Dear Ollari, if you get yourself a negative rake blade your cutting of aluminium will become a dream as you cut it like butter and with smooth edges. Thanks for sharing your ideas on upgrading a drill press to make it more useful. Cheers.
I really am pleased that someone can copy your steps with low end tools, a lot of us can't afford high-end tools like lathes, plainer … etc., and hopefully have the same outcome you have, great job.
Of all the things I have built over time to be more efficient I have never thought of doing these things for my drill press. Thanks for sharing and now time for me to implement!!
The dust collection with a flex drain hose is a capitol idea. Adding the till for the drill bits is also good but I’m wondering about having the business end of the bits pointed up. Especially those Forsner bits.
This is a great tip video. I want to make a similar tray for my drill bits but was have a hard time finding a way to attach it. And I have a lot of aluminum in my scrap metal-bin that I've been saving for something like this. Thanks!!
Really great ideas and very clever implementation. Love the bit holder and dust collection. Your method of placing the caliper is far superior than other methods I've seen here on YT. Great video. Thanks for the inspiration.
so I've been watching a lot of these drill press table builds lately, planning to make my own soon, and I've been thinking "why doesn't anyone make a circular sacrificial plate?" ... and there you are having made just that. It just makes sense. Nicely done!
love it. very convenient and I really like that you're not going for the most expensive tools around but rather start with ones that everyone can afford. Subscribed.
BUON VIDEO. OTTIMA L'IDEA DELL'AUDIO/NATURA CHE ABBINATO, ALLA VISIONE D'IMMAGINI, CREA UN CONTESTO, PIACEVOLE E INTERESSANTE. OTTIMO IL RISULTATO DELLE REALIZZAZIONI. COMPLIMENTI DI CUORE. SALUTI SALVIO
Great upgrades. I have been back and forth about a drawer for my router bits, but I'm liking your swivel caddy idea much better. Caliper things gauge was cool too. Have to look at my press again to see if I can do it. My Harbor Freight depth stop doesn't work very well.
Speaker magnet to hold the chuck key to the side of it. Just go to some music store and grab one out of the dumpster or ask if they have some in the back. They are great for that and on the fridge too. They hold a couple pounds and are free !!! Also, put some bar soap on your hacksaw blades and files when cutting or filing aluminium as it keeps the filings from filling up the teeth.
Very cool, brilliant, and useful all in one. I have a small garage that I'm using for car repairs, knife making, wood work, and welding (carefully). This is one of the videos that I'm definitely saving because I need to do these. Thanks.
1:30 almost spat my coffee out. Was not expecting this. What I WAS expecting, was the standard ftshhhh-thwack of a nail gun. Not starship phasers. Love it
@@Ollaris Mine's all mixed in a plastic bin on the shelve and mainly working with steel I still wear gloves, will not say what a pain it is to get them out there! Great video again, keep up the great work!
Meant to comment too regarding the circular scab cut out rather than a rectangular version that most jig builders use ... circle is much more efficient in terms of material usage.
I believe I remember reading Nostradamus predicting a man of such wisdom would eventually grace the woodworking community. Is it true sir that you invented NASA? I humbly bow in your presents! Amazing work.
Great ideas. I have done most of these to mine as well (not the dust collection though). The one thing I added to mine was a fence. It makes drilling repeated holes in multiple parts a breeze.
Thanks! I had a fence on my old drill press table but i hardly every used it. It's pretty simple to set one up if someone does a lot of repetitive drilling.
This is why I like your channel. You are very creative which inspires me to be more creative with my builds. Thank you for that! We think alike. I just received the same flexible hose in chrome for this exact purpose but was trying to think of an easy way to attach it to the pillar of my drill press. I love the use of inexpensive aluminum that you can manipulate into whatever shape you want. I had thought to use a U-bolt but thought of maybe using hardwood to attach the tray but I like your idea of using the aluminum better. Clever!!
Very nicely done, all you need now is an adjustable stop. I once made a video for this, you can find it if you search for "Drill Press Table with a swivel fence you never saw before"
good video and tips there, it really does show how much crap you get on the drill press from a small forstner bit, love that handmade hacksaw!! Makes cutting more pleasurable I would imagine knowing you made the tool yourself, I find that with my wood turning chisels.
Saubere Arbeit, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes ;-) Coole Ideen. Besonders das runde Opferbrett ist clever, das hab ich vor kurzem noch irgendwo gesehen. LG Heiko
Awesome Video!!! The sound effects are hilariously on point! Made me a subscriber from just that. And great additions to the drill press
Thank you very much Brett!

That wold be great. And also a flat tooth blade for cutting rabets. But sadly i can’t buy anything else than the regular ones in my country.
I really am pleased that someone can copy your steps with low end tools, a lot of us can't afford high-end tools like lathes, plainer … etc., and hopefully have the same outcome you have, great job.
Thank you very much Howard!
Love the drain pipe for vacuum hose, I'm definitely gonna do that in my shop for my milling machine
GET !! CHIPS !! STUCK !! IN !! THE !! PIPE !!!! EXCELLENT !! THAT !! TOO !!!
These were all useful, but turning a digital calipers into a DRO was brilliant.
my drill press appreciates your video and my ears appreciate your editing
Love your bird, water, wind noises inserted to replace the screeches and grunts of real tooling. Thank you,
I like the use of the flexible drain pipe ... excellent idea!!!!👍👍👍👍
Thank you 🙏
Actually, some impressive ideas. Especially the depth gauge.
Of all the things I have built over time to be more efficient I have never thought of doing these things for my drill press. Thanks for sharing and now time for me to implement!!
Jessie Shehane Thanks for watching!
Excellent add-ons
I love that you edited the sound. So nice instead of loud machine noise.
Thanks Dennis! Glad you like it!
Best on YT for sure!
You sir are a great craftsman, I love all your wood working video

Depth gauge/DRO is a great idea - too good to pass up - I'm going to have a go too!
Really great ideas and very clever implementation. Love the bit holder and dust collection. Your method of placing the caliper is far superior than other methods I've seen here on YT. Great video. Thanks for the inspiration.
Glad you liked it!

