Brings back memories when I was a young girl in the 50’s!! Loved the simplicity! I remember the gas station attendants! So courteous! They would clean the windows too! Didn’t have to get out of the car! I wish stations were still doing that!! Wishful thinking!!😃
remember them as well
We have a gas station here in Niantic, CT that still pumps the gas! 🙂
You guys are rockin Route 66. Thankfully you are taking us along. Thanks.
Scott, love your shirt! I grew up listening to CKLW out of Windsor, Ontario Canada while living in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan
I've wanted to make this trip all my life; watching your trip is probably the closest I'll get and I'm so happy you're sharing it with us.
Get you a ride and hit the road!
Route 66 Love my favorite one fan Big hi Jordan Scott 💖💖⭐️⭐️😎😎
Love the 50s and 60s. What a blast to the past.
My maternal grandfather worked for Magnolia. Magnolia Oil was the original home to the flying red horse (Pegasus) and when Mobil merged with Magnolia Mobil kept the flying red horse.
I worked for a Mobile Station back when I was in High School. Late '70s, the beginning of self service, gas lines & gas hitting the price of a dollar...it was crazy! 😵💫
Your story is very interesting, I didn't know about the Flying Red Horse, thank you for sharing!!!
@lisah8610
So cool to see the Esso station. My godfather owned one. His sign off to everyone, no matter the setting, was 'Happy Motoring!'.
Yes i enjoyed everything I saw today another awesome video
Love NM, the wife and I spent 10 days ghost towning. Never stayed in the same town twice. Love your Route 66 series.
This is really well done! I will be watching it all from start to finish again so I don’t miss a thing! Seriously great work on 66😎👏
Thx for a great video!! I have always wanted to drive RT 66 all the way across the country!, I love anything 50’s or 60’s The 60’s had some of the best music! Thx again Jordan! ✌🏻
I think that abandoned building must of been a Public Library. 9:00 It had signs- music, movies, books.
Great video! 👍👍
Those beautiful cars.
Oh nooooo Jordan the long gone gas stations never get old!
Pieces of history from another time...fast disappearing so ENJOY!
Loved the car museum!
Thanks again for taking us along!
Pure Joy!
💪❤❤
Thanks Jordan and Scott this was fun. Love those cars! I had a 1970 Chevelle Malibu myself! Keep em coming!
You did not! Really! What a great car - are you old enough to have had it in high school?1
I was 19 when I had it and i miss it so much!
Great stuff!!!
I didn’t have the time to watch first thing upon waking this morning here, but I’m here to watch before going to bed. Haven’t missed a day on route 66 and loving 🥰 it. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
That Route 66 sculpture was Amazing! I especially like the car tail fin on it.
I’m sharing these two New Mexico vlogs with my brother who loves old classic car exhibits. A real blast from the past on Route 66. Continue having fun exploring and thank you Jordan and Scott for taking us along thru this video. ❤️🙏🏻👍💎🎸🚕🛻🚘⛽️
Fun trip….
Scott wearing the CKLW, the motor city shirt. CKLW was the radio station back in the AM days. Love it
Me too 😊
Cheryl, I still remember the jingle for it. CKLW...the motor city! And there was also WKNR, nicknamed Keener also AM radio dial. My brother was News Director for WJR News talk radio for 40 years, just retired.
I love the gas stations! My mother refused to pump her gas so she always parked in the full service pump. Amoco station usually. Loved the Auburn. Yes on the Munsters car, saw it at a car show in KC years ago. Safe travels! Michelle from Omaha
Thank you guys . Wonderful trip. Seeing all those old signs and cars. Be safe.
Yet another fantastic Route 66 car museum! Those abandoned towns are sad, once booming now ghost towns. It's gonna be a bummer seeing this trip end!!
That's awesome! My mom grew up in Tucumcari and my dad grew up in Santa Rosa! Have a lot of memories of both towns! thanks for the trip down memory lane!
My brother has a 70 Chevelle, he keeps changing the color (I think it's blue now) but always with the black stripes. He does amazing body work right out of his barn!
Thanks for the great tour of Route 66. I think I like Tucumcari the best. The cars were amazing.
Another fun video Jordan! I noticed Scott’s CKLW shirt! I listened to that radio station growing up.
Dear Jordan & Scott, Ty for Sharing Your Wonderful trip experience with us...this is all new to me & wish I'd been there before...Safe Travels!!😊🙏🇺🇲
Another great day on Route 66. That car you were looking at outside is a Ford Edsel. Great old car. Thanks for doing these wonderful videos. Can't wait to see what's next. You and Scott take care.
Thanks Jordan and Scott
Lots of Route 66 RUclips's but Jordy's takes are way more unique and way more interesting. Thumbs up.
My husband had a massive heart attack 3 weeks ago. He's home from the hospital and still very sick, but is enjoying your Route 66 series. Thanks Jordan.
