I've been watching DwJTL since you started your channel. These Route 66 tour videos are among the best videos you have done! And you have continued to travel down Route 66 even after your car broke down!
I remember reading The Outsiders in our 7th grade English Literature class. After reading the book we watched the movie. Every girl in my class cried when Johnny passed away from his burn injuries. There is a gentleman who lives near me who has an amphibious car. It is really cool to watch it go into the water, propell itself through the water and then come back onto land.
Fascinating content, very informative and a pure delight to watch. Thank you , Jordan. Oklahoma 🪶 operates on a different level of vibrations and I believe that Tulsa is the largest ‘small town’ in America.
The automotive museum was fantastic, Jordan. All of the vehicles seemed to be in "like new" condition! The "Rock Cafe" with its knotty pine interior looks like "Dockside," a local restaurant from my childhood. Glad you and Scott are having fun!!!
The outsiders was a great movie! Appreciate this trip Jordan & Scott We thank you so very much! Luv&peace Sean&Family! Just amazing this trip! Cheers!🤝✌
Loving this trip with you both. Thank you for wonderful information and pictures. Loved the murals, loved that TeePee Drive in sign. Cannot pick which one of these vloggs is the best. You just give us so much to see and reflect on. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing what you show tomorrow. I am excited. Cheers and drive safely.
Happy Fathers day too all the fathers out there an ones in heaven ❣️ enjoy all the route 66 travels with Jordan an Scott , 🎥 The outsider's movie had great actors in that movie . beautiful cars in that museum ,that is definitely up my alley thank you very much for taking all of us with you on this adventure ,much appreciated
It has been a long time since I have seen The Outsiders movie. I will watch it again because I don't remember the details. I liked seeing the Woody Guthrie building. I used to sing some of his songs in grade school. Thank you for another fun adventure. 😊
Love watching your trip on the Mother Road! It's definitely a bucket list of mine. Sorry about your car, but loving your positive spirit! Get those kicks on Route 6-6! 🎉
Our English Lit teacher read The Outsiders to our class in 7th grade I vividly remember Pony Boy but sadly not much else.I saw the movie and it brought the book back to my memory.Thank you Jordan your vlog is something I look forward to every day I go back and watch them all from the very first one.
I'm 70 years old total my car in January can't get another car seeing your videos let me see places I never will see thanks keep up the good work like I said before
I love those old gas stations. I need to give a shout out to Scotts tshirt. The Edmund Fitzgerald. I am from Michigan and follow the ships around the lakes via camera's. The Anderson ship was the last ship to be in contact with the Fitz and tried to locate it. She is still working on the lakes, over 70 years old and much loved by everyone. I love this trip you are doing.
I remember watching the outsiders in middle school. The houses remind me so much of an area in my city.. the type of homes seemed popular from the 1030s and 1940 and on. Or at least where I live. That's about when they were built we also have a uhual truck that dies the samething in our downtown Jax.
Hi Jordan & Scott, there are so many quirky things on Route 66. I'm so pleased that we are passing so many. Oh my, I can't believe the size of that menu. Great vlog Jordan.
Wow. I paused at the Rock Cafe menu and saw the Ham and Beans. My grandmother used to have a little cafe in a craft mall and she would cook a pot of beans on Wednesdays (IIRC). When my college classes were on break, I’d go over there for lunch. I miss that so much. A good pot of beans and cornbread with my grandmother would be so good right now. 😢
Hey Jordan you are in my neck of the woods. Grew up in Tulsa and Broken Arrow. Family is still there. Enjoy. Tulsa is a nice town. Many famous people from there.
Some of those small towns between Tulsa and OKC like Sapulpa and Chandler are simply some of the most beautiful towns in America--certainly, along Route 66. Sapulpa in particular has gorgeous tree lined streets and homes just off the main strip
The liberty glass company, just behind the coke bottle display you saw, i where they manufacture coke bottles. The plate represents Fankoma Pottery which is a pottery company that makes all kinds of dishes, bowls and other items like that in Sapulpa where you were when you sowed the display. The cup is from Bartlette glass that makes all sorts of cups and dishes. My wife's grandma retired from Bartlette. She was a painter and would hand paint intricate patterns on various glassware before it was distributed all over the world.
