead
Donkey Kong Lmfao!!
I was an online dealer in High School in early 2000's before it was cool. Then I recently started to start collecting again love these videos.
if you need one import game on saturn, it's princess crown
ivan bijelic That games needs a damn remake or port release on PC and the PlayStation (since Vanillaware releases their games on Sony platforms).
ivan bijelic Yeah, I know. I have a copy of it, but hopeful we'll see an english version someday.
+Matthew J. Boone that would be great a collection bundle with odinsphere and muramasa
There was a fan translation being worked on. Hope to see it get finished someday.
Gillian Seed Good to know. Also, glad to see that the English translation of Policenauts on Saturn was completed recently; have been wanting to play it for so long. I know we had the PlayStation version for awhile.
Radiant Silvergun is the pinnacle of the Saturn for me. It is a shmup
with a LEVELING system, most shooters, you die a lot. In Radiant, you
die a lot, but keep your level, so you can breeze through earlier levels
not only with memorization, but with a lot more power. That's the
beauty of the game.
Love the Sega Saturn but your gonna have to sell your house if you wanna collect for it
ShaolinGamer OUCH! is collecting really that pricey? It makes me happy I kept everything I bought (“Panzer Dragoon Saga” from a buddy that worked at Babbages)- he only asked me $40.00 for his Flawless copy, as he’d already beaten it.
ShaolinGamer I just had an idea, and it’s a pretty good one: we sell our *neighbor’s houses* without telling them! Foolproof!”
random internet user I thought this card works to play all import Saturn games without needing a mod. Did I miss something? Thanks!
Good thing I collect for the japanese Saturn then.
Unless you go the dirty route where you get a special card that allows you to play reproductions on it
My Saturn just arrived in the post today, so good to see this!
I have Panzer Dragoon Saga, and I agree with it being one of the greatest rpg's ever created.
I'd pay to tour Anna's Game room. Certainly one of the most expansive ones I've seen for someone so young. Thank you for sharing! I gave up on anything Sega in the 90's with no regrets
Fuck I really needed this, love your buying guides. Thanks a lot, you guys are awesome. Keep on with the great work!
I have all of these games listed except Bomberman, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Three Dirty Dwarves. I love the Saturn so much, especially with Panzer Dragoon Saga; one of my favorite games of all-time. The console is up there as one of my favorites.
very underrated system
I'm almost there
Darius is pronounced "dar-ee-oos". It was a Persian king, and that is how its pronounced in Farsi.
Yes, very similar to the Persian pronounciation
Drew V Is that how you pronounce the first name of the lead singer of Hootie & The Blowfish too?
Drew V Darius aryon
dont tell me how to pronounce my own name!!!
metaljesus' second pronunciation of Darius is how its said
I loved my Sega Saturn as a kid. Oh boy, the nostalgias kicking in >
I love shooting weird floating shit
Me too!!
David Gregory and who doesn't? 😂
You literally cannot talk enough about the epic Sega Saturn so please keep the vids coming! Its like the Soundgarden to the N64 an PS1's PJ and Nirvana. Criminally overlooked compared to the others.
Hey MetalJesus, when is the 3DS buying guide coming out? Great video by the way.
I still need to capture the gameplay footage for the episode...so gonna be a couple weeks.
Oh ok, shame. I look forward to it!
fire pro wrestling 6 man scramble
Anna is very cute! 😍
I’ve been interested in getting a Saturn for awhile but didn’t think there were many good games. Now I know there’s plenty of fun games for the system.
Wish dream cast played Saturn discs
Great to see Anna again, you have the best guests MJR. While I didn't own a Saturn it would've been worth it for puzzle fighter alone, I have so many fond memories playing that game for ages with my brother and sisters, it seemed to just gravitate everyone towards it. Great throwback, love and respect! x
it would be great if that Saturn version of shenmue was ever released/playable just to see what the platform could achieve pushed to its very limits. Suzuki has mentioned wanting to make it playable in some way, maybe as a bonus if/when Sega get gets to do a HD port?
isn't this the second time your doing this video? don't you think you made Saturn Bomberman raise in price enough!?!?
piss off you idiot
Hip Hop Hooligan I don't get how I'm an idiot for stating a fact.