Enjoyed again Jordan and Scott
Ty Jordan and Scott you find the coolest stuff love being on this ride🤗😎🐾I had a 1976 Datsun 280z what a cool car
I took that trip I 1961 in my 1958 MGA..and all those attractions were new...GREAT to see Scott smile...bless you
Man, you people going in all those empty buildings is how he puts the lotion on his skin or he gets the hose again.... best be careful... GREAT journey though! Awesome as always!
Fun vlog Jordan!
Loved the sea green vet!!!
Love the ghost towns . So interesting and yet very sad. Wish I could have seen these places in their hey day
Jordan, that one town with all the derelict buildings looks like it may have been hit by a tornado. Sad. Thanks for a other fun day.
I love the old cars. The murals take me way back, I remember just about all of them. Am I old? Thanks Jordan and Scott.
I had to laugh a little when showed that one car it made me think of the monster as well and the bug reminded me of Herbie the love bug . That poor confuse car out front was definitely one of a kind . Thanks for sharing route 66 journey it's something if I had the funds to do it I'd love to this stuff in person . So again Thanks for sharing and I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel while you were still in California .
What a great place it reminds me of the cozy cone motel in the movie cars
Another great vid Jordan trying to catch up on your trip, I was away for the last several days. Thank you I really enjoy them.
There is a Radio Shack still open near me two towns over.
Bring back memories all adds😂 safe travels
Nice route 66 auto museum in Santa Rosa New Mexico good vlog Jordan vickie napa california
Hey guys - My birthday is coming up on July 3rd. I sure liked that baby blue Mustang - hint, hint. Blessings - Judith 🎵 🎭
In 2012 I stayed at the Laloma Motel in Santa Rosa....WHAT A COOL MOTEL, my fave on the Route 66. Next to it was Joe's Place Bar and Grille.....thanks for the memory Jordan.
Jordan these places you are showing us are fantastic just trying to imagine what it would have been like in its heyday
My first time there, I was astonished watching everyone at the motel unloading diving gear. I found out about the Blue Hole that day in 1996.
I've stayed at the Blue Swallow :) Loved it! Hope to stay there again!
Jordan, that 82 Corvette belongs to a friend of mine in Albuquerque, it’s been in there 2 years it’s actually a silver he said only 157 of them made! Keep up the great work, you said someday you would interview Jesse Coulter. Make It Happen young man!
Hi Jordan and Scott, Day 16 is complete. I believe that was a school administration building. Love the cool cars, and all the buildings of the past stay safe see you tomorrow.
Love Scott's CKLW shirt.
super
That was funny. Right before you said it looks like a Munsters car, I was saying that to myself. Also, I don't know if anyone on here mentioned it but the District 6 building could be a library. I'm going by the Movies, music, book signs. Great vlog.
Years ago, a friend of mine told me that I would love to see Tucumcari New Mexico. I can see why.
That was a Taxicadildozer! 😂😅
Fabulous vlog TFS
Lots of cool cars but that Woody tops 'em all. My friends parents had one of those when I was a kid.
All I can think of is: I need a time machine! 😮 ❤
I40 was the downfall for Route 66 and the towns along the way. These towns were bustling before the diversion. I used to hang out at Park Lake as a kid. That was before they added all the water park fixtures. It was more organic back then. ...so many great memories.
And that's an Edsel! 😮
I’d walk a mile for a Camel, Cracker Jack, Put a Tiger in your Tank 😂😂😂…THOSE WERE THE DAZE MY FRIENDS 🥰🇨🇦😍💕
Looks like a place the TV series "...then came Bronson" and "Route 66" would visit in one of their episodes!
Going to Gallup? Great restaurant Don Diego's, I call it Don Diego del fuego for the salsa!
Is it bad that I'm seeing faces on all these cars and thinking of the movie Cars? lol
Did you guys see the blue hole or did you miss it? Kinda behind that swimming area you showed and is more natural. Fun to jump off the rocks.
Tell your.friend I used to listen to radio station CKLW back in the 60's &70's they played the best music back then
❤😊❤
EXON also did that expression about the Tiger my late oldest brother dressed up in the tiger suite for a while to get money for collage
Love the cars. What was that silver one?
Will you be going to Williams Arizona? I live in Prescott and would love to see you
👍👍👍👍👍
Hello, was that yesterday too ?
🤔😃
District 6 might have recently been a thrift store or library
68 vette* ............great cars in that museum. Owner must be a buick fan as he had alot.
Do you ever think about someone or something jumping out at you when you walk in these abandoned buildings?!
How bout them Reds ? Game 2:10 Mountain time today
Braves hang on, 7-6. I don't appreciate Cincinnati scoring so many runs, they need to calm down.
@@halfwaydecent6842 they're two deep everywhere with 22 year olds
