Kullandığınız beton matkaplarının tek değerli yeri ucundaki Tungsten (volfram) karbürdür. İlk kesimde çoğunu traşlayarak attınız. Kalan az bir miktarıda ağza gelmesine dikkat etmeden gelişigüzel yerleştirdiniz. Kalan kısımlar değersiz sıradan çelik. Bazı kısımlarına kömürden aşırı karbon yüklemesi oldu. Bu aşırı karbonlu kısımlar asit uygulaması ile koyu renk olarak belirdi. Yaptığınız bıçağın ve işlemlerin teknik olarak doğru bir yönü yok genede emeğinize sağlık. Metalurji konusunda çok okuma yapmanız iyi olur.

Well, if all of these were brand new and never been used, then it's not practical and economical to make a knife out of it. Sorry but I don't see the logic of doing this.

At what point did the tungsten all fall out? There is no way to forge that stuff .I am surprised that you didn't cut the ends off before starting

So, did the cutting tips fall off, or somehow get incorporated into the finished product?
tungsten tips are brazed on, so fell out, you can clearly see one missing at 1:56
You can't forge Tungsten carbide. So the tips likely shattered under the hammer and flew away. Those carbide tips were brazed in so likely, some of the brazing material remained.
Where did that cemented carbide go?

shanks are usually very soft, pretty useless for cutting.

I'm surprised how many commenters think this guy is 'amazing'. He has only rudamentary blacksmithing skills, a big power hammer, and little/no aesthetic sense. His work is barely more than high school level. His H+S is virtually non-existent. And what was the point of destroying perfectly good drills when he could have bought/salvaged quality steels to make decent pattern-welded damascus? That 'knife' looks like garbage. Not impressed. I'm out.

Just starting the video... I don't think rock drills are made from a steel that is suitable to make a knife. Normal drills are made from HSS. That works well. This? Probably not.
you might don't know but some rock drill or jackhammer drill are made out of high carbon alloyed steel
@@agaralpha1842 Found out the hard way recently because the jackhammer bit rounded off because I didn't continuously spray water on it. It softened by the heat and flatted out. ^^
But I also was not precise enough in my critique. What I actually meant: Using those rock drill bits leaves you in the dark. Maybe there is sufficient carbon in them? Maybe there is not? As the carbide tips are brazed in, the shank is probably not in a tempered state any more. So the designer didn't specify a heat treatment there by manufacturing design. Chances are huge, that the steel was not chosen based on its heat treatment capabilities, but by price. Which would leave you with a terrible knife.

Usually, those shanks are pretty low carbon as they don't have to hold an edge. Looking at his sparks while grinding, that seems to be the case. I imagine this knife won't hold an edge.
Your thumbnail shows bits with titanium nitride coated tips but the new bits you opened were not coated. What's up with that?

That was pretty cool to watch until it came to putting the scales on and the gap that was between the tang and scales. To me it had all the effort in the actual build and when it got to the scales it was like meh I'll just slap it together and call it good.

Как правило свёрла делают из высокоуглеродистой стали или быстрорежущей стали р6 м5 , если вы сделали нож из р6м5 то чтобы закалить данную сталь нужна температура 1200 градусов и закалить данную сталь в горне невозможно !!!Нужна бариевая печь .
