Absolutely great blacksmith work and a really beautiful blade shape. I liked everything up to the point where he hardens. This method of hardening only the cutting edge is really not good. It looks good because you can clearly see a hardening line, but the big disadvantage is that this hardening process creates extreme tension in the steel and this tension remains because it does not disappear even when the steel is finally tempered. So in the end you have a really dangerous blade that can shatter very easy. Then there is the file steel, which is not particularly suitable anyway, because it is often only chemically surface hardened and is not consistently good steel.

You might be right. we've been doing this for decades. I think it is ok as we don't us it for heavy work. thanks for good comment.
