This was one of the best Rte 66 days! Wow. The Elk City "museum" was amazing. So glad to see what they've done with the "town." And that '30s Diner and plaza was such a blast from the past and in fabulous condition. Route 66 could make a comeback for families and retirees, to visit what Route 66 once had been. Hopefully they'll stop tearing down our history and instead, repurpose and restore the buildings. Great day!
Really enjoying these longer episodes. Once more, there was an amazing amount packed into one vlog, from Roger Miller to John Steinbeck - Jordan and Scott you are truly 'Kings of the Road'.
Cotton Boll definition : The boll is the rounded mature fruit of the cotton plant. It is made up of separate compartments which are called locks, in which cotton seeds and lint grow. These open at harvest time.
Hi Jordan and Scott, Day 12 in the books was an awesome look back history it was so cool, y'all sat and ate where Elvis visited and ate. Also sad to see site disappear where he stayed. Y'all made another awesome day in the journey. Ty for having me along.
The U Drop Inn was the inspiration for the RAMONS tower gas station in the Disney movie "CARS ". Big Vern's Steakhouse is unfortunately permanently closed. The U Drop Inn is my favorite service station in the U.S., amazing architecture! Happy Trails cowboy!
Loved this installation. The storm chaser vehicle was surprise +. I love those old motels. Reminds me of when I was kid. My Dad would look for those old places because he was to thrifty (cheap) to stay on the interstate at a chain motel. Thanks you guys. You are brightening up a recoup from surgery.
I started to watch this when I woke up this morning, but was distracted with terrible family drama. I’m back to watch before I hit the sack. Thank you for helping me unwind. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
26:14 This is one of the most gorgeously painted art murals I have ever seen. The Roger Miller 5-portrait scene with Rt 66 shield, an outstanding piece of artwork. THIS IS A MUST-SEE in PERSON. A++
This was my favorite episode by far of your Route 66 trip, the Elvis booth at the U Drop Inn was awesome, the terrible demolition of the Motel where Elvis stayed made me sad but I'm looking forward to the next vlog from Texas.I'also enjoyed seeing a different side of Scott.
What a cool trip, loved all the museums and old gas stations the Route just keeps getting better, Ty for all the wonderful finds, be safe jordan and Scott 🤗🐾😎
That was funny when Scott says i would not want to taste Harley 😂😂 i love classic movie the Blob . thank you so much Jordan an Scott taking all us that are unable to travel route 66 .this has been a very fun adventure . Jordans and Scotts own lampoon's vacation. always appreciate the hard work you put in the videos 📷📷
It's hard to point out one thing in this vlog. Everything seemed so neat to see. Especially the Rt 66 museum. Harley there, with his collection of memorabilia enjoying a Jack Danial's drink.
It's so good you are doing these videos. We lose so much history every day. I loved this one too. Thank you for doing this for us. Can't wait for tomorrow's video. Take care.
Cotton "boll" is the fluffy cotton part of the plant. Cotton ball is what they call the manufactured cotton balls. But cotton "ball" is acceptable when referring to the plant as well.
I enjoyed this one so much, I watched it again right off the bat 😀 thanks you guys. Scott it was nice you talked more this time. Have a good and safe day.
Really enjoying your vlogs throughout Route 66. That’s great that you included an old clip of the Trade Winds Inn. That’s why your buddy Adam the Woo reinforces filming things for posterity. One day those places could be gone
It's a "boll" as in the boll weevil, a beetle that feeds on cotton buds and flowers. If you're interested, there's a boll weevil monument in Enterprise, Alabama.
I love the cars especially that hippie van. Growing up in Huntington Beach California I remember seeing the VW buses/vans a lot now I never see them in Texas
Thanks Jordan and Scott. This was a Awesome Vlog. I've enjoyed this one as well. Both my twin and I have watched. Agree, this will be worth stopping for. We watch on our own, compare notes. We pretty much know the places we want to spend time at. The Museums, the places to eat, which don't have much to see 👍. So Thanks, we both also subscribe to Scott Dearly Departed. Watch his vlogs as well. Take care, you guys be careful in those tall grass areas and the run down abandon buildings. I'll be filming, so will my twin. We will have our own videos. Again thanks for taking us along.Scott don't talk much, seem quiet.🙂. I know he's enjoying this road trip. It's nice to have a friend along to share the experience. Love, respect and positivity always. Vee.👍✌️🖖🕯️💕🙏🦋🌻🌠🌷🙂👋👣. Next week we shall start our trip down route 66.😁.
The boll weevil (Anthonomus grandis) is a beetle that feeds on cotton buds and flowers. Thought to be native to Central Mexico,[1] it migrated into the United States from Mexico in the late 19th century and had infested all U.S. cotton-growing areas by the 1920s, devastating the industry and the people working in the American South. During the late 20th century, it became a serious pest in South America as well. Since 1978, the Boll Weevil Eradication Program in the U.S. allowed full-scale cultivation to resume in many regions
Been there done that and you have to do it too! Love the feeling I got seeing all these places. I consider Route 66 as the world's largest theme park only its for real.
Jordan, luv the channel and follow it up with it. The 66 trip is awesome.. one minor correction on that the SS Camaro it's a '69 that happens to be on 66. Enjoy the Vlog very much. Thank you for making the days brighter !
The Spa guy did a vlog on Elvis's room from the outside, and how Elvis was able to sneak in next to a brick wall that use to be there closer to his room. Great vlog Jordan!
Love this. Just a note: not sure if we had it wrong growing up, but we lived in Texas and pronounced the Conoco gas stations like you say Domino, only Conoco.
Wow, glad you had that Trade Winds Inn footage. Sad when things get torn down. Loved the Elvis booth and story at the U Drop Inn. Oh yeah, almost forget - loved seeing The King of the Road, Roger Miller stuff. Glad you two are having a good time !

The dude in overalls saying take all the pictures you want. Awesome. And dropped some knowledge. Most excellent.
Cotton Boll is the whole cotton blossom on the plant, with the leaves still around the cotton.
