Love these videos where you help others out! I'm an immunocompromised cancer survivor, so a home gym is my only option now. Would love to see you help others out in similar situations. I love your honest equipment reviews, but inspirational stories with home gym builds are my favorite.
Definitely more gym builds. Or better yet, home gym makeovers! That would be a cool series where you go to different home gym setups and then “coopify” them. That would be really cool.
This is so cool! I’m actually doing the same thing right now with my folks. Since I never shut up about home gyms and GGR for the last 3 years, I’ve finally made my mom want her own. Got her the bowlex 552s, and the rep zero gap bench to start. Thanks for all the inspiration and great content!!!
What I like about the idea of a home gym build series is not only do we get to see some potentially very nice home gym setups, but no doubt each home gym will come with its unique challenges when designing. I like the idea of seeing how you choose to use the space and get as much function out of it as possible for the needs of the user.
This is what I would like to do for my parents too. Nice set up! I’m sure your parents really appreciate it. You should become a home gym build consultant!
Love the gym builds. I would also like to series related to see gym tours to see how others utilize their space to build their home gyms just to get the ideas flowing on what can be possible especially in small spaces or a limited budget.
Budget oriented build with the most expensive pieces at $2.2k and $600 yet we're at $20k per video title. I know this wasn't supposed to be budget oriented but I'm not sure how everything else adds up to $17k.
Okay okay okay, the gym is amazing. But can we get a CRIBs of your patents house. This place looks amazing. Also Side note, love the garage builds and tours. Be super cool to see Subscriber home gym remodels or even just seeing crazy at home gyms of anyone. Keep it up.
Love the Gym tour, definitely would appreciate if you could try to link up with home gym honors with physics. They built with their home gym. Also, I heard that CBUM has a home gym now.
Love the gym builds. One concern, the ceiling fan when using the pull up bar on the new rack, and not get guillotined when the thing is rotating up there….
Garage Gym Reviews needs a contractor portion of the website where all they do is videotape making gyms for people. Like a homebuilder show but for garage gyms/ basement gyms! Expand your horizons garage gym reviews!
I have the Titan leg press, it's great, but spin the leg press around so the headrest is towards the wall, not away from the wall, seems counterintuitive, but it makes getting in and out of it 10 times easier.
@@GarageGymReviews as Coop mentioned a huge part of the reason to build and use a garage gym is showing our kids that we have the discipline to exercise in our free time and grind out some reps and get sweaty and uncomfortable. Probably safe to safe we wouldn’t have GGR if not for Coop’s dad’s influence. I can still envision my old man plugging away on his NordicTrack in the 80’s and mom doing some ballet moves at her home ballet barre. My kids will play around with the slam balls and med balls and bands and the nordic curl while I’m working out. They’re learning good form on kettlebell swings and the oldest is now pushing her 5’s on the trap bar deadlift. So yes please get a long interview with Coop’s dad pretty please.
Your a great son, I'm sure your parents are proud of you. You can build me a gym if you want. I just need a garage built, loads of money and for you to come to the UK 🇬🇧.
Excellent video - you are a great son! My upgrades would include mounting a few mirrors (wherever your parents think it would be most valuable) and ditch that bulbous fan with something more streamlined to promote airflow and gain overhead space. Again, this was an excellent video and would appreciate this as a parent! You're the man Coop or "Cooper"!
Coop! Where is the paint, updated trim, mirrors, fans, stereo system, updated lighting!?? You can do better! 😂 Surely we'll see a parents gym version 2?
My dude. That rack WITHOUT the pullup bar or stabilizer is $1,175 shipped. $850 MSRP. I'm keenly aware because I'm trying to justify the 50% markup from Rogue
Nice home gym, much more bare bones than you usually do, and more applicable to most of us. They still have a lot more space than I do. I'd also like to see more home gym builds.
What a good son! Liked the explanation of equipment. I would love to see you compare the Amazon squat rack/dual cable set ups. The ones from China are so cheap but are they any good? I am looking at Major Luite, Force USA and Supgym. And possibly one with a Smith machine.Could you please do an Amazon comparison of these multi gyms from budget to the best?
Please review the Fitness Reality X-Class Light Commercial High Capacity Olympic Power Cage. I've seen this unit has had some upgrades from 2015 and would love to know your thoughts. Going to add this comment to a few of your videos with hopes you see it.
Can you give some sort of price breakdown? The title is $20K home gym - was the flooring just really expensive? I'm in the process of outfitting my basement and looking at what that room looks like and that pricetag I'm feeling like there is a big gotcha on my horizon that I'm somehow missing. I've got a set of 5-50lb DBs from rep + a victory stand, a full SS double diamond barbell, urethane equalizer plates, blackwing bench, and getting ready to buy a power rack w/ athena + Lat/Low + full stack upgrades on both and this is still under $10K. Feels like I am missing something and the only thing I can fathom is that I need to be ready for some serious sticker shock when I go to do rubberized flooring...
@@ExpeditionaryRanger I'll tell you when it arrives in like 3 weeks =/. I ordered it beginning of last month but the lead time with newer stuff from rep is annoyingly long. The blackwing took about 6 weeks to arrive as well, though it was worth the wait. Thing is built like a tank, super happy with it.
Coop/videographer Nathan, how does the Titan leg extension/curl compare to the isolator? I know the isolator has more functionality, but I’d mainly use it for legs anyway. Comparisons for range of motion, seat stability, weight capacity, even pressure across both legs during use would be greatly appreciated!
Coop , great, but that ceiling fan is awfully close to the pull up bar. A bit scary to have that going that close to the bar. Maybe change the light fittings.
Can you do a video about your switch to barefoot style shoes? I’m making a guess here but it looks like you’re now wearing those and it would be good to hear your feedback on products and process
I ordered a sample from that second skin company and it still smells like rubber. I just hit the link below. Is there a specific one that doesn’t smell?
We need to see more gym builds
Yup starting with my garage
I second this. More gym tour/builds please!
Gym build raffles!
absolutely, he should do sponsorship garage surprise gym make overs
@@davidhenderson1738 , Then my gym next
You know why I'm here. A dream gym is def in the basement.
@BasementBrandon Coop missed the shout out to you for the worst place to put a gym, I was thoroughly surprised haha
You being the basement gym aficionado surely you were consulted prior to and throughout this project? Yes?
@@MIDTOWNE1 Yes, Coops parents and I have a weekly call to discuss all things Coop 😜