Nicely done!
It's great in theory, but I can make 20 square sacrificial plates in 2 minutes.
But i don’t have to make any. Just turn it a few degrees and you got a fresh place. Takes about 2seconds.
love it. very convenient and I really like that you're not going for the most expensive tools around but rather start with ones that everyone can afford. Subscribed.
Thanks Philipp!
Same drill press as me. Liked this very much.
the flex pipe idea rocks !
Thanks!
Cool idea.... I love the drill bit holder and the dust collection was great. Good job Sebastian, thanks for sharing.

Man that some powerfull Nivea cream. Never seen before.. Amazing build and update for the drill press!.
Excellent modifications - additions ! Brilliant ideas as always !
Thanks!

Great ideas and video editing. I especially liked the Diresta shout out. Nice work!

Thanks! Yup, it’s difficult to set up a space that you can do all of those different things.
1:30 almost spat my coffee out. Was not expecting this. What I WAS expecting, was the standard ftshhhh-thwack of a nail gun. Not starship phasers. Love it
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it 😄
Just watched this video - great idea for the insert in the drill area... And loved the sound effects!
Those are brilliant! The digital calipers was a fantastic idea... wish I thought of that one. :) Great job, man!
Thanks Drew!
Such a cool video with some great ideas. The sound effects are just the cherry on top. Keep up the good work!
I like the water-powered router. Nice touch.
Thanks 😅
Awesome, will definitely be lending some ideas to use in my workshop. Especially drill bit holder!
Thanks a lot Robert! It’s definitely better than having a all in one drawer 😅
@@Ollaris Mine's all mixed in a plastic bin on the shelve and mainly working with steel I still wear gloves, will not say what a pain it is to get them out there! Great video again, keep up the great work!
Like this setup, very creative!! Thanks so much!!
Love the sound effects, very interesting!

Awesome idea with drill press tool holder. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks Rich!
Amazing. The. Shots...the editing and the sound are just incredible. Thank you
Thanks Joe!
Great engineering and out of the box thinking! Wow!
Thanks Garry!
Digital depth gauge is the most useful. Table with a fence is next.
Thanks!
I like it! I’ve already fitted a digital depth gauge but your drill bit holder and dust collection is a great setup. Thank you for sharing 👍😎🇦🇺
Cheers John!

Hahahahaha! Thanks a lot Greg!
Brilliant, the sound replacement i loved it
Very good project !!! Thank’s for sharing Ollari’s

Flowing water & birds instead of router noise may be the greatest thing I've heard this year.
Thanks David!
Loved the sound effects!
Great project..thanks please do more.
Cool ideas, I really like the caliper DRO and dust collector.
Very nicely done, great job mate. 👍
I lol'd the second the router magically transported me to a serene shady stream. You got a new subscription from me. Thank you.
Thank you very much!
Great ideas. I'm using them. Thanks for sharing.

Love the birdies. Great ideas. Thanks.
Didn't know it was possible to cut steel with a wood blade.
Great video by the way.
Fantastic design and implementation !! Thanks for the great ideas !!!!
Love the depth gauge!!! 👍
Thanks Rick!

Thanks Stephan! I made one 2 years ago for my old one. i didn't really used it .so i left it off on this one.

I love the sound inserts, they are amazingly funny!
I especially liked the drill bit holder and digital depth gauge. Table was nice too!
Thanks a lot!
Awesome ideas! Love the digital depth gage! 👏
Thank you!
Nicely done.
Love the digital calliper turned into a DRO! DROs are expen$ive!

I really like to Trey you made for the different drill bits and the vacuum attachment was cool too
Thanks!
Nice sound edition 👍
This was a very good video. Great ideas - Thanks
mate that is simply brilliant
Thanks Dave!
For the real work worker. He knows what he's doing.
Very good idea.
Willy from Belgium.
🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Willy!
Great stuff. I have one similar for my dill bits but what I really want to see is the build on that Hacksaw
Thanks! I made a video of that too.
Very nice, well done.
Thanks
Great job. Thanks for sharing! Your attention to details is quite inspiring.
Thanks Jose!
Thanks for sharing your video. I enjoyed watching. Take care and God Bless.
I have my chuck key attached to a spring loaded keychain so it always retracts safely up and out of the way and can always be found
All of these are great ideas! DRO and dust collection are my favorite. Thanks for sharing!
Great ideas ....also love the music.😃
Great video and awesome features for a drill press! Gonna incorporate all into mine now. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Thanks Jeff!
I just subscribed because of the waterfalls! Nice vid!
Sebastian these are pretty damn cool man. Thanks, I will be adding these to mine as well!!
Thanks a lot Larry!
Nice sounds. Merry Christmas
That’s definitely handy drill press accessories!
😊
Great job, very creative.
VERY cool stuff.... Thanks
Thanks!
Excellent improvements to a drill press. I hope to copy the digital depth readout. What thickness of aluminum did you use for the brackets? Thanks!
Thanks! About 2mm thick. But thinner works too
Very nice accesories, thanks to share it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching!
Cool accessories, Sebastian!
Billy
Thank you very much Billy!