***** finally someone who understands, looks like everyone else can't accept the fact that this is his second top 10 Saturn games with the SAME person
Hip Hop Hooligan you are a fool
Best youtuber
I love this channel man. I recently got my Sega Saturn and it is one of the best consoles I have in my collection. Plus when I got it, I got it with the nights into dreams, great game!!!!!! Keep up the good videos MetalJesus I always watch them on my free time and get ideas for my collection. Thank you!!!!!
great video mjr, you say your cases are bad, try the PAL cardboard ones! so fragile.
Fortunately Sega learned from their mistakes in the Saturn era and gave us PAL Dreamcast cases made out of the most brittle plastic they could find. :-)
The PAL plastic Saturn cases are very nice and rugged, at least, it's just a shame so few games used them.
benryves very true and although very large I did prefer the plastic video case style Saturn cases.
Another great video.
you forgot the sega saturn steering wheel controller
So glad I got PDS when it was released, along with most of the games on your list.
Always loved my Saturn and got my original I bought on release.
Great video.
She looks sooooo mad for the first 4 seconds. 😂😂😂😂😂
I've never even played a Saturn before... it's one of the few console systems left that I still need to get! Would love to get my hands on Bomberman!
The games you showed look great but they're just way too expensive. I had a Saturn & sold it after a month for that reason
get a job you bum
The prices on a lot of this Saturn stuff used to be affordable, but there's no way Id buy Sotn on it these days.
I remember when batsugun went from $80 to $300 in the span of a month and STILL hasn't gone down.
Just get pseudo saturn.
@@GiordanDiodato I have a good job thank you, I just don’t think £70 for a slightly above average for the time 25 year old game is worth it.
You and the people who “thumbed up” your comment should be ashamed of yourselves.
(Rude prick).
I'd say the Saturn is definitely one of the best consoles for imports, particularly shmups that never came over here.
Magic Knight Rayearth (£300+) in a buying guide.. Seriously?
Buying guides should be seen as quick starts to a console..
Eg 1. Ffvii, Tekken 3, Gran Turismo and Resident Evil 1 or 2 on the origional playstation..
Eg 2. Donkey Kong Country, Mario all stars, Mario Kart and starwing on SNES
Putting MKR in there is like putting Suikoden 2 on a ps1 buying guide .. or Fire Emblem Path of Radiance on
a Gamecube (or Goemon 2 boxed in a pal N64 guide XD)
It's soo out of place, this is a prime example why you get bad comments about driving prices up on hidden gem vids..
I remember playing nights into dreams back then n it was amazing....really no pressure playing it...jus havin fun flying around....great times....
My all time favorite console. So many amazing 2D shmups and fighters. PS. Those arcade sticks shown here are pieces of shit. Get the japanese virtual stick if possible.
AenimaEater Yes that's true. The SEGA Virtua Stick HSS-0136 is my favorite fighting stick for the Saturn. 👍
That game is garbage.
sonic r is The Cringe.
Dustin Nunn Noooooo! You should definitely give em another try. Gameplay wise they re the best.
sonic jam also
Professor Officer You mean Virtua Fighter?
Dustin Nunn Yes.
I'm a big fan of Die Hard Arcade/Dynamite Deka! Gotta scoop up a Saturn for myself!
Thank you MetalJesus for the guide
Anna is so Rad! MetalJesus you have the best video game channel on RUclips. I just started collecting for my Sega Saturn again so this video helps a ton. Keep up the great work.
I remember playing Decathlon at my friends house. That was just a super fun game to me trying to break each other's records over and over.
Seen so many Hmj vids, and I've missed Anna every time. Weird. Hours of this chubby angel, and I can still discover things I like about this channel.
Shining Force 3, Dragon Force, Guardian Heroes and the list goes on ... Saturn was a criminally underestimated console.
Mind BLOWN that folks in the US weren't using SCART as standard. It was the only decent way to play until HD!
So glad someone finally mentioned Three Dirty Dwarves. Amazing game. The original humorous Behemoth style game before Behemoth was a thing, but the high quality 2D sprite and 2.5D combo was so good.
I found today Sega Saturn game at flea market and I jumped to time machine to relearn Sega Saturn wisdom! Thanks for enlightment and especially for mentioning action replay!
Just wanted to say CONGRATS on making WatchMojo's Top 10 Retro Gamer RUclips Channels list!! You deserve it times infinity!
Great tip on changing the battery on the motherboard, I've had to do that several times! I've been buying a bunch of Saturn imports recently at a local shop for 1-5 dollars a piece!