Imagine retiring from power lifting with a 720lb squat @ 220 and having a son who doesn’t even lift.
Now that's funny lol - Coop
It was 750 fool. Get it right. 😊
🤣🤣
Y’all might need to start doing more builds like this. Seems like a natural evolution of the channel
Definitely more gym builds. Or better yet, home gym makeovers! That would be a cool series where you go to different home gym setups and then “coopify” them. That would be really cool.
It’s great to see a build like this in a smaller space. We all want 3-car garage sized gyms, but not everyone has the space for that.
This is so true!
Really enjoy the gym builds, especially the give away gym renovation. ❤
Do more! Want to see other home gyms

Sam's advert for the flooring was incredible.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm just not seeing $25k of equipment, even with the flooring.
As a home gym owner, I love seeing the builds.
Great job guys! Loved the gym tour. Please do more. Would love to see more comparisons of functional trainers. Need help picking one.
You're a good son! My only suggestion is changing the ceiling fan with one that is flush mount.

Definitely more gym builds. Very cool 😎
You mentioned that your dad had back surgery, & therefore no longer squats. Have you tried, & reviewed the SquatMax-MD? Good stuff Maynard.👍🏻
The other Garage Gym (Lab) guy did a detailed review on it. A really good one.
Would like to see comparisons of inverted leg press machines. That Titan looks nice.
I love the gym builds.
W Son. Would love to see more senior friendly setups. this is something i'm trying to also make for my folks.
Coop doesn't even lift but his parents do?!?! Kidding coop, love you.

Sigh - doesn't respond, but does update the title to be even more expensive at $25K vs the $20K it was at time of upload.
I came to the comments to see if anyone asked. My only guess was flooring cost or the cost of that install company? Seemed inflated at $25k

Doing pull ups when the ceiling fan is on looks lethal.
More gym builds.
Hey i think that gym also needs some mirrors so that your dad can flex into it after a hard set of bench press

gym builds : yes !
This week on pim my gym! Coop does his mum and dad's house!
Trust me coop. Your fathers boat being stored in the garage is far more important than a garage gym.
What barbell do they use
Coop , great, but that ceiling fan is awfully close to the pull up bar. A bit scary to have that going that close to the bar. Maybe change the light fittings.

Where is the fixed dumbbells from🧐