HEY,... JORDAN, JAH & SCOTT WOW,.. that giant Gold man was awesome so many different types of giant guy's holding different kind of stuff the U-Haul on top of the rooftop was cool Back in the 1950s and 1960 there was A place you could go roller skating at on State Street in Bridgeport CT it was a building with a Round top we called it the mosque the roller rink inside was a Rounded shape and it had a stage In back and you could roll right though it and around the hole building it was cool
Another fun day. Love the old bridge. I don't think I'd want to drive across it either. Glad you're keeping on with the trip. I'm really enjoying every video from it. You and Scott take care. Thanks again.
That '65 Impala custom was sweet. I had a 65 Impala but that one topped mine in everyway Except the price1 When I have a 2 million dollar car it will be resting in front of a huge mansion boys & girl's! Goodjob on Rock Cafe1 Dawn is a real nut!
Awesome!!! I was hoping you'd visit some Outsiders locations! That's my all time favorite book. They recently released the movie as "The Complete Novel" where they put all the cut scenes back into the movie. It now follows the book to a T. If you haven't seen this version, I highly recommend it!
Great memories once again, thanks Jordan. PS: That quote of $7500 USD to repair/replace your transmission seems a tad HIGH. Might be wise to get a 2nd opinion. Mike from Canada.
The Outsiders was one of my favorite books when I was a young teenager in the ‘70s. I can’t say that I ever saw the movie, but now I’ll have to look for it. I’m loving this Route 66 series. I’m from West Texas, and I have thought of driving it one day. I’m in my 60s now, so I’d better get busy! 😏
Ok…..you just made me realize Tulsa does indeed have some cool stuff….most of which I haven’t seen and I’ve lived here my whole life. Going to have to check some of them out!
I love Scott's T-shirt of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Growing up in Detroit I heard Gordon Lightfoot's song about the Edmund Fitzgerald all the time. The Mariners Church mentioned in the song is in downtown Detroit.
I would of loved to see you stop in woolaroc. It’s the home ranch of Phillips that started the petroleum company. He was the hurst of Oklahoma & hosted many celebs &politicians there. Even hurst came to hunt on his land & stayed at his ranch.
Omg you were in my hometown Sapulpa and downtown they filmed Rumble Fish another Francis Ford Coppola movie and lots of filming locations with Matt Dillon, Mickey Rourke, Dennis Hoper, Diana Lane, Nicolas Cage, etc I can show you next time you pass through.
I’m rewatching the filming location for the Outsiders. FUNNY thing is I didn’t hear the train the first time. I guess I was paying too much attention the first time 🎥 🎞❤️
BTW, the fountain in the outsiders was built only for the movie. It’s going to displayed soon outside the house you couldn’t tour after they got ahold of the company that built the temp fountain for the movie & obtained all the pieces.
My grandmother Ruth passed away in 2012 at 92 years old and she was born in her grandfathers house in Stroud Oklahoma ❤️ She was part Muscogee creek Indian and she went to the Eufaula Oklahoma Indian school when she was a kid so when I tell people on park creek Indian they laugh because I don't look like it
Jordan it’s Paul, hit me up when you get to Albuquerque. I’ll show you guys around and get you guys a room at the Rt. 66 hotel and casino. Safe travels. 😎

I read for a 7th grade class as well however the movie wasn't made yet by many years.
We read Omen , not the greatest to read before bed.
@@sharihooton6303 i was in the 8th grade when the book was published
Fascinating content, very informative and a pure delight to watch. Thank you , Jordan. Oklahoma 🪶 operates on a different level of vibrations and I believe that Tulsa is the largest ‘small town’ in America.
@Shari Hooton I was a 7th grader in 1982-83. The movie came out in 1983 and if I remember it was released to schools under special circumstances.
God bless Danny Boy O'Connor for the preservation! It really feels like the movie with the sound of the train, all that was missing is G-L-O-R-I-A!
The automotive museum was fantastic, Jordan. All of the vehicles seemed to be in "like new" condition! The "Rock Cafe" with its knotty pine interior looks like "Dockside," a local restaurant from my childhood. Glad you and Scott are having fun!!!
I’ve never seen the movie “the outsiders”! Now I need to find it so I can watch it.
The murals were unreal! A very talented
brilliant artist (s) who did a stunning job.
