do you find any change in performance if you speed up or slow down your drill press? I have found sometimes the wood catches and flys off my press. wondering if I slowed it down if it may work better. awesome videos
I do slow it down when making rings. But what you describe I eliminated by using a spiral up cut flute bit on the router, choosing the grain orientation of my wood carefully and using epoxy instead of wood glue to make the wood sandwich. Wood glue dries too brittle.

I did cringe a little when I saw you cut that hole through the ply with no backing board underneath. If that hole jig blade touches the iron table it will surely damage the cutting bit. Nice job though ....luckily. Honestly though, nice job.
Is the hose clamp flexing the wood ring just enough to hold the router in place? In other words, once the router is mounted underneath the press table, is loosening the hose clamp all you need to do to remove the router?

A great project and good video BUT, I am continually amazed that RUclipsrs don't seem to review their videos before posting them. The changes in volume are really annoying and in the case of this video, it started out way too soft, then there was a section where I thought my eardrums would burst, then it dropped off to near nothing again. Please take care with your edits before posting.
